User ImageIt's such a sweet feeling
The feeling I get
Close the door, make no noise, keep it a secret
I can't help thinking
We've only just met

I can feel heartache
Comin' my way
Feels so right, the way you are
Come here and kiss me
I can't help thinking
This isn't okay

But I'm lost in you, I'm lost in you [x2]

Maybe it's easier
To close my eyes
If I can't see her ******** you up, keeping you inside
I can't help thinking
This isn't my life

I feel no sadness
When you say she cries
See the way you look at her, keeping it inside
I can't help thinking
This isn't alright

But I'm lost in you, I'm lost in you [x6]

Gryffies

Name: Glenn Yates
Year: Seventh
Relationship: Just Friends
What you think of Leigh: "Leigh is so fun to be with, I have no negative thoughts when I'm around her. I can't say much more, she's my pal, a good friend to say the least."
History, if any: Leigh was just a 2nd year when they met, he thought she was cute, but he has his mind too set on Samantha to give her too much attention or to realize she really liked him.
Plot ideas:top-secret, need-to-know basis, blah blah blah.
Leigh says: "Wow, how amazing. I'm glad to be one of the people who was friends with him before he got cute. I can't say that I dislike any of his qualities, except for the fact that he's obsessed with a girl that doesn't even like him. That just gets me so mad. I'm sure my heart will break if he falls for her trap and becomes her little play thing - there's no way she actually wants him for his mind, just his face."

Name: Adelaide (Alice) Burkley
Year: 5th year
House: Gryffindor
Relationship: : DD (or : DDD, maybe) and What you think of Leigh: "Leigh? I tend to think Leigh as a pretty cool person, with a cute personality, but her honesty can sometimes drive me crazy. It doesn't hurt my feelings, or anything. It's just a bit annoying. And how much she says she's sorry afterwards, no matter how much you say it's okay, AGH! Otherwise, I really like her... even though she's way taller than myself. And I often compliment on her adorable clothing. I wish I could pull off those shorts and mini-skirts.."
History, if any: Although Alice was heading into her 3rd year at Hogwarts, being the stubborn and proud teenager, when she met the 1st year Leigh Guidry, she found her quite a joy to be around with her quirky personality, and sense of style. Over the two years she's known her, Alice's become quite fond of the younger student, and supported her rebellious and flirtatious nature. The redhead has often teased Leigh on how much her "younger brother" likes the brunette, since the day he's mentioned Leigh to her. And, Alice, not being able to keep secrets, probably declaired it to Leigh quite a few times. The only thing they've found to have conflict with: Alice's love for meat.
Plot ideas: Alice could give advice to Leigh whenever she needs it about boys, almost being an expert at the feelings of the opposite sex, being with two male teenagers 24/7. Also, more disputes about meat. But they don't go too far. And some more macho teasing about her lil brother's crush on her!
Leigh says: "Alice is crazy, but crazy in a good way, you know what I mean? If I got into a rut, she'd be willing to lend a hand. She's fun to be with, and she rarely picks on me because of my lack of magical control. Heh.... But the only real reason I know her is because Fig's seriously like her younger brother... and it's no real secret that her younger brother likes me."

Name: Fidelious (Fig) Violino
Year: 3rd year
House: Gryffindor
Relationship: <33333 - possible future boyfriend and <333 - crush on Leigh
What you think of Leigh: "Well... I guess you can tell I really like Leigh, right? Heh... even though she is a bit taller than me (I will grow, I will grow!), it does not matter. I believe she is really gorgeous, with that pretty long hair, and her personality is cute and spontaneous, just like me! We've got a lot in common... The only problem I have with her is the way that everything seems to blow up around her. It is sort of humorous at first, but sometimes it freaks me out, like she might blow ME up, somehow... and she keeps laughing at my name!"
History, if any: Obviously they have some classes together, since they're both the same year and are in the same house. Fig's had feelings for the tall and pretty Leigh since their 1st year, having only a few flirts here and there, nothing too serious. Being there from the begining of their first year, and now going into their 3rd year, Fig has become quite fond of Leigh. Crushcrushcrush!!!
Plot ideas: Jumping to help her with her Charms homework, possibly? But flirting may get in the way of what's really important. Maybe more than just study-mates? That's what Fig's hoping for.
Leigh says: "When I get past the fact that he's shorter than me, (which I'll easily do, since I am quite tall) I'll just want to play with his hair. I think Fig - haha, sorry, I always think of Fig Newtons when I say that (do they have Fig Newtons in England?) - and I have quite a bit in common. We're both Muggle-born, seemingly dangerous, and totally cute."

Name: Oliver Wood
Year: 4th
House: Gryffindor
Relationship: <33333 and <33
What you think of Leigh: "Don't tell her I said this, but I don't think I noticed her until she made the team in her second year... But when she used the tail-end of her broom to keep that Bludger from my face... And then she simply looked at me and then just flew away.... that really got me."
History, if any: Just take his word for it when he says he didn't notice her. Until last year, he didn't notice girls at all. But this year will be their second on the team together. But that shouldn't imply anything.
Plot ideas:I have a feeling that Oliver will be accused of going easy on the cute players... yay, yelling.
Leigh says: "Oliver seems like a tough nut to crack, but once I get enough alone time with him, I think I'll be able to manage something. Haha, it sounds like I'm an FBI agent interrogating a serial killer. But Oliver just needs someone to teach him how to loosen up. Is that someone me? Who knows..."

Name: Bellacissa Love d'Mort
Year: 2nd
Relationship: : D - I'll condone you
What you think of Leigh: "I've seen her around I suppose, she's a third year isn't she, yeah, well that explains why I don't really know her doesn't it. I'm sure she's nice and all, I mean she seems to be nice to other people, and I guess if we hung out we could be (good) friends. Oh, and she's pretty =D"
History, if any: N/A
Plot ideas: If Leigh ever needs help with her homework Bellacissa could try to help, perhaps they could start to become (better) friends from there.
Leigh says: "Well, in Bellacissa's first year, she was sort of quiet and I got the idea that she wasn't too happy with herself for some reason. Over time, she loosen up a bit - something really great must've happened. Something in the family, maybe? I know they're serious pure-blood supporters... that may cause a problem between us."

Name: Bailey Ann Thompson
Year: 1st
Relationship: : D
What you think of Leigh: "Leigh seems really nice, and she's a good Quidditch player! We're lucky to have her on the team!"
History, if any: none
Plot ideas: nope...though possibly a struggle over the fantastically adorable Figgie?
Leigh says: “I’m probably just overreacting, she’s harmless. I’m sure she’s very fun. And I’m sure Fig thinks so too. Ugh, shut up, Leigh!”

User Image
Name: George Weasley
Year: 2nd
Relationship: <33, <3333, <333, and : DD
What you think of Leigh: "Leigh's really great! She's nice, and amazing at Quidditch! She's also honest, which is really great, and she's super cute!"
History, if any: Just last year seeing each other in classes
Plot ideas: perhaps george shall be stolen from bailey. for a little while, at least [:
Leigh says: "New additions to the team? Pretty impressive. I've heard of them, ran quite amok their first year. I did that... except I did that on accident."

Name: Matthias Ibn-La'Ahad
Year: 5th
Relationship: : DD-semi-friendly.
What you think of Leigh: "Leigh? Yeah, I know who you're talking about-Fig won't shutup about her. It's always 'Leigh this,' and 'then she blew off Flitwick's eyebrows!'. Yeah, I'm fine with her, I guess-but if she breaks Fig's heart, I swear, she won't walk straight for a week."
History, if any: Fig knows her. Fig talks alot. Hence, Matt knows her.
Plot ideas: Not a threat. A promise. Remember that.
Leigh says: "Well, if Oliver and Fig are both friends with him, Matt's gotta be a pretty cool guy. But it's not like I've had enough time to really get to know him."

Name: Will Raines
Year: Seventh
Relationship: : DD and some What you think of Leigh: “That girl was unbearable when she first came here. All she did was cause trouble. But after a while that I got to know her, she wasn’t as a troublemaker as I thought. Leigh’s a reasonable girl, for lack of better word. I’d like to get to know her better, though.”
History, if any: The same house as Will since his fifth year; got a bit annoyed when she came, but he’s grown to accept her through some run-ins.
Plot ideas: Hmm. Not much of anything.

Huffies

Name:Kamille Lynn Sirianni
Year:5th
Relationship: <3 : DD What you think of Leigh: "Leigh is really nice but her friends seem to hate me and she doesn't seem to mind at all it kind of hurts. "
History, if any:They were friends in Kami's first year and when she returned from france they went back to the same old relationship, only some of her gryffindor friends don't like her at all so she feels unconnected and often ignored by leigh but not that much. She does think she's very pretty.
Plot ideas:I think they should work things out in the end but for the time being Kami is very hurt and upset by the other gryffy's attitude towards her.

Name: Mac Alexanders
Year: 4th
Relationship: Right in between : D and : DD
What you think of Leigh: "Leigh is very pretty for a girl in her year. We know each other kind of well and every once in a while get in heated Quidditch discussions. Speaking of quidditch, though she may or may not know, during a Hufflepuff vs. Gryffindor match, a bludger I hit went a bit out of control and almost hit her! Luckily, she flew out of the way, or that would have left a mark..."
History, if any: A few conversations, heated discussions, and quidditch matches against each other.
Plot ideas: Continue their conversations and maybe one or the other might make a mistake in quidditch and get the other hurt? Ouch...or maybe not...
Leigh says: "When I think of Mac, my mind kinda skips over any of our friendly conversation, and I only concentrate on Mac and Oliver... weird... I am NAWT jealous, just looking out for Oliver's safety, yeah."

Name: Hollywood Randle
Year: 5th
Relationship: : D - Acquaintances
What you think of Leigh: "Third year, tends to have stuff blow up around her? Yea, I know who she is. She has a cute personality and I've heard about her from Melanie, since they both are chasers."
History, if any: Nothing, only Hollywood's seen her play quidditch before.
Plot ideas: Short conversations, maybe becoming okay friends?

Name: Mary Regina Perison
Year: 4
Relationship: : DD
What you think of Leigh: "I like Leigh. She seems like a pretty cool person. She's also pretty okay friends with Oliver who has been really helpful with Quidditch. She's nice, brutally honest, but...nice."
History, if any: a few conversations.
Plot ideas: Better friends, I guess. :]

Name: Eleanor Ly Davis
Year: 6th
Relationship: biggrin DD
What you think of Leigh: "Leigh's a really sweet girl, and a true friend until the end. I don't know her as well as I should like to, but we do get along quite well, and talk every once in a while."
History, if any: just talking and being in the same house together.
Plot ideas: becoming better friends and maybe Eleanor could help Leigh out with homework or something
Leigh says: “Oh, she’s always really nice to me, I like her. I don’t really get to hang out with Eleanor that often though, unfortunately.”

Name: Elvis Barrett McKay
Year: 3rd
Relationship: : DD and <3
What you think of Leigh: "Leigh and I are pretty good friends. Like, I wouldn't say best friends, because we're just not, but she's really funny and a great person to be around."
History, if any: Well, they're just in the same year and they've talked a bit and joked around. They've had their share of laughs.
Plot ideas: Ohhh, I dunno, but I think Barrett just might develop some feelings for Leigh.
Leigh says: “-gasp!- I lovelovelove Barrett! He’s so much fun! Well, he may not look like it from the way he acts around everyone else. But around me he always enjoys a good laugh. Haha. I call him ‘Barrette’ for fun. He doesn’t take it personally, knows it’s a joke. He would tell me otherwise, for sure.”

Name: Quinton Zsarcaspian
Year: 6th year
Relationship: Acquaintances
What you think of Leigh: “Dear Leigh, what a sweet girl, from what I’ve heard. I only see her around school, but mostly on the Quidditch Pitch. She tries sooo hard to get the quaffel away from me. Poor girl. Oh well. Maybe I’ll give it to her next game… pft… But I‘ve heard that Oliver‘s going to be training them hard this year, and I‘m sure she‘ll definitely improve… Hmm…”
History, if any: Some Quidditch games, and Alice talking about Fig’s not-so-secret crush on the girl.
Plot ideas: Yes, leigh will definitely injure him on the Quidditch pitch. And he‘ll be mad for a little while, but find it quite interesting to see that she came to visit him. And yes, they shall become an interesting pair. Hehe.
Leigh says: "Quincy is –giggle- pretty funny actually. I’ve heard a bit about him from everyone... Alice, Fig, Oliver. I hear he’s a bit crazy and not very bright. As far as I know from the pitch, well, I’ve never been able to get the quaffle from him. The fact that he’s 3 grades above me probably helps that. As far as our relationship goes, we’re just acquaintances. I kinda sorta think he’s sorta kinda cute, but it’s just a baby crush I’ve never told anyone about. I doubt he’d like me anyway. “

Ravies

Name: Alanis Jensen
Year: 3rd year
Relationship: What you think of Leigh: "That Gryffindor in some of my classes... humph. I never really liked her, ever since our first year. Everyone says she's strange, but in a humourous way... and then I'm the one getting shot with all the wonderfully callous comments about how I'm strange in a bad way. If I tried really hard, I think I could be able to sit next to her. But I don't see that happening."
History, if any: Same classes, and having the same rumors of being strange spread around- but for two COMPLETELY different reasons.
Plot ideas: If it really gets bad... actually, I don't know. It's best that they just stayed separate. I don't think becoming friends will be an option for the future, but if Alanis becomes a little less strange, and, well, Leigh will do whatever, the shared dislike may lessen somewhat to an extent where they can stay in the same room without being in class.
Leigh says: "I've told everyone who's asked: you don't need a reason not to like someone. People think I'm odd, like "Oh, that's Leigh, she blows up stuff, its funny." But with Alanis, people say, "She's too strange for words, is something not working right up there?" Not exactly the kind of attention I want, thanks. It's just best if we aren't forced to even be near eachother."

User Image
Name: Masika Sabah Het-Heru
Year: 6
Relationship: What you think of Leigh: "Leigh can get really irritating, really fast. She doesn't like Alnis who is practically my little sister, so no, I don't like Leigh Guidry. Besides, I consider it hazardous to my health to be near her, since she seems to blow up things"
History, if any: None.
Plot ideas: Hum. I'm not sure.
Leigh says: “I dunno what I ever did to her, but I guess I just really rub her the wrong way. She occasionally gives me these looks. Man I hope this isn’t about Alanis. But knowing my luck, it probably is.”

Name: Zaidin Matthew Berkeley
Year: 7
Relationship: What you think of Leigh: "Leigh? Hm. She doesn't like Alanis for stupid reasons. She seems pretty shallow, to me, actually. I'm not sure if I could even think about being friends with someone like that. That seems a little more Slytherin like, to me, don't you think so?"
History, if any: None really.
Plot ideas: Not sure. :
Leigh says: “He’s funny. I’m sure we’d get along fine if he wasn’t always doing whatever Masika does or believing what Masika believes. I really, really hope this isn’t about Alanis. That’d just be stupid.”

Name: Zaito-Ishi
Year: 5th
Relationship: Recording her actions while trying to break her and slowly make her crack. Nothing against her, just a random person he saw that was a tad too happy.
What you think of Leigh: It's enjoyable watching her get depressed. She needs more of it.
History, if any: None
Plot ideas: He may be nice to her...15 years from now.

Slythies

Name: Rain Larks
Year: 6th year
Relationship: : D - acquaintances
What you think of Leigh: "Umm... who? ... Oh... oh, yes! The Gryffindor girl who blows everything around her up! I know who she is, because Fig tends to talk about her often, and Alice says she's a nice girl, so I guess she's alright. If Alice and Figgie say so... I think I've only meat her once, before... Isn't she a Gryffindor chaser, or sumthin'?"
History, if any: None, really, only short conversations (when Alice or Fig is speaking with her) in the past. He finds her fascinating, though, being able to have such power as that. ... But wonders from afar.
Plot ideas: Short conversations, and maybe becoming just friends. But he's a Slytherin, remember?
Leigh says: "Rain is one of the few guys I'm not drooling over, sorry. He's just... I don't know. He's Alice's guy, you know? Even if I did want him to be closer to me, I think Alice would happily rearrange my face, but she probably doesn't want me to spread that around school."

Name: Melanie Parks
Year: 4th
House Slytherin
Relationship: : D
What you think of Leigh: "Leigh is a year after me but she seems really nice..and funny. Well she's funny because of her personality and because that things tend to blow up around her, which is odd because things tend to dissappear around me..Well anways she seems like she would be a fun person to hang out with and is a bit of competion to get the quaffle sometimes!"
History, if any: They might have talked twice and they've played Quidditch against each other a few times in the past few years.
Plot ideas: They could become friends, if their house rivalries in Quidditch don't get in the way...
Leigh says: "I haven't seen a quality in Melanie that makes her fit the Slytherin stereotype... well except on the Quidditch pitch. Then, she can scare me - like, I should fear for my life. But I know that once the game finishes, she'll turn back to normal."

Name: Zaccheus Dane
Year: 3
Relationship: What you think of Leigh: "Oh, right. That vegetarian that named a rock. I suppose some things she says aren't entirely annoying, but it would be nice if she kept her mouth shut more often. Or forever."
History, if any: A couple of classes together, but no direct affiliation with each other.
Plot ideas: Not much really, except perhaps some conflict involving Zacch's opinions of most Gryffindors.
Leigh says: "Yeah, even if I tried to be nice to Dane he'd blow me off anyway. I dread waiting for the day that we are actually forced to communicate, or worse, cooperate. There's something seriously wrong with him, other than the fact that he's the stereotypical Slytherin."

Name: Aidan Sebastian Reese
Year: 7th
Relationship: What you think of Leigh: "That filthy Gryffindor Mudblood? Disgusting. She's kind of cute, but that's about ALL she's got going for her, in my book."
History, if any: none, except maybe passing insults in the corridors
Plot ideas: continued hate.
Leigh says: “Why do all the older kids hate me? I honestly did nothing to him… that I can remember – but I’m sure I apologized for whatever it was! But other than not liking me, I dislike him for however he’s messing with Alice. I don’t know the whole story yet – but I will!”

Name: Lolita Doerity
Leigh says: “Oh… I don’t want to sound mean, but between you and me, Lolita, Lolli, Dotey, whatever. She’s a bit whack. She’s really quiet and wasn’t so interested in our conversation last time we talked. It was kinda like talking to a whole ‘nother person than she looks like. Whatever, as long as she’s not mean to me, I won’t be mean to her.”

Name: Olivia Zsarcaspian
Year: 4th year
Relationship: What you think of Leigh: “A teenage Gryffindor. Who blows up stuff. Ew.
History, if any: None, but Olivia’s heard plenty about Leigh around school that she’s a danger to everyone.
Plot ideas: Meh, maybe something about her brother, or not. Highly doubt it. Oh wait. I like your idea about Olivia and Johanna screwing around with Fig‘s head. Aww. It‘ll be sad, but maybe it‘ll make Fig and Leigh‘s relationship grow.
Leigh says: “I like to stay away from her. She doesn’t sound very friendly. She and her brother are like, total opposites. It’s weird.”

September o1
User Image____ This morning's plane ride was okay, pretty boring except for turbulance... which I actually thought was fun. It reminded me of an amusment park ride. Which ride, I can't remember. The last time we visited an amusement park was over 5 years ago. We never went again, because one of the rides almost made my mom puke. Almost. It wouldn't be so bad, if it weren't for the fact that my mom believes "inducing vomit" is the most "despicable" thing ever invented.
____ So I was really glad to leave her at the station. Really, really glad. So glad that I played "Free Bird" in my head, and my brain forgot to tell my eyes to watch out for other people. I found myself on the ground, with an older Slytherin girl looking down on me like I belonged there. Of course I didn't say anything except "sorry" because I'd rather not get jinxed on the first day of school.
User Image____Then I found an empty compartment, which is great because I hate asking to sit with people, no matter who it is. And Oliver decides to peek in and laugh his stupid Scottish laugh and run away as soon as I catch him. We probably disturbed a few people, yelling down the hallway. But they should all expect that from us - we're Gryffindors. And of course, like it's tradition or routine or something, something goes wrong. The handle of my trunk fell off. Nothing serious, because I can fix it. But stuff like this always happens to me (why me? I dunno).
____ And then Glenn comes in with all his darn perfect-ness. We were joking about Bethany Lewis, who has now decided to stalk him with her friends. Man, she is annoying. And Fig almost ran over Alice when she found our compartment. But Fig was only inside for a second when Alice starts talking to this extra slimy Slytherin who hates me for no reason. And all of a sudden she's off to who knows where. I kind of stopped paying attention.
User Image____ The Weasley twins, Lee Jordan, and some first year came in next. Fig already knew her, the first year, I mean. And Glenn was pretty much forgotten when everyone started ranting on about Bailey(that's the first year's name). I was talking to him, all was going well, and he was thinking I was hilarious, when Fig butts in with something totally off-subject. I kinda sorta decided to change in the middle of the conversation, because I thought it was later than it really was.
____ I left without thinking about anyone else, but I didn't think about it until I was in the horribly long line. And of course, I turn around and there's Alanis a few people back, in all her cynical, sarcastic, pessimistic glory. Ha. Ha. Kidding. It was magically all better when Glenn came to talk, though. And then he said Bailey should have been coming. Not that bad, yeah. But not exactly how I wanted to end our conversation.
User Image____ And I discovered I'm really horrible at small talk. Because the only thing I could think to say was "How do you like Hogwarts?" And we weren't even there yet. She's not too bad, I guess.
____ I changed in like, a millisecond. Fast as lightning, I'd say. And it probably helped that I only had to put on two things. I didn't even put on shoes. All I had were my rainboots, and they'd look awfully silly with my (almost) prim and proper uniform. But then Glenn decided it would be fun to scare me half to death and make me tihnk I was getting in trouble. So I decided he needed a kick in the shin.
____ And I could not wait for the train to stop - it felt like forever waiting in thecompartment. And then of course we had to wait longer in line to get off. But it wasn't so bad because I met this guy named Kevin and he's vegan (which means he doesn't use or eat meat or animal byproducts, by the way) and he's really funny. We made faces to each other all during the Sorting Ceremony. And Kevin made this monkey face with his ears and his cheeks and it was killer.
User Image ____ The food at the feast looked as good as usual. Although Justin Gallagher decided to start the year off with a bang... literally. He made water fly everywhere, including my hair. And I showed Fig that I had spots and he gave me stripes. It was pretty funny actually, but it got even better when I ruffled Fig's hair and he turned tickle-me-pink. And then that's when it all went down hill. Two words: Food fight. Alice must've thought it was a good idea, and it was funny at first, but then Justin 'turned up the fun a few notches' he would probably say. But then I saw flying meat and it wasn't so much fun. Professor McGonagall stopped it though and had Justin sit by the first years.

what to expect:
Quote:
As far as clothes go, they reflect her personality. Leigh owns many big tee shirts with graphic prints and cheeky sayings, but she’s not afraid of more formal tops, as long as she can pair them with jeans. And because her legs are so long and skinny, Leigh can get away with skinny-cut jeans, mini skirts and short shorts. Her accessories include wide, chunky belts worn over her clothes; colorful tote bags of all shapes and sizes; legwarmers and funky, multicolored socks; plastic, neon colored, “kiddy” jewelry; Converse Low-Tops; and anything with Hello Kitty on it. When Leigh found out Hogwarts had uniforms, she was upset but managed to slide past the rules… with as many bracelets, necklaces, and rings on as possible [without getting in trouble].

wait! i can explain!
[[ so I know what you're thinking: 'why does Leigh have so much clothes with her at Hogwarts?' Well, my dear friend, that is an easy question for a BS master like myself. Here, I will give you a couple reasons as to why it seems Leigh has so many things.
o1. Leigh's body is rather tall, but still skinny. She can wear little shorts and skirts without loooking or feeling fat. And even though she likes to wear oversized clothing, 'Medium' is considered much too large for Leigh. So naturally, most of her clothes are made up of less fabric than normal clothing. Therefore, they take up less room in her trunk.
o2. Leigh's family, being Muggles and residing across the Atlantic Ocean, it is rather impossible for them to send things to her, even if she needs it. So, Leigh must be prepared for any kind of weather or situation.
o3. the 'repeat' factor. Unlike most teenage girls, Leigh reuses pieces of her wardrobe to mix and match. She only brings 2 pairs of jeans, and reuses bags and jackets and such. She owns several pairs of shoes, but she keeps packing in mind, so she doesn't bring huge boots and heels, flats and tennis shoes are good enough for Leigh. ]]

Behind the history known to Mr. and Mrs. Guidry, there is a much more complicated story.

To the Dissapointment of the Brodieaux Family

_____For generations past, the blood of the Brodieauxs ran pure. One was lucky to assosiate the wealthy family of France. The middle daughter of Gaston and Evette Lacroix, Suzette, was even luckier to marry one of Roland and Kamille's sons and carry the Brodieaux name. The marriage set the bar high for the two other Lacroix sisters, Genevieve and Elizabeth. But even before her sister married, Genevieve felt rushed to produce an heir and married the first pureblooded wizard she could. She and Michael Buckingham had their only child, Laurène in 1877. Unfortunately, the girl died at age 9, and Michael died 7 years later. When Genevieve died in 1925, with no heirs, her portion of the fortune went to Suzette.
_____Francois and Suzette Brodieaux had three children: Nicholas, Marc, and Gabrielle. The heavy traditions of the Brodieaux family were almost completely lost. Marc had the most luck in the family. He married a fine half-blood witch who attended Beauxbatons. Ever fair-minded, he married Alexandria Evans for her mind, rather than shunning her for her blood.
_____Nicholas was married first, but his choice was a bit of a dissapointment to the family. Alicia Simon, though attractive and kindhearted, could not trace her blood back past three generations. The most dissappointing, though, was Gabrielle's choice in a husband. Vincent Villo, a Muggle of all things. Luckily for the disapproving family members, Gabrielle took on her husband's name and essentially abandoned her own family.

The Simon Girls Go Seperate Ways

_____Franklin Simon, youngest of three children to Alfred and Katrina Simon, was the only one in the family to develop magical powers, which made his parents proud but his siblings quite jealous. Franklin was sorted into Hufflepuff in his first year of Hogwarts.
_____There he met Emily Rose Gerber, also a Hufflepuff. Though she was a year younger, Emily had more knowledge of magic and the world around her than many students older than she. She had grown up with her mother and her Muggle-born grandfather because her own father, Joseph Gerber, had died when she was only 8. Emily had learned much from her grandfather. Emily was also and avid reader, and graduated at the top of her class.
_____The couple was married in 1876 and had two daughters not too long afterward. Alison was born first, sorted into Gryffindor, and quickly became a success and the pride and joy of the family as an auror. Though her job was exciting, her home life was quaint. She, her husband James, and their daughter Fiona made a quiet family of 3.
_____Alicia turned out to be quite the opposite case. She was sorted into Ravenclaw upon her arrival at Hogwarts, 1 year behind her sister. Though Alison had taken schoolwork seriously, Alicia did not. Alison was infuriated with jealousy when Alicia easily married into money. Alicia had a simple job as a seamstress for a French dress robes company, but all her stress came from her husband's family. She and Nicholas seemed to be one scandal after another.

The Marriage and Children

_____It was a beautiful January day that Alicia Simon became Mrs. Brodieaux, to much displeasure from the powerful French family.
_____Hailey Nicole Brodieaux was born only 6 months after the wedding, as she was the cause of the marriage. The choice of Hailey's school caused quite a wrinkle in the tradition of the Brodieaux family. Every member of the family had attented Beauxbatons for generations. Nicholas allowed Alicia to send Hailey to Hogwarts, only if their son attended Beauxbatons.
_____Caleb Michael Brodieaux was born 6 years after his sister, probably to avoid more critisism from the family. When Hailey entered her 7th year as a Ravenclaw, Caleb began his time at his father's school. There he met Lisa Martino, and proved to be hope for the Brodieauxs.

The Story of Alexander Valtain Begins

_____In 1899, the son of Vanessa and Edward Valtain, Alexander Jean, 21, married Sarafina Butner, 16. He came from noble English family that had been intertwined with magical blood. He was indeed a wizard and attended Hogwarts as a Ravenclaw. When he met the young and beautiful German girl, it was easy to charm her with magic tricks. Her mother and father worked long hours, and Sarafina spent most of her time embroidering, lonely in a small appartment.
_____They had their first and only child, Thomas Dean, in 1902; the mother was only 19 at the time. Alexander entertained his family with spells, but his young son never showed any talents, magically. As years went on and Alexander got tired, he spent more and more of his time at work. Sarafina worked at a local hospital, but spent a good portion of her time being a homemaker.
_____Finally, in 1921, just after Thomas’s 19th birthday, he set off to find work in America. When he came back to visit his family in 1928, he had a wife, three daughters, and a business position with a flooring company. Through the Great Depression and World War II, the family had its struggles, but everyone got by financially and medically sound.

Miss Brodieaux becomes Mrs. Thomas Valtain

_____While Caleb was just marrying Miss Lisa Martino and bringing another male Brodieaux into the world, Hailey was in America, raising 3 young daughters.
_____She had gone on a trip around the world after she graduated. She stopped in America when she met Mr. Thomas Valtain, a charming young lad from England who was trying to make a living in America. Though he was a Muggle, Hailey figured that she had been a disappointment already to her family, so there was no reason not to stay with the man she loved. She married him and had 3 children, none of which had magical talents.
_____Rose Marina did everything fast, sewing, schoolwork, cooking, cleaning. She had patience for nothing.
_____Analise Evette had been the quiet, hopeless romantic of the girls growing up.
_____Caitlyn Josephine was the smart child through schooling, and she thought through everything before taking action.
_____The eldest daughter, Rose, got married and divorced [gasp! that was a big thing back then] at an early age. She had no children and vowed to stay out of relationships with trouble-making men. Caitlyn, the youngest, would have none of her sister’s drama and believed in a higher authority; she became a nun. It seemed up to Analise to be the source of an heir.
_____In fact, in 1947, Thomas’s middle child married at 22. The man’s name was Andrew Mason, who was 25. His family had lived in Canada for generations. He and Analise met and settled down in Vermont. Not long after, Alexander, back in England, was tending to his wife who was becoming quite sickly from a family disease. His three granddaughters had no magical powers, like his son; Alexander became weary and began to grow old. Luckily, he had another generation to witness, and tried to remain hopeful.

A Look At Miss Amelia Mason

_____Amelia Ann Mason was born in Early July, 1948. She was the only child to the Masons, but they lived a comfortable, very quiet life. Amelia was spoiled by what her parents could afford. But when news came back to Alexander that his great-granddaughter was not magical either, he got impatient and thought badly of the parents. Sarafina’s death in 1960 depressed him more, and seven years later, his son died as well.
_____In 1971, Amelia married Garth Paul Guidry, who was a sort of balance to her life. A year later, on April 14th, Alexander’s great-great-grandson, Luke Jacob Guidry was born. Unfortunately, the doctors could tell of early signs of a serious disease. Alexander was aware that his wife had inherited the same illness. Amelia and Garth were afraid to have another child until their son got a bit better. The small family lived 20 minutes away from New York City, and only two minutes away from an excellent physician.
_____By the time the couple was ready for another baby, both Amelia’s and Garth’s mothers died. But it was too late to go back; the new arrival was on the way. At 3 o’clock am on October 8th, 1976, little Leigh Francine Guidry [Francine was Garth’s mother’s name] was born. She screamed and scared her big brother at first, but when she became cute and cuddly, Luke was happy to have a playmate. Alexander got news of the baby and had a good feeling about this child.
_____98 year old Alexander got himself on a boat and took a trip to America. His arrival was a strange one, as robes are not usually worn in New York, and Amelia was not aware that her great-grandfather had outlived his wife, son, and granddaughter. Alexander came to see his little Leigh, and left happy, letting Amelia and Garth know that if he was ever needed, he would be happy to come down.
_____Luke Guidry been hospitalized for a month before he died at age six on a cold December night. Alexander visited for this occasion as well, but this time, Amelia asked him not to come back.

with others, alone, romance, schoolwork, flaws, quirks, hobbies, and fears

Even Leigh has to admit, her social skills are a bit flawed.

Leigh's a bit of a rebel. And she's got her parents to thank for that ["If they hadn't kept me isolated from the rest of the world, I would be perfectly normal!"]. Sometimes Leigh just speaks up to put her opinion in, even if she can't very well back it up. But the funny thing is, Leigh doesn't usually like to argue, most of the time she's just outspoken. Truthfully, she isn't the most logical person and tries to stay out of really heated debates and battles of wit because she's most likely lose. And if you ask her opinion on something, Leigh will be upfront, honest, and not leave out any of the details: she will tell you right away how ugly that skirt is and why. In many cases, this can be seen as brutal and rude, but she doesn't realize it as so, and repetitive apologies come out like machine gun shots. Contrary to popular belief, Leigh is quite harmless. She has a crazy desire to be trusted. She's figured that if you trust someone, they are likely to trust you back, and Leigh lives by that principle. From a first impression, if someone seems unfriendly, as much as human nature tempts her not to, she tells herself over and over, "Innocent until proven guilty," a term that was drilled into her brain from 5th grade Social Studies classes. Until someone is purposely rude or nasty to her, Leigh tries not to act catty to them [but everyone slips up sometimes].

Like [almost] everyone at Hogwarts, Leigh is only human, and she makes mistakes. She wants to fit in with everyone, but sometimes her odd sense of humor makes people avoid her, and she's never too happy about that. Leigh doesn't mind getting her hands dirty [she never was a really girly-girl], and often finds other people's silly fears quite amusing. On occasion, she'll hold up worms in Herbology and little slimy creatures in Care of Magical Creatures, just to make her rude, bratty, girly classmates squirm. She won't realize that they're really afraid unless they cry, and then she won’t forgive herself. Leigh can be a bit slow to get other people’s jokes. And others don’t quite find her jokes to be as hilarious as she does. Leigh can’t tell a story to save her life. She goes off onto little details that don’t really pertain to the plotline, and has to be reminded of the original story. Leigh’s attention flies back and forth to whatever may interest her at that second, as she’s afraid to miss anything.

When Leigh isn’t around others, she’s usually practicing, studying, or procrastinating. So, Leigh isn't the best student. Any class requiring books, memorization, and most spells isn't her best subject. She's much more fond of Astronomy and Divinations. It's not that Leigh is stupid; it just takes a lot of focus and long study hours [at least an hour a day, if she isn’t totally distracted] for her to understand things clearly. Unfortunately, she gets easily distracted and hates monotony, thus creating quite the dilemma. Yes, Leigh is a bit messy. More often than not, she loses any papers that go into her schoolbag, so she tends to keep a lot of things in her pockets.

Leigh is best known for her little magical 'accidents' around the castle at the beginning of her first year. Now she has developed a fear of people thinking lowly of her. She's learned since then, so Leigh's convinced herself that she's got to redeem herself, which is why she got into Quidditch [even she was surprised she made it last year]. Unfortunately, she isn't the best player, and she tries to train harder than everyone else on the team. She’s usually out on the pitch alone, focusing on scoring and speed and such. It eats up a fair amount of her time, as Leigh can be quite a clumsy person. It's surprising to people how she isn't more coordinated from getting around the mountain range of junk piles in her room at home. Leigh never uses her time to clean… ever.

Though she’s too indecisive to choose favorites, hobbies that most readily distract Leigh include: painting her nails [fingers and toes!], eating sweets, and playing with her house mates’ pets. Leigh doesn’t own her own animal, unfortunately. The only thing she'd ever hurt [and certainly not on purpose!] would be an animal. As much as she would love a black cat, she'd forget to feed it or something and, well, it would die. For some reason, plants are a different story. Leigh has an adequate grade in Herbology only because she's forced to focus on a single plant for a set amount of time, and she probably won't see the same plant again next lesson. Her enthusiasm in Herbology has gained her a title of 'tree-hugger' but she doesn't mind that stereotype as much as others. And the fact that Leigh’s a vegetarian only adds to that stereotype. Leigh decided to become a vegetarian around her 11th birthday, and her parents noticed just a week or two later. Leigh feels that she ends up hurting enough animals through accidents of her own, that she doesn’t need to harm any more through eating them. An animal uttering a cry of pain sends chills up her spine, you could say she’s afraid of it.

Another favorite past time of Leigh’s is flirting. You guessed it. No social life + Leigh’s parent’s rules = no boys. One of Leigh’s favorite things about Hogwarts is the fact that her parents aren’t there, so she is free to flirt with whichever boys she likes… and there are a lot of them. She has a horribly difficult time hiding her emotions when she’s around a boy she likes. She giggles a lot, smiles constantly, and gains a bit of spunk. She thinks it’s the most adorable thing when guys blush around her, and she likes playing with curly hair. And if she’s that into you, you could have her attention forever and ever, even if the world were ending. But Leigh may not realize that she feels anything more than a crush around most guys. She has little crushes, big crushes, secret crushes, and totally obvious crushes. But she’s completely oblivious to whether or not a guy may like her, so it often has to be spelled out to her. But when Leigh gets serious about a guy, there’s no going back. There’s no way Leigh could ever stop liking a boy right away, but it may fade over time. This may be partly because Leigh has a fear of being alone when she grows up. That’s also a reason she dislikes Valentine’s day, because at this point of her life, boys haven’t quite totally figured the holiday yet. So when Leigh knows a boy likes her, she always expects something special on that day, and gets nothing.
