Are you a Cremisi?
  Yes... I see things...
No. I'm a scientist. I study them to understand.
CREMISI?!? Where? Stay away from me!
Is that a kind of chocolate?

There have been...special...people since the birth of mankind. People who saw things that weren't really there; 'ghosts' in the technological system that we call Earth. They hear the voices of people they may or may never have met. They see faces without names. They find pieces of paper that originated from nowhere, with writing on them written in no language known to man. They scan fingerprints belonging to no one but turn up at a crime scene. All around them, people suddenly change for no reason. People disappear into thin air, not to be heard from again by their families and friends. They live through the stray memories that lurk in the least likely places.

We, for ages, were unable to understand these occurrences and the people having them, and so we shunned them, keeping all who mentioned them at bay. We've stayed far away from what we do not understand. But now, in this day and age, that's all about to change.

A team of scientists and people known as the Cremisi, those who see these glitches, banded together. They worked together for five months before disappearing under mysterious circumstances. Not only were they gone, but their labs, all of their findings in every single library across the globe, and all written traces of their existence were gone as well. The scientists and cooperating Cremisi were nothing but memories anymore.

Far away, yet still so close, they are alive and well, if not lost. They have entered a new world, one that, for years, has held the 'universe' containing the Earth, the Sun, and all of the stars that they knew in a box, sealed away in an advanced laboratory. This was done to 'minimize damage', so to speak.

The story is long, and the group from Earth is about to discover more than they bargained for. My friend, I know I am among them. Are you?
PostPosted: Wed Dec 26, 2007 9:54 pm

In 365 exact days from April 21st, the day the Cremisi and the scientists entered a new world, the people of Earth will all die. It has been seen; it is written in stone by the prophets of the new world of Azriel. Certain Azrielians have every intention of unplugging the machines that keep everything working in the box that contains Earth. If that happens, everyone and everything left of Earth will be destroyed. All matter, everything that was known to be 'permanent', will be gone. It is up to the Cremisi, the scientists, and a few rebel Azrielians to stop the Imperial Senate of Azriel from being forced to unplug Earth forever.

Accepted Characters

Cremisi:

Gaia Name: Tokyoanimefan
Character Name: Ashley Oakes
Character Nickname: Ashe
Age: 16
Role: Cremisi
World: Earth
Bio: Ashley was a relatively normal child before she turned seven. After that point, however, her parents began to notice some...oddities. Ashe began to start seeing people that weren't in fact there. This didn't happen often, and doctor's couldn't diagnose her with schizophrenia or any other cognitive illness. She was perfectly normal except for every once and a while, when she'd start talking to invisible people. In response to this, her parents took her out of school and began tutoring her privately. During her long hours of free time with nothing else to do, she began studying material far above her level and playing war games with herself.
A month after her sixteenth birthday, Ashe's parent's finally were too terrified by their daughter's conversations with the air and sent her away to the lab scientists. The scientists were very kind to Ashe, and she grew attachments to each of them.
When she was suddenly placed in Azriel, however, she began to notice other things. Somehow, upon arrival, Ashe has been able to change the mood of an area. For example, if people are tense, she can, upon using energy, make them feel calm, and vice versa. Since she isn't particularly good at controlling this yet, though, she fears herself.
Personality: Ashley is really a smart, clever girl, and she has always been good at war games, so she has mind for strategy. She's an analyst at heart, and, because she studied so much extra material, she's a prodigal genius. However, except for the occasional wise crack, she's quite quiet and lost in her own thoughts.
Skill: Ashe can change the mood of the people around her and render them unable to change it.
Likes: Ashley likes sleeping, eating, and studying anything.
Dislikes: People who are loud, gluttons, and, for some unexplainable reason, carpenters.
Other: Ashley is a narcoleptic. In other words, no matter how much she sleeps, she's always tired. She has 'sleep attacks', where she randomly falls asleep from anywhere between 30 seconds to six hours straight. She also is always carrying some sort of book with her.
Appearances: Ashley

To compensate for the cutouts on the sides of her skirt, Ashley wears white pants underneath. For shoes, she wears simple flat, black boots.

Gaia Name: Primrose Moon
Character Name: Penny Whitdragon
Character Nickname: Penn, Pen-Pen, Fire Faerie
Age: 16
Role: Cremisi
World: Earth
Bio: Penny worked in a circus for the longest amount of time and was an absolute hit with her fire routine. However, her constant feeling odd things, seeing invisible people and knowing things she had no way of knowing irritated the very important son of the ringmaster in the circus. He had her as an assitant for one of his magic tricks and purposefully muffed it up to make it look like her fault. Penny was tossed out from the circus and was pretty much forever known as irresponsible and clumsy although this isn't the case. Penny's homelife was dull - her parents were happy as long as she was getting money and when she wasn't, they argued. One day, she left in search of finer entertainment, trying to put life's worries behind her and entertain small children.
Personality: Penny is incredibly loud and always prefers fists to words, even though she knows she isn't strong enough for a good competition. She always loves to charm her admirers and can be very grumpy easily especially when she is called too young or irresponsible. Has a very sardonic streak in her, especially when she feels like people are talking down to her.
Skill: She knows things before people have said anything at times, if the thought's strong enough.
Likes: Green Tea, vegetables, fire, thrills, heights and fortunes.
Dislikes: Magicians, cards, quietness and loneliness.
Other: X
Appearances: [Penny]

Scienists (Earth)

Gaia Name: Tokyoanimefan
Character Name: Stephen Cross
Character Nickname: Steve, Cross
Age: 35
Role: Scientist of Earth
World: Earth
Bio: Stephen was always a pretty smart kid in school, but he wasn't really considered to be much of anything. He did, however, prove to be good with computers, and he started studying various diseases as part of some lab work. He got his college degree easily and worked with the military for a little while before moving on to the C-Labs. He was working with LabSync, the large computer system that helped the so called Cremisi and their doctors and scientists. Until it was sucked into Azriel via who knows what along with Stephan and his employers, it was the largest and most efficient system in existence on Earth. Stephen himself was the engineer.
Personality: Steve is a fairly happy-go-lucky guy. He's pretty oblivious to the obvious, and can only really understand computers. He's pretty much a geek when it comes down to it, but he's really nice and will do almost anything for a friend.
Skill: N/A
Likes: Steve likes his computers more than anything, although he likes holding conversations with the Cremisi. He likes comedies.
Dislikes: He is afraid to wake up Ashley, considering last time he did so he was bludgeoned with the nearest object. He also hates sad endings to stories and people who don't appreciate technology.
Other: Steve often tries (and fails) to quote Shakespeare and other famous literary works.
Appearances: Stephen

People of Earth

Gaia Name: Primrose Moon
Character Name: Grant Carver
Character Nickname: Bloodhound (so called because he can apparently find anyone)
Age: 34
Role: Soldier
World: Earth
Bio: Grant was always a soldier guy - born from a family of soldiers and even with a famous father. When he was younger, he took dares from the other kids to prove how tough and daring he was. However, when he ended up with serious injuries, he shamed his family and he began to realize how much the family honour meant to him. Grant, although he wasn't the type, decided to serve the Earth army so as to honour his family name as his father and brothers had done before him. Nowadays, he has been promoted to a general for his knack of finding things, nipping problems while they're still young and generally being efficient.
Personality: The one word that describes Grant best is lazy. He is seemingly carefree and jolly about nothing in paticular, but, Grant most definitely is lazy. He only does what is neccessary and when there is a crisis he sorts it out extra-quickly not liking to waste time. He appears business-like only to his superiors . Grant came to Azriel on the hopes of preventing Earth's untimely fate any way possible.
Skill: X
Likes: Alcohol, napping, food, breezy days and chess.
Dislikes: Chocolate, cats, reading and loud people.
Other: Grant has a tendency to get drunk and reveal pointless secrets. Whether or not this is fake, nobody knows.
Appearances: [Grant]

Azrielians

Gaia Name: Venetian Darkbringer
Character Name: Venetian
Age: 17
Role: An Azrielian soldier with healing abilities that feels sympothetic for humans, and enjoys being around them. She dislikes the thought of destroying Earth.
World:Azriel
Bio: Venetian was set up as an Azrielian soldier near the age of 14, her role was to actually go to Earth, as a being, -- not like an unseen image-- and become one of them. Figure out who they were, take notes on their actions, and then head back to Azriel with that report.
But becoming friends with this one Earthling, she actually became close to him. And soon slowely began taking less notes on humans. She became friends with him, and it changed her hateful idea of the humans, to an understanding. When she was ordered back to Azriel, she stared at the notes, it only stated... The bad things about the people of Earth... The people of Azriel would never begin to understand Earth if they never went there, but... They never would. Venetian threw the notes away, and came back with nothing. The commanders were angry, but she didn't care, ahe was soon closed out from the people of her army. She was still with them, but generally ignored. Now, she dislikes their motives of destroying Earth, and hopes that she will be of any help to stop it. Convincing or fighting.
Personality: Quiet, and seemingly playful. But hotheaded and arrogant. It is almost like this human has a split personality. She dislikes seeing any racial discrimination of any sort, which is seeming to stir up a lot recently.
Skill: Healing abilities.
Likes: Her friends, the people of Earth, making things.
Dislikes: Discrimination, people who boss her around, a lot of things that would be directed toward her in general.

Appearances: Chocolate brown hair, with a crimson red to it, making her hair a mahogany color. Her skin a cream tan. And her eyes brown-red with a hazel outline, her eyes are dark and many people think she wears mascara, but it is natural. She has a thin, narrowed face and big cheeks, and thick eyebrows. She is average height, and big hips and small shoulders. She has an hourglass figure.
Her hair is only to her upper back, and her bangs start from the left side of her face and cover one of her eyes.

Gaia Name: Tokyoanimefan
Character Name: Joshua Parker
Character Nickname: N/A
Age: 21
Role: Azrielian barkeeper and LabSync sympathizer
World: Azriel
Bio: Joshua's had a hard life. His mother died giving birth to him and his father became a drunk, constantly abusing Joshua. He has scars from his back from being whipped with a belt. Still, he kept his naturally cheery nature, and when his father died young from heart problems, he took over the inn called 'Lady Luck'. As soon as the Cremisi and LabSync arrived, he immediately affiliated himself with them, allowing them to knock down various walls and such to build their lab inside the inn. He decided that he made a good enough profit off of the tavern section to cut down on the number of rooms. He placed the sign 'Determining Crisis' outside as a marker for all LabSync workers.
Personality: Joshua is a naturally cheery guy. He's good natured and can't lie for his life.
Skill: N/A, unless you count tremendous luck.
Likes: Joshua loves talking with customers and making people happy. He also likes gambling, but he knows when to back out.
Dislikes: People who don't like a little adventure, the Senate, Hector Azriel and rowdy men who disturb the ladies.
Other: Joshua has uncanny luck, and often finds things that others can't and win games no one thought could be won.
Appearances: Joshua

Azrielian Senators: (Seven positions available)

Gaia Name: Tokyoanimefan
Character Name: Hector Jarsei Azriel
Character Nickname: N/A
Age: 35
Role: High Chancellor (Head of the Azrielian Senate)
World: Azriel
Bio: Before the arrival of the Cremisi and the scientists from Earth, Hector was the rich son of Lord Marcos Azriel, and the latest generation in the founders of Azriel. He took his father's place on the Senate at age 24, and has sat as High Chancellor ever since. He is sometimes looked down upon because of his age, but, considering his position, no one vocalizes those notions out of fear. Since he has wife, son or other children that he knows of, he believes that he will be in this position for the rest of his life. Beyond that, he doesn't care. He lives in the tower containing the Senate rooms at the center of the city of Azriel.
With the constant new arriving scientists and Cremisi, however, people that have long been opposed to Hector are now speaking out against his rule, something he despises. He uses his own personal task force to hunt down these 'rebels', and has further other secret forces to the other Senators for the same purpose to use as they wish. He himself pushes to destroy Earth, the reasoning he gives to the public being that, "They will find the glitches in the system we used to contain them in. Those barbarians do not understand and refuse to understand how to live, and they will push their ways upon us. Then, we will all be dead. We need to shut them down before too many of them come to contaminate our world."
Personality: Hector constantly plots. He supports Derk, seeing as Derk follows the same ideals as he himself does. He doesn't truly trust anyone; the rumors have it that he killed his own father because he wanted to retake his old position, or a position, on the Senate. He has a very I'm-holier-than-thou approach to life, and he dislikes the Cremisi simply because they have a talent that he doesn't: being able to see what is going on in both worlds at the same time.
Skill: Although he claims to be a holy man, Hector knows the ways of knives well, as well as how to use a handgun.
Likes: Hector likes his position and his influence over the people, as it inflates his ego. He likes being complemented and 'loved' for the same reasons. He likes oranges.
Dislikes: Hector dislikes anyone more talented or smart than he is, and is willing to do anything to reverse those situations. He dislikes apples for some inexplicable reason, as well as all-out warfare.
Other: N/A
Appearances: Hector has short, dark red hair, with a few stray strands that fall into his face. His eyes are a dark green, and they convey emotions very easily. Though he rather likes to think he is, he is not extremely handsome. He has an extreme lack of sunlight, and it shows in his dead complexion. He wears white outer robes with golden trim. Underneath, he wears crimson robes that stick out a bit at the bottom of the white ones and hook over his middle fingers with attached golden rings. The crimson inner robes also are visible at his neck, where he keeps a popped collar. He wears simple black high boots and a golden sash tied loosely across his waist. He often is seen wearing a red cloak over one shoulder.

Gaia Name: Dasfg5
Character Name: Derk Rasoon
Character Nickname: Derky, Mr. Racoon

" Hmm...Yes..." Derk muttered to himself, his hand painting upon a beautiful pallet. The portrait he was drawing was off himself, of course, depicting himself eating a batch of chocolates. Oh, how he admired his dashing features, he was so surprised that the women hardly went after him to his dismay, " Ooh! Yes, that red does make me look so gallant!" he churred painting a red symbol upon the picture near the top right corner, before he could countinue, however a bell chimed in,
" Master Derk. Your Fencing instructor has arrived," a tired man said, glancing about at the room that Derk was standing in. It was covered in beautiful furniture and even the chandelir that hung above looked like it was worth millions of dollars. There was a huge master bed in the corner with a large drape to the sides to keep out sunlight if Derk were to have afternoon naps and stacked all around the wall of the room were pictures of Derk and of the other Senators in embarassing positions.

" Oh, yes! I must prepare!" Derk cried out, placing the brush into a small bowl of water and rushing off to apply some powder onto his cheeks while the man stood there in an annoyed state, " Sir please..."
" Nuh-uh!" Derk wagged a finger, " Do not disturb me, for I am making myself even more handsome! Unlike you, and your peasants with your ugly faces and clothing. So appaling I say! How I'd hate to be you!" he mocked on and on, the man sighed he had gotten use to this. After Derk had finished prearing and had his rapier at the ready he followed the man out, eager to begin his lessons.

Penny Whitdragon watched all the passerbys go to and fro down the streets as she prepared her routine again. She secretly thought after this long it would've gotten old for both the watchers and herself, but, it seemed the opposite was actually more to the truth.

The young girl only had four props in her rabbit-hide bag. Three smooth batons and a long, thin pretty much invisible piece of thread. And then... her own fire. Penny stood up straight, a baton in each hand as she called out shrilly into the road, hoping for any of the richer citizens in the street would be partial to a bit of circus-style entertainment.

"Come one, come all to the Fire Faerie's show! You can watch as I dazzle you with outrageous tricks with that most dangered element, fire itself! Come one, come all!" she repeated it, feeling like she was chanting instead.

A large crowd of people gradually amassed around Penny, eager to see her usual routine once more. Somehow, it never got old.

Ashley Oakes looked around her with distaste. She said nothing as she walked quietly, the rest of the world almost oblivious to her very existence. The people of Azriel couldn't distinguish her from the common citizen, and for that she was grateful. She heard something going on... A crowd?

Stephen Cross sighed. Again. "Gah... It's all right... I'll fix it myself," he said, his face looking comically sad. He stared at the blank computer screen, frowning. He was getting paid to fix a computer, and he didn't quite know the technology well enough... He needed more training. Meahwhile, the owner of said device was getting impatient. Today was not Cross's lucky day now, was it?
PostPosted: Mon Dec 31, 2007 10:06 pm

With a sudden movement, Penny set one baton on fire and tossed it into the air merrily. It twirled and twizzled in the air before she caught it with her other hand. She let out a small gasp as if it was difficult for her, but, it wasn't. She had done it so many times... fire didn't burn Penny any more. As more of a crowd gathered, she grinned and set the other baton on fire.

"You haven't seen anything yet!" she called out now juggling the two flaming batons with ease only a professional could have.

As he entered one of the main rich buildings, Grant whistled in an undertone at how furnished everything was, even the floor. If these wonderful chaps weren't out to destroy his home and everything he held dear, why, he might even like it here. "Okay, so..." muttered Grant as he looked down at his card again. "It's the senators I have to convince. Well, I've never been one for convincing speeches, but, let's see what I can do."

Derky pranced around the hallways of the Senator's building, very eager to begin his fencing lesson with his so called "servant" prancing behind holding onto all of Derk's "beauty products" and equipment as fencing required quite a bit.
The man hummed to himself as they rounded a corner spotting an approaching man, Derk sighed and brushed right past him, " Out of the way, Peasant!" he said rudely, pushing Grant to the side like he was some cow grazing in the field. After making his way to the garden outside he heard the cheer of the crowd as the girl began her usual routine.

" Ugh... Those fools always gathering around to watch that wench and her little dance or whatever the heck she's doing! Can't they see that we senators need peace and quiet, ugh..I ask you.." he babbled, the servant sighing, how he wished he were apart of that crowd. After Derk finished babling they had finally arrived outside at the gate with Derk's instructor running up to meet the senator.
" Greetings, Mr. Rasoon," the insturctor said bowing.
" Yes, now, shall we begin?" Derk said in an impatient tone.
PostPosted: Wed Jan 02, 2008 1:30 am

After being pushed so roughly, Grant staggered a little on his feet. He blinked twice although he looked as if nothing had happened at all. "Huh. Don't that just beat all?" muttered Grant. Suddenly, it occured to him that he had dropped his card and as he picked it up, it suddenly hit him hard.

"Oh, barnacle." he scanned from the hall to the corridor in search of the rich man, but, he had vanished from sight. "Yeup, this isn't exactly a grand start. That guy looked mighty rich although he was mighty rude, too... he probably knew where those senator guys were..." Grant placed his hand on his chin and stopped a passerby.

"Uh, excuse me, but... do you know who the rich-looking man heading this way was? He had a lot of jewellery on and had this curly lookin' black hair." Grant pointed down the corridor, showing the direction.

The man furrowed his brows, " Why, that's Senator Derk Rassoon.. I don't recommend talking to him as he can be a tad...." he stumbled on the words as talking about those who had authority over him was innappropiate, " Odd.. But, if you have to, he's probably outside by the gate as he usually begins fencing at this time," he said, recalling awful memories of the things he carried by being pushed out of the way and the constant insults that had followed.

While the man talked to Grant, Derk was busy taking out his rapier and polishing it while his instructor, a well build man with short borwn hair, was putting on his gear.
