The year is 2008 and throughout the ages, Humans have come up with stories about creatures who appear Human, but are actually extremely different. They had told of humanoid people who were very tall, elegant, and attrative with long-thin-pointed ears, creatures that sucked blood and were very dark-yet looked dead though very much alive- Humans who shifted to wolves in moonlight, creatures that had wings like some sort of bug, but, above all, the Humans had mentioned creatures of magestic base and long beautiful feathered wings and their worst enemies that were usually extremely disturbing in sight that created and fed off of fear. Of course, these creatures weren't real and only existed in fantasies. Or was that really the truth?
Above in the sky, where Humans couldn't reach, a giant floating island with a giant city atop had been up in the atmosphere long before the Humans had ever come into existance. The isle was afloat due to the strong forces of magic and the extremely light weight. This place looked like it's own world all together-with each terrain in existance, a giant lake, even a large mountain. In this city-with a large population-no Humans were to be found on the streets or in the buildings. Here, only the creatures of Human imagination existed. Having absolutely no clue that this place was about, Humans had no way of getting to it.
One day, three Human friends were on a joy ride in a hot air balloon. A giant gust of wind came and ripped a large portion of the balloon, causing the three to hurtle to the ground. Somehow, they ended up unconscious. When they woke up, they found themselves unscathed on the shores of a large lake without a clue or memory of what happened.
You can have up to 4 characters, don't go over, please, it tends to get confusing.

Nikkia woke up, feeling water lap at her fingers. She opened her eyes and looked around, quickly sitting up. Is this a dream? I thought for sure that we were gone for good... Wait.. Katie... Dugan! She looked around frantically trying to find her friends, laying eyes on Katie who wasn't too far off, still unconscious.

"Hey! You're awake!" Dugan chirped happily as he noticed one of his friends awake. Standing, he stumbled over to her. He'd been awake for a few minutes now, just trying to swallow the feeling of nearly having been beaten to a pulp. A feeling he knew all too well from his days in high school.

Nikkia quickly looked over to Dugan, sending a rush of blood to her head, which only made her have a head ache, causing her to feel even more light-headed. "Dugan... what happened? Is Katie alright? Where are we?" she asked, opening her eyes again from the pain she had just felt.

"We crashed. I don't know, she's still out and... I have no idea where we are..." He replied, flopping down to sit beside her, rather ungracefully. He shook his head to clear the foggyness from his eyes and blinked.
"Damn... one of my contacts came out..." And with that, he removed the other one and pocketed it before pulling out a pair of transition glasses that were amazingly unharmed.

Nikkia laid back down, relaxing. She glanced back over at Katie, then looked up at Dugan. "Do you think she'll be alright?" she asked, obviously worried. Katie was like a sister to her, Dugan like a brother. She had known them since about the sixth grade, and they had been friends since.

Dugan sighed. "After all the fights she's stepped in to save my a**? She'll be fine. A little awkward on her feet maybe, but she'll come around." He said after a moment's thought.
A crack was suddenly heard as a figure fell from a nearby tree, face planting it rather ungracfully on his face. Red hair splayed out around his face, concealing blue eyes as he sat up and grumbled in some foreign language. He stopped and blinked when he noticed the two sitting by the lake.
"Uh-oh..." was all he said, in clear((what ever language these guys speak))

(We'll say that the Humans speak English and most of the people in the sky speak both English and Elven ^-^ makes things easy.)
Nikkia jumped, hiding with Dugan as her shield. She looked at the new figure, shivering slightly. She was the soft type, easily frightened, and looked back over at Katie to see a man with long blue hair and gold eyes kneeling down. Automatically, she freaked. "Get away from her!" she yelled, getting to her knees, ready to rush at the being who simply looked at her with a calm shimmer in his eyes and a soft smile spreading across his face.
"Don't worry, milady, she's in good hands," he said softly, glancing at her, studying for a second, then looking at Dugan, quickly shifting his eyes to Katie.

"Kalice! What the hell are they!?" Keiji squawked in elvish, jumping up and slinking over to the four, his movements suddenly fluid and almost seductive. Dugan twitched, bothered by the fact that the red head reminded him of a demon while the other... he didn't want to think about it. He just remained silent and set a calming hand on Nikkia's shoulder.

Nikkia sighed and tried to relax, as much was possible with this man holding her friend up. She glanced at Dugan, pleaded silently with her eyes for him to do something, but looked back at the two who were obviously there to help them, yet both felt so dark.
Kalice looked at Keiji, keeping that calm look in his eyes. "Settle down, friend. You don't need to worry about them. They're Humans, if you even know what that is," he said, speaking Elvish as well. "They came here on accident."

"Huh... so that's what a human looks like. Kind of like a deformed Elf..." He muttered, suddenly bored. Slinking his way over to the two, Keiji was immediately looking them both over for wounds.
In seconds Dugan was up, fist aimed at the other's jaw. It was easily caught by a rather delicate hand, black nails digging slightly into his flesh.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you..." Keiji said, with a slight tsk before hand. this time he spoke English, smirking slightly.
