Do you have a place where you discuss and recomend books that you find interesting? I'm running out of books to read. I don't know which books are interesting and which are not. There are too many books in this world.

Hm. Have you read the Kiesha'ra series? Those are good books. I've only read the first two in the series though, and I don't know what length of books you like. Let's see, I think they're by Amelia Atwater Rhodes. I'm probably mispelling her name, I know.

The other books in the series aren't as good in my opinion, sadly. I've now read three out of the five. Not sure I want to read the rest.

Although I love the plot, I don't think the writing style is that good. But I really enjoyed the book. I have just finish reading the third book also. Its not bad, as the story is now expanding and getting more interesting. The falcon and the serpiente! I really wonder what will happen to Olivia. Will she choose a mate? o_O? ~Foxie

I wouldn't know. Everything I've learned about the other books is from reading the summaries of stories on FF.net. I know that the fifth book is from Hai's point of view, and I'm not sure what to think of her yet. And I think I know what Oliza does (to a very small extent), but I won't say just in case you don't want to know. I feel bad for the Avians. They were created for the sole use of being the falcon's pawns.

I know what you mean. I hope the war doesn't start again.
Seems like I have taken a liking to Hai. I think book 5 would be interesting. I'll try to find book 4 and 5. Somehow I couldn't find book 4. So depressing....
Oh! What other books do you like? I want to read more~~~ heart ~Foxie

Personally, I can hardly get myself to read a book that's more than an inch thick sweatdrop , so I don't do too much reading. But I also like Dragon's Bait by Vivian Vande Velde. I thought that one was fun. I also read these other books a long time ago (as in about 5-7 years) that I liked. But I don't know if you'd even be able to find those.
I'll see what else I can find in my room (which is a terrible mess).

I'm a huge Vivan Vande Velde fan! if you liked that you should read her other books Heir Apparent, User Unfriendly, A Hidden MagicSome other good books are: Sword of the Rightful King by Jane Yolen - if you like new and interesting takes on the Authurian tale, this is really, really good. And it ends on a much better note than most. The Dreaming Place by Charles De Lint Deltora Quest by Emily Rhodda-- This is one of the best youngfantasy series I have ever read. They are actually making it into an anime series - which I find to be really cool. The Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz(spelling?)-- if you like action and spy novels, this is a great series. A teenager literally jumps into the world of the MI6 and spys after his Uncle dies and he wants to get some answers. Each novel brings something different and new that it just makes reading them better. - and since he is a teenager, the author is actually realistic when it comes to the fight scenes and what he is able to do - which a lot of novels & writers tend not to do.

anything by Charles De Lint is good reading.
I have recently begun to dive into classic and stories like The Time Machine, Pride and Prejudice, Tale of Two Cities, 1984 (love it!!), and just recently - Dr. Jekle and Mr. Hyde.
Short stories can be a great inspiration of random ideas so I would suggest finding a collection or a literature magazine or something on those lines.
My sister loves Nicholas Sparks - I can't stand him, but that isn't my genre so to each their own.

whether you are an anime fan or not, go to the graphic novel section and pick up the NOVEL - "Socrates in Love" - truly a remarkable story.
sci-fi/fantasy readers should check these out:
Hexwood by Diana Wynne Jones and Finder by Emma Bull (LOVE THIS!) though I should prepare you, it may break your heart at one point. But even that fits to the story and it is just great. It has a little adult content so it is PG13 (and surprisingly says that on the back cover) My friend gave this to me as a gift awhile back and I finished it last year - and in reorganizing my bookshelf I came across it again, re-read it and am just itching to find some fanfiction worth it. (so slightly a selfish reason for recommending it. XD lol.)
this is the summary from the back: Welcome to Boardertown. A hybrid community of misfits, oddballs, and runaways. Where humans, elves, and halflings co-exist. Where magic and the brutal realities of survival clash and mix. For Orient and Tick-Tick...it's just a home. Orient is a finder. A finder of lost things. His gift will come in handy. Human kids seeking wild thrills in Nevernever-mostly restricted to elves-are being lured into taking a new drug that morphs them into Truebloods. Except this is a one-way trip. The drug kills everyone who takes it. It's up to Orient to find the killer.

Whoa! That sounds very interesting. I'll go to MPH to read it as soon as I can find free time.
