Well, the title is self explanatory however, I'll elaborate because...I can?
I'd like to discuss this rather classic form of entertainment...from the big props, to the cheesy hosts, to the grinning models - everything game show.
Which shows do you love, if any? Which do you hate? Did you grow up watching any of these? with older relatives maybe? What do you think it takes to make a hit game show? How is it that some of them never seem to die? *coughBobBarkercough* What are your favorite and least favorite things about game shows? If you could go on any game show you wanted, which would you choose and why? Would you make a "shout out" too? or maybe wear a big shirt with your name on it and when the camera pans by, jump up and down and hope someone at home will see you? Anything else related can be discussed as well.

To me gameshows aren't really a must watch kind of thing. They are more the kind of thing I'll watch while I'm eating or if I just sit down and nothing seems to be on. Ones I've been known to watch are family feud, wheel of fortune, deal or no deal, and the price is right. Quite often I don't even stay through the whole show though. The yreally are just time wasters for me.

Alarias So, I guess you wouldn't want to go on a game show then? lol I'd want to go for the chance to win something, but I wouldn't care about being on the show itself. I think very few people would ay they wouldn't want the chance to win something if it didn't cost them anything, but that doesn't mean they care about the shows giving it them them. : )

At least Mr Barker finally retired last year.
I always loved Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud.
I'd like to go on some game shows... Like... Jeopardy or Wheel of fortune... Maybe the Price is right... But not those game shows where something awful happens if you get something wrong... Like getting slimed, or dunked in water or a pie in the face... I watched a lot of game shows in my day >.>; I know how trixy they can be...

Those game shows on Nick used to do that sort of stuff a lot...it looked so...uncomfortable and..icky.

mangacatgirl What's wrong with Drew Carey? I don't particularly have anything against him or his comedy. I just don't find him to be a very good host. He isn't engaging enough or something. Bores me where other hosts don't.

Well, I like the Drew Carey show...but, he's just...sorta...not my cup of tea really. Like if you ever watch Whose Line is it Anyways? (American version) you can see that he's nowhere near as funny as the other people on that show and he just comes off as a bit...lame to me sweatdrop and I just can't imagine he'd have hosted any other show better than he did on Whose Line...so...yeah
Maybe he writes funny jokes but, I don't care for his...delivery of them I guess.

But I love Who's line is it anyway (both versions) T.T He's just the host though, he's not really supposed to be hogging the spotlight or doing the routines... That's the other guys' jobs ^.^;
Oh well, I guess I just don't know 'funny'... Like I love Will Ferrel, but people constantly tell me he isn't funny... o.o;
I feel dumb! gonk *dies*
