After seeing the second TV trailer, (first movie teaser re-done) i thought of a pretty fun thread where we post out own thoughts on any part of the movie plotline. This isn't meant to be taken seriously because i'm going to post up a few joke ones in responces but I thought it'd be interesting to hear others thoughts on this.
((I'll post mine up when I get my thoughts together but mine is on the beginning))

THis is only my first thoughts. Later on ill probably post something more detailed.
Remember this is jsut meant to be taken as a thought and not serious.
(This would be after that thing that says the video was found in Central Park)
The movie will open with probably Jason, Hud, Beth and the other main ppl setting up for Robs going away party (Jason or Beth is probably recording.). He’s at a business meeting and was planned that he gets picked up by Jamie who they assume would tell him about the party (explains why he‘s not shocked) and also rave and rant about Teddy being an a*****e to her. The group laugh and joke as they put the party together and Jamie calls saying that he’s coming up but she’s not going in (explains why she‘s not in the trailer and also why Rob walks in alone.) Viola, the first trailer and the 4 minute clip play out.
After the shop bursts in everyone panics and they find a door in the back of the shop. They run through it and look around at all of the crashed buildings and they get re-united with Beth, Marlene, Hawk and the others after being split up (After the scene from the second trailer where Rob was on the phone asking where Beth was). After the seven get back together Marlene was acting sick, saying that she breathed in some of the “debris” left behind by the monster, they take her to the army group who say she’s infected. Then a Chest-buster like affect happens to Marlene and the smaller monster comes out, killing most of the people thought to be safe.
The remaining group and some army personnel escape and find all of the infected people dead and the parasite creatures roaming around. There are a group of people ready to go route by ferry to leave the city while Rob and his friends think to take the Sewers. As the ferry leaves the monster demolishes it and you see the whole guy through the camera. The group runs into the sewers and walks down there when they hear the parasites and find their nesting grounds. One wakes up and alarms the others. The smaller monsters then chase after the group who runs.
One by one in different ways the group gets picked off until it’s just Rob and Beth. Rob makes his speech to the camera (at the beginning of the second trailer) and gives Beth a final kiss goodbye as they both die under that small bridge thing.

I'll put it in a summary.
When they have Rob's party. . .you know what happens "I saw it i's alive it's huge!" Then while most people are going "WHAT IS THAT?!!" or OH MY GOD! ON MY GOD!!!"(my favorite part so far) ^_^ The 'smart ones' hide in the market. Then another part where Rob's friend tells him that whatever is attacking the city is alive.
That leads me to think that he was working for Slusho or Tagrato. And Rob was either hired or promoted and is now being sent to Japan.

MySpace Update - Slusho Hires Rob
Rob updated his MySpace page. He has been offered a job at Slusho!:

So I got a job offer, and it's everything I wanted. More money, more power, more creative freedom. I'd even have up to five people working under me, and you know how much I've always wanted underlings. One catch -- I need to move to freakin' JAPAN! The job is the V.P. of Marketing and Promotions for SLUSHO! brand "happy drink." Apparently it's all the rage in Asia. Hud would love it. They want us to come up with a more accessible angle to hook an American audience.
When I said I'd be willing to leave NYC for the new gig, I was thinking maybe Chicago or Toronto, maybe L.A. Japan is a whole other extreme. I'm not a particularly worldly fellow, and I'd definitely be in store for some major culture shock. But you know what? Maybe this is exactly the jolt my lame little life needs. A fresh start, and all the clichés that go with it. I'm cautiously psyched. I told them I needed the weekend to think it over, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna take it. I mean, I can't think of a good enough reason not to.
I can. I think we all new this was coming, and it explains why Hawk us wearing a Slusho t-shirt on the night of the party. Here are the comments from his friends:
Hawk - My Japanese friend Kuroki paid me off in Slusho once to settle a bet. That s**t is delicious. I’ve been craving more ever since I tried it. Your job will be a piece of cake, Slusho sells itself. Please tell me you get a free lifetime supply or something.
Rob Hawkins - They gave me some t-shirts at the interview, you want one?
HUD - Dude I just googled Slusho, did you know they are a subsidiary of some evil oil company called Tagruato? We both know how much you hate oil (you always say “no oil” when you order a hoagie), so you better turn down the job and stay here and live with me forever and ever.
LenaDia - Gay.
Lil - Rob that’s crazy! How soon would you have to leave?
Rob - A few weeks, around the middle of the month they said.
Beth - Japan!? Oh my god, Rob! Come over this weekend so we can talk about it?
One word of advice Rob - you should try to leave on the 17th wink

my theory on what the monster is is that it is a cheap ripoff of sin from final fantasy x
think about it huge sea creature big enough to rip the head off of the statue of liberty.
possible mini monsters that make clicking noises
it just makes perfect sense
what do you guys think??
