Long ago, humans and faeries lived together in the same planes and co-existed peacefully. Some humans even worshiped the fae for their good luck, art of warfare and their mystical ways of magic.
The area used to be a lush green forest but it was attacked by Ogres allied with Duergars (Dark Dwarves); ransacking and stealing supplies and seeing both lowly humans and Fae working together. The small village turned into ruins and all is left is the temple, which surprisingly, it has not been torn down at all. Perhaps time was forgiving or the fae's powers were very strong, enough to keep the temple safe until the raiding stopped.
Most of the humans and fae lost their lives, and those remaining had sadly chose to separate for their sakes.
On some occasions, different colors of glowing orbs float through about the area specifically the temple itself. Maybe some fae stayed and continues to protect their precious homeland...

"I've been looking all over for this place... Mum believes some fae still exist even today..." Aeri runs to the ruins excitedly and prepares her sketchbook ready to draw the landscapes and scenery.

*A Cloaked figure is walking aimlessly amoung the ruins, for what purpose, not even he knows, he just continues to walk aimlessly, without purpose or meaning*

As she looks up at the ruins again while drawing, she sees a figure walking around the temple, "...? What is that...? I thought this place was completely empty... Oh! Maybe it's a Fae!!" Out of curiosity, she jumps up and quietly approaches the figure trying not to startle whatever that may be, "Maybe I could befriend one and even summon it...!!"

"Huh...? It's a person..." Aeri slowly walks up to him and taps him on his shoulder, "Are you okay...?? You look lost..." She waits for the man to reply.

"Oh...! My name is Aeri... What's yours?" She notices how physically weak he is, "You don't look so good... Here, I have some rations and water! Come with me!" She gently grabs his hand and tries to pull him carefully to where her belongings are.

She turns to look at him and asks, "I'm not hurting you, am I...?? Let me know if I'm doing something wrong!" She gives him a bright and kind grin and continues to gently pull him to where her supplies are.
Aeri pulls out a gourde of water and some dried meat to offer to him, "Here! It isn't much, but it's all I have to offer... I'm a traveler and I haven't found a place to stay or even a job..." Despite her situation, she still manages to give him a smile.

She blinks and looks at the dried meat, "You don't like it...? At least drink some water..." She extends the gourde of water out to him, "Here, if you don't drink some water, your body will weaken even more..." Growing more concerned by the minute, Aeri begins to get a little nervous and more drastic.

("What should I do...? He's not even acknowledging me offering him water... Is he so weak that he can't even swallow...? Maybe I could take a look at his body but...") Aeri hesitates to ask but quickly blurs it all out, "L-let me examine your b-body...!! Maybe I can figure out what's wrong with you..." She blushes slightly and curses herself for saying such a thing regardless of wanting to help the man.
