I prefer the anime over the X movie. The movie leaves out so much and changes too much of what was suppsoed to happen. It doesn't match up to the manga very much at all. Also characters aer changed a lot in personality, such as Kusinagi {a very kind and strong person in the anime, but a creepy jerk in the movie.} Also, Kamui's aunt and other characters were left out all together! So therefor, I prefer the anime much over the movie. However I do love the song "Forever Love", and the movie is okay to watch.

sweatdrop ................... Um, as much as I'm having trouble decide which is better, I will say........... none. In fact, I prefer manga over both of them. I agree with you about the movie, it screws up the characters' personalities and the plot except "the Final Battle is about to begin and end." As for the anime, well............ it does have some similarilities to the manga, however, it has some of the plot change that I don't appreciate. For example, the part where Fuuma is about to become 'Kamui' and destroy the building, I like him better destroying in the Clamp Campus than some apartment they're temporary staying. Not to mention that it doesn't have another cross-characters *coughCampusClampDetectivescough* in it. So, I would say none and all hail to manga!!!

You're right, the manga is awesome too. The anime leaves out many characters that you meet in the books. However, the movie leaves out even more. I guess I was trying to put a poll for what's been animated. For the manga is the only one with everything in it. Though the anime did do better for keeping the story and most of the characters accurate.

the manga beats the anime/movie senseless with a hammer. (^.^) Kamui looks effing HOT in the manga. heart i didnt like the movie for the same reasons, but you have to admit they did okay for trying to squeeze 18 volumes into 2 hours.

I looked at the time on the movie: it's only 100 minutes long.
And I prefer the anime to the movie because of all the character development that DIDN'T happen in the movie. To add to that, the soundtrack for the series could destroy Tokyo about as well as Godzilla compared to the movie (except Forever Love...Tokyo's last defense ^^).

The Anime hands down wins. The movie was so short, and so edited. It had less character devolpment than the anime, and plus in the first few minutes someone died. sweatdrop

I agree the movie is really bad because they do in the movie is inacurrate for one thing his mother doesnt give birth to the sacred sword it was his aunt. also they say subaru's last name wrong how hard can it be to say sumeragi not kumeragi lol also karen kasumi isnt a stripper she works at a massage parlor called flower. they left out kakyo a dreamseere for the dragon of the earth. what made me mad is that they killed subaru in the movie within five minutes i like subaru how dare they. I cant think of anything else to say lol. but I will say this the anime series and manga are awesome very well done.

But in the movie they had his fight with Seichiro first.

Izu_Reia But in the movie they had his fight with Seichiro first. So does the manga. Clamp had Subaru fought with Seishirou for his wish, but Seishirou let him go. So all we know in the manga is Subaru's a traitor to Seals and still alive. However, I believe that Subaru is dead inside himself since a) Seishirou is dead, b) his wish is not granted, and c) he had no one to protect, thus his kekkai is broken and no reason for him to stay with the Seals since he isn't interesting about the world. So I guess you could say that Subaru is now an empty shell or a shadow left behind.
