This topic is for all the writers. I wanna hear what inspires you to write about vampires, witches, demons, or shapeshifters? When did you start and when you started did it just come automatically (as in you sat and wrote a book or close to it) or did it come gradually (as in you could write a few short stories)? And of the above types, what do you put in your stories.
I know when I started writing, my inspiration was reading creepy books by Stephen King aka Richard Bach, and watching vampire movies like "Blood: The Last Vampire" and "Interview With the Vampire". And I started writing when I was in seventh grade. I wrote so much I got 14 F's that year, but I came out with a 9 spiral notebook story that I was gonna publish but ended up losing pieces of it because I let others read it and they misplaced it.
For my stories, I put all of the above types of characters and also I throw in some humans. Just for fun

Well, actually, i've started a story, about a witch/vampire sort of person.
I hope to turn it into a book someday. I'm not sure whether ppl will like it though.

I actually am inspired by the Supernatural. Paranormal. I wrote a story about a Vampire named Van, who turned a human named Domino into a Vampire. A ghost named Spooks liked him and he had to try to kill Van(would break the curse of being a Vampire) in order to kill himself so he could be with her.(Vampires couldn't kill themself in the story)

I never put ghosts in a story.
