 [the culprit of my actions] xarre [so uh... right. my name's] Adelaide || Marie || Burkley [but, really, just call me] Alice. [don't you DARE call me] Adelaide, Addie, Aly, Als, Burkley, Burks, Marie, RED, or anything that’s not Alice. [people say] Stuck-up, irritatingly impatient, insensitive, dual-personality, loud, oblivious, flighty, obnoxious, temperamental [but i stick with] outgoing, lively, a little rusty around the edges, confused, witty, individual, and independent [my gender is] My name's Alice, what do you think? [i'm like a magnet for those] silly boys [that stupid talking hat sorted me in] Gryffindor, but it mentioned Slytherin. How... disturbing.[happy spring birthday] May 22nd [the worlds above us say] Gemini, but on the cusp of Taurus [currently, i am] 15 years old [if you're smart enough, you'll figure out that i'm a] 5th year. So don't screw around with me, 1st years. [my gaurdian is] Nana Burkley so that makes me a] freak? Like I know my blood. (Pure) [my magical stick is] 12 [inches long, and is made of] Hawthorn [wood, with a core of a] Romanian Longhorn Heart String [the darkness is back, so i conjure up a] Lynx[the lazy royalty]large Himilayan Brown-point [he goes by the name of] Dragon [i'm not into sports, but] If I really put in the effort and got into Quidditch, I might actually enjoy playing. But it's not one of my main interests. I'll support my team, though! GO GRYFFINDOR!  [the redheaded goddess] Short and surprisingly slender, this feisty witch has hair to match the personality, being a dark crimson color, along with highlights of orange and yellow thrown in there. Yes, it is unnatural and dyed. Her original hair color is a ginger red, but she thought it didn‘t suit her, and wanted something different and outrageous. In addition, Alice, in order to maintain her wildly curly hair, has to use her magic to straighten her hair and give it that punk-ish look. Which in this case, short, to the collar bone, and layered really choppy. Curly hair is NOT her style. Sky blue is the hue of her bright, round eyes, which are almost always surrounded by black eyeliner, bringing the colour out even more. Her skin is a pale-ish color, making her strikingly unique, compared to the bright colors of her other features. Alice possesses a heart-shaped face, wavy, amazingly pink lips, and an almost bizarrely pointy nose, about standard size for a human being. Her cheeks are averagely round, which are usually a pale shade of pink, thanks to a masking utensil called ‘blush’. Long black lashes encircle her eyes, along with thin, sleek eyebrows that are sometimes up in a cocked manner. She reveals two straight rows of partially white teeth (who’s teeth is completely white?) whenever she pulled back those luscious wavy lips, the two front teeth being a little bit larger than the rest. It is actually quite a huge smile for someone so stubborn and at fault. This redhead stands a mere 5 foot 3 inches tall, and wearing a size three in jeans, and has an common developed chest, nothing too outlandish. Her arms and legs are quite lean, along with her naturally tiny waist. She’s been told that her butt is equally as bony, as well, much to her misfortune.
Alice’s nails are usually a dark color, like a deep shade of red, matching her hair, or just black. Once in a while, when she becomes bored (which tends to happen a lot) she’ll do something crazy with them, like put stripes and polka-dots. . Her fingers are long, usually accessorized with a few rings, usually ones of the dark kind, or with peculiar colors and shapes. As for jewelry around her neck, she frequently wears necklaces that are long, so that she can layer them, or maybe a choker. Once in a while, she may show off a cute cat collar, bell and all. On her wrists, she wears complimentary wrist bands for her outfits, and also loads of plastic bands that are multi-colored, looking as if a rainbow had exploded on her arms. As for her wardrobe, Alice wears comfortably tight jeans and relaxed shirts that fit nicely, and are not constricting, no matter what time of the year it is. She doesn’t mind baking in the heat in jeans. She also enjoys wearing her black white-polka-dotted sweater, where the sleeves go past her knuckles, just the way she likes them. Stripes, polka-dots, and other funky simple designs are seen in her clothing. She refuses to wear a skirt, unless it is the school uniform, or desperately adorable to her liking. Bow and butterfly clips are always welcomed in her colorful hair. And thick-rimmed, fake glasses are always a regular fashion accessory.
One thing that she keeps with her at all times is her black trendy, side-sling bag, with loads of buttons that say funny, cruel, random, or just plain freaky things. Wanna buy her a gift? Buy her a button. [it'll end happy... hopefully] [currently editing] Born in the begining of Summer, Alice was not always “Adelaide Marie Burkley”. In fact, she didn’t even know who she was when she was abandoned in Dublin, Ireland. Cold, hungry, and miserable, young ‘Alice’ wandered the streets, being denied of help for a short amount of time, way back when she could remember. Her memories were apparently whiped clear away since she was four, the last memory she had was the face of someone in between young and old, and a bright flash. Being homeless and that young, the outside world was terrifying, and practically scarred the poor girl to death. Eventually, however, she was found by an Ireland orphanage that took her in and raised her for a 2 years, giving her the name ‘Adelaide‘. Adelaide was never a big hit with the other children, always playing alone. The other children thought she was a bit peculiar, since odd things, such as random items blowing up, or things disappearing around her. They always stayed away from her, no matter how much the poor, small girl would be a kind friend. Thus, resulting to her despicable attitude, thinking that every child around her age was like that.
One day, in the summer, Alice (deciding she liked the name ’Alice’ better than the one they gave her. It was close enough) was adopted to a middle-aged woman, who found her personality quite amusing, and saw something deep within her that was spectacular. The woman, whom the tiny redhead had began to call ’Nana’, was from London, England, which was now where she was to call her new home and city. Nana Burkley lived in a large, brick home on a vacant street, where large, tall trees grew, and brilliant flowers, all variety with color, and brilliant green grass were everywhere to be seen. It was a young child’s play-paradise.
 Alice grew bored without anyone to play with, and questioned Nana Burkley about if there was anyone else to have fun with on the street. She mentioned something about another family, who’s name was the Larks, a wealthy, proper family, with a young son around her age. However, Nana told Alice that she shouldn’t get involved with their child, and just stay clear away from their home. Alice was furious, knowing well that there was someone she could interact with around the place, but was forced to stay away. However, while she was toruring some poor bugs on the side of the dirt road, a young, whistling boy came strolling around from down the street. His hair was a wispy silver. They instantaneously introduced each other, and eventually became the best of friends, playing together almost everyday, despite how much her Nana disapproved. However, Alice had always thought that Rain was something special, almost like herself. The silver hair was definitely unnatural for a normal human being, and whenever it seemed that he would trip and fall, or get hurt, something erratically supernaturally would happen. He’s always end up clean, with no scraps, scratches, or bruises. It was odd.
Around the age of 7, a new little boy came to Cherry Wood street, with wild curly hair. His name was hard for little Alice to remember, so she often just called him Fig, which was a new nickname that her, and also Rain, had called him, and it sticked. It seemed that the small boy was a favorite target for the bullies at the park, so she had to be the macho heroine, and save him. She seemed to get into much trouble, however, being such a tiny girl, but with a big heart, trying to save her friend. Rain would often have to help her protect Fig, much to Alice’s dismay.
By the age of 10, Alice had become one of those kinds of children who thought too much, asking millions of questions that didn’t make sense to those who listened, but made absolute perfect sense to her small mind. She would often question Nana Burkley about why Rain had left at the end of August, and not able to play with her. Nana would always ignore the question, and change the subject.
Alice was estatic when Rain came back from wherever he was in the middle of June, just after her 11th birthday, but the silver-haired boy had changed. Drastically. She noticed that his luminous green eyes had lost a bit of light, and weren’t quite as cheerful as before his presence had left on Cherry Wood Street. But he greatly welcomed the heartfelt embrace that Alice gave him, which was followed after Fig’s hug. His demeanor had lightened up slightly after a week, she saw, but was still dampened. Where had be been? She had always wondered, and that’s when she asked about it. He made sure that Fig was home, and that the two were alone, before he began his tale of a place called ‘Hogwarts’, magic, and other sorts.  Alice cackled at his stories, thinking it was pretty uncanny, and thanked him for the exciting story that she knew was untrue and illogical. He just gave her a stern look, and said something about ‘You’d be surprised at how real it is’, when they said their goodbyes, and went back to their warm homes. Alice, although she didn’t believe in it, had Rain’s bizarre tale stuck in her head, and couldn’t take her mind off of it for the longest time.
It was the middle of July, the air hot and dry, and the sun setting when a strange letter arrived through the mail hole in the door. The addressee’s name was “Hogwarts’. Alice had thought that that the envelope had been Rain’s doing, just to amuse himself, trying to make her actually believe such a weird world could even exist. But, just for her laughter, she opened up the envelope.
Although she hadn’t accepted that magical world Rain had enlightened her with true, Nana had sat down with Alice, telling her about the letter for almost the whole night, and about the wonderful world that she was going to be introduced to. The strange fact was, was that Nana had actually been part of that world, but was not a witch. Her mother and father had been part of the magical community, and so was her older brother, but she had the distressing fate of becoming a squib, and not a witch, like her mother.
Alice had gone to Diagon Alley with her squib guardian, inviting Rain with her, and got her wand from the famous Ollivander’s, along with a nice little kitten that was a gift from her Nana. She attended to the train station for the first time with Rain, him going to his second year, and her going to her first year. The redhead was sorted in by the hat into Gryfindor, although he had his thoughts about whether or not to place her in Slytherin. The only thing that had upset her about going to Hogwarts was that Rain had been sorted into Slytherin the year before, which now explained why he was so distorted when he came back from the beautiful castle.
After two years at school, Alice got the pleasant surprise that Fig was in fact also a wizard, and congratulated him on joining Rain and herself on their journey in the magical world.
Alice is now entering her 5th year, exited about being able to apparate and learn new hexes and jinxes she can use against enemies. [read it. memorize it. eat it.] Alice is one of those people who… tend to get in trouble a lot, causing chaos is peaceful areas, and making mischief in every room she steps her tiny little body in. She tells a lot of people off, but unfortunately, if they get into a fist fight, which she prefers more than magic, there is a high chance she’ll loose, because of her small build, and weak limbs. She’d like to think she was brawny. Strongly independent and self-governing, she’ll always shrug off anyone who’ll try to help her get out of sticky situations that could get her in dilemmas.  Thus, why she has a strong dislike for Rain Larks, who’s always getting her out of fist or magical fights just for the sake of her not getting hurt, but she never says thank you, no matter how bad she was getting herself into, and just thinks of him as an annoyance. Curious and witty, Alice likes to stick her nose into other people’s business, and make remarks that could hurt, no matter how much they’ll hate her afterward. It’s not her fault she can be sometimes brutally honest. However, if someone’s in a situation she’s been in, she completely sympathizes them, and understands how they feel. Though, she’s not the most compassionate person, thinking that the world could go on without the whiney pansies (Fig is an exception). One of her favorite sayings is “Build a bridge, and get over it”.
Although she seems like a snobby, stuck-up person, she feels in actual fact real deep, and has emotions that run wild all the time. She’s often seen as “moody” or has a “dual personality”. Hey, she’s a Gemini, what can she do? She’ll only blush around Rain, who seems to have a real hit on her, despite how much she tells herself how much she hates him. In truth, she has these special feelings for him, even more than a best friend, but her pride’s keeping her from telling him how much he means to her. Thus, resulting in the shoving-him-off routine. But when the time is right, she’ll defend him also, along with Fig. They are her best friends, and if anyone messes with them, their going to have to talk to Alice.
Alice usually gets more along with the boys, (hence her friendship with two of the male species), seeming that girls are too emotional and boy-crazy for her liking. Mushy feelings of being smuthered turn her off, but only when she does not wish for it (try figuring out when she does).
Another rather unique thing is that whenever Alice is in a good mood, which can be surprisingly often if everything is going her way, the little red head can be quite the bubbly character, jumping around like a child on a sugar-high. It's all fun and games, unless there's a sudden twist in the plot, and everything falls into a bad position that isn't in her favor. Her emotions can go up and down, such as a rollercoaster, climbing up to one emotions, and the falling as quick as a dead bird to the next. [love 'em] My adopted brother, Fig. Sigh...Rain, I suppose. Matthias and Aidan. MUSIC. Dragons. Picking up fights. Blood-pops. Buttons to put on my bag. Making fun of people. Ghosts. Scaring myself by stories or movies. Doodling on my Charms work. Hogsmeade trips. Magical history (the exciting stuff, like battles with gore). M&Ms. Meat and junk foods. Muggle sports cars. Anyone who doesn't piss me off. [gag me] Rain. Anyone that messes with Fig. Not winning an argument. Most Slytherins. Charms homework. Tea. Healthy foods (like vegetables). Anyone who pisses me off. Kamille Sirianni and Annibelle Massey. [and this is pretty much it] I tend to have these wild dreams where I'm speaking Russian to these people I don't know, and I perfectly understand them. And also, I have this strange fear of not drinking beverages that are offered to me, no matter who it is (Even if it's Fig or Rain). Sometimes people call me "emotionally unstable", because of my errotic sobbing, at the most random times. Don't ask my why. I'm not so sure of it myself.

What I think of Alice: Fig believes that Alice is his older sister that wasn't born from the same mother, and looks nothing like him. But that's okay. Fig thinks Alice is really beautiful, but not in a "I want to be with you" way. He thinks of it like a friend, and actually wants to keep it that way. She's way to old and cynical for him!

I want this to happen: Fig'll be her medicine when she gets upset at Rain, or when she's down. Also, he'll be a tremendous help to Alice when she's having trouble with charms.

Our history: Alice and Leigh have known each other for, what, 3 years now? The two become better friends with each passing year. Leigh has never disliked Alice, really, but the whole "I cannot stand healthy food" thing... well, that would be the only reason they may ever get into an argument. Other than that, Leigh and Alice usually have a good time together.

What I think of Alice: "Alice? Wow, she's outgoing, spunky and super adorable and funny. I only talk to her on rare occassions because we don't have much in common. Except for we get annoyed with Rain a lot...for very different reasons. She's kind of cute, if she were to ask i'd go out with her."
Our history: They've talked a few times. Mostly it's Alice approaching Masika about her great dislike for Rain. It's usually ended up in laughter and they're pretty okay friends.
I want this to happen: Masika will probably just be someone who stumbles dumbly upon things going on, whether it's making out in the hallways or crying in the courtyard or whatever. She'll be a good friend and keep the secrets she's told. Maybe some fighting too. About Masika's hating on Rain a little too much.

I don't know, I might date her, but if things between me and Rain don't work out? ...well...I mean...they're like real good friends and...I don't know I might not be able to deal with it...but I might ask her out or something...just to see what it's like. But sometimes that Alice girl just gets on my last nerve, I'll be trying to flirt with Rain and then she'll butt in with that huge butt of hers...who knows?"
Our history: They talk...once in a while. He's sometimes had to put up with her a lot more than he should.

Our relationship: What I think of Alice: "Ugh. Honestly. I know who she is, surprising enough; who DOESN'T? It's like she's a magnet for trouble... and boys. The attentions ALLLways on her, no matter where she goes. ... Am I jealous? No... of course not. But she irritates me. Fidelious Violino has mentioned her more than enough times in classes, and frankly, all the crap she does is more then needed to decide that I don't like her."
Our history: Oh, the evil glares in the halls, and rumors spread all around the Ravenclaw common room. Fig talks from time to time about her in combined Ravenclaw/Gryffindor classes.
I want this to happen: Mehh, if Fig becomes friends with Alanis (though, I doubt it), Alanis may change her mind about her, she may not.
The name's: Myranda Prudence Halliwell

Our relationship: : DD slight What I think of Alice: "Teehee, Alice! She has so much spirit, it illuminates off of her! When she steps in a room, she glows... and it's not just from that red hair of hers. She has a spit-fire personality, which is wicked, just a little bit annoying, though."
Our history: Myranda had tripped and fell flat on her face while heading back up to the castle for her next class coming from CoMC while Alice had been passing by. Well... Alice was feeling generous, though she was snickering the whole time, and helped Myranda up from the ground. Unfortunately, her glasses had broken in the process of the fall, and fixed them for her, even though Myranda already knew how. They eventually became friends, though Alice may not feel as close to Myranda as she feels to her.
I want this to happen: Nah, just some "'ello!"s from Myranda. Casual talk.

Our history: They've talked every once in a while but with the house and age difference they haven't had the chance to become friends.
I want this to happen: If Alice doesn't have anybody to turn to then she could always go to Mac, who will be willing to listen. Other than that, talking to get to know each other better.

She's like the light in my dark. Adelaide (yes, I'm using her real name) has always been my light. When we were kids, she'd always make me feel happy whenever I was with her... when she smiles, I can't help but to smile, also. And everything she does, I love, even if it's kicking me around like a helpless slave. I can't help but to follow her around like a love-sick puppy (as pathetic as that sounds). Someday she'll realize that I'll always be there for her, no matter what trouble causes her. Lover or just a friend, it doesn't matter. I'll ALWAYS be there for Alice. Whether that cynical pessimist likes it or not. I'll always love her."

What I think of Alice: "Alice? Oh well she seems really nice, the one thing I like about her is that she's really feisty for being so small and seems to always be there for her friends. Which I see as a great trait. We don't reall talk much, it seems as though she doesn't like Slytherins that much...or does she just not like me? Well I hope it's not the latter...."
Our history: They might have talked to each other two or three times and even slightly joked around a bit.
I want this to happen: Well since they've only talked a little bit Melanie hopes they can become okay friends.

Our relationship: What I think of Alice: "Sigh. She's that Gryffindor redhead that Rain talks about, isn't she? Not that he talks about her to me, thank heavens. I don't want to know any more about her than I already know. Those looks she gives me in the halls are aggravating enough."
Our history: He's seen her with Fig and Rain more than once, and he's heard some things about her indirectly. He'd never admit it, but he admires some of the messes she's made and is under the opinion that if Rain let her loose, he might actually be entertained for a few minutes.
I want this to happen: Yes. Some poking fun on Alice's part would be most amusing. x3

Our relationship: : D/DD (can be argued) && What I think of Alice: "She's so close to Rain... it really p!ss3s me off, I'll admit that... I don't get why, though. I mean, sure they've known each other for years and that stuff, but still! SHE'S A GRIFFY! And she seems a little strange... but I'll do what I have to... she may end up a good tool for me. And Rain likes her, so I have no choice but to see how things go. She's not goign to get him. "
Our history: Though she knew Rain, she didn't know his little friend. Once she'd come into the picture, she couldn't help but feel a burst of eruption within her, for loosing Rain to this red headed gryffindor. Just as her goal for her brother was set into place, so was her goal to destroy Alice (bascially, it's Snow's position XD)
I want this to happen: Is that the chant of 'fight' i hear? (: But also, she may suddenly start becoming 'close' to Alice only to throw her off the roof, if you know what I mean. But that may make Rain mad... hm. I dunno yet. Something along those lines?

Our relationship: What I think of Alice: "Alice is...what is there to say? She's loud, obnoxious, annoying, rude, disgusting, hyper, and I think I'm completely in love with her. It's weird. I mean, I've been in love before, I think, but nothing like the way Alice makes me feel. I want to hate me. Every cell of my being wants to hate her. But there's something about her that...well I want it."
Our history: Basically, they've been mortal enemies ever since they met in Alice's 1st year. They were introduced through Rain, who regretted it later. But, there've been a few...incidents lately that suggest that maybe she's starting to feel something for him, too.
