A deep bellow escaped Alaneir's maw, his silver eyes squinting shut as he winced. How could he have been so careless? Sandy antlers nudged down as he tilted to look at his shoulder. Of course it was still bleeding, but perhaps the cold air would help slow the blood flow. Ears perked as the stag scouted his surroundings, making sure the wolf hadn't followed his scent. But all was clear now, and he could walk calmly once more. His white hooves staggered on through the snow, as the rogue went about continuing his trail. His nostrils would flare every few moments, sending frosty air to curl around his face.

Adula strolled calmly through the snow she had eaten what she could find and was trying to find a place to rest. A small finch had perched on her back and was speaking to her about its troubles through out the day. Adula rolled her eyes, but felt if one was given ears to hear with one should use them. Suddenly she herd a sound, she stilled herself looking every which way. Wanting to know quickly rather it were friend or foe whom approached. "Fly little one." She whispered to the finch on her back before taking a few steps to locate the maker of the sound. She breathed the scents around her it was not a predator, but she did smell blood.
"H..h...hello?"

Alaneir paused in his tread, ears lifting gracefully and alertly. Had he not heard a voice? The stag remained still, peering at the frosted woods before him. It wasn't long before his eyes found the source of the scent, and he saw the hind. Her pelt blended in well with the trees and the stag waited calmly as she paced abit closer and in the open.
With his head bowed forward, he returned her greeting. "Hello, ma'am." He kept his ground to show he was no threat as he took in the other's appearance. No, she didn't have the sent of a herd on her. But perhaps she had roamed too far out. The nearest herd to this land was some ways off. Alaneir shook some snowfall from his silver pelt, careful to keep his balance with one numbed shoulder. "No need to be frightened; I'm no enemy."

Adula looked upon the stranger she didn't recognize him, but her herd was a large one,the Firebringers. She now realized she had no idea where she was she must have wondered too far in her search for food. This made her uneasy and she flattened her ears and shifted her weight.
Adula's yellow eyes took him in he didn't seem threatening. There is was again the smell of blood this wasn't helping her decisions any. She relaxed a little her ears returning to their original position. "Umm, may I ask where we are? It may seem a silly question to ask, but I think I may be lost. Adula is my name by the way." She stayed her distance she still didn't know where the blood smell was coming from.
The little finch from earlier land back on her back and began to tweet away again. "Oh shush can't you see I'm talking to someone already?" The bird tilted it's head then flew off without another tweet.

"Adula." The stag tested the name on his tongue, and realized that no, he had never heard that name before. So which herd she may be from, he couldn't tell right off the back. "I am Alaneir. A rogue to these woods." His blackened legs stepped through the snow, the white stuff only reaching up to the ankles and revealing his striped leggings. He was moving past Adula, at a safe and friendly distance, with his eyes focused on something in the distance. Silence followed for a moment, with the stag's ears tilting back and forward, before looking back at the hind.
Was she...talking to that finch just now? "Aw, you are a speaker then? If I'm not mistaken." He shook his antlers of snowflakes. "I can take you back to your herd. All I need is the name of the herd to locate." Though he may be at a slower pace today than most. Alanier turned his head to lick clean his wounded shoulder, getting rid of the disturbing red. "I apologize, I know that smell must be offending you."
