These cliffs are in a spot where the bright illumination of Twilight Hour never leaves. Nobody really knows why the sun never sets on these cliffs, but they are the favorite spot of lovers young and old. At the bottom of the cliffs is a narrow revine ocupied by a glistening fresh water river. In the side of one of the cliffsides is a tunnel that leads to the Heroes Memorial Shrine.

As he walked to the edge of the deep valley, Kurotsume jumped up into a nearby tree and laid down on one of the higher branches. The orange sunlight that never seemed to go away reflected off the sides of the cliffs, giving them the appearence of being on fire. Through an openning in the tree limbs, Kurotsume saw a small flock of ravens soaring over the valley. He wondered to himself what it would be like to actually fly. The two clans of Kagegakure had it so good. They could experience the joy of flight that mankind has strived to experience for countless centuries. In a way, he envied the clans, but the Chikarasu bore the price of having to be secretive about it, and the Koumori were blind as bats. He figured he wasn't so bad off. After all, nobody could wield a scythe like he could, and his mastery of the village's infamous Dark Style Jutsu was top notch.
He laid there, looking out over the blazing cliffs for what seemed like hours. After a while, he'd lost track of the time. When the sun remains in the same spot, one can never be too sure how long they've been here. He closed his eyes for a moment and before long, had fallen asleep.

- - - - - -{Enters From Bat Vill.} Kaoru's rosed lips curled into a smirk. Her target was in sight. She just had to stay quiet. Her wings flapped silently and she began to fly lower. Gripping Ra, her giant hammer. Creeping closer to the branch where her victom was resting.... Then-
"HAMMER SLAP!"
WHAM
She knocked Kuro straight out of the tree from a rush of chakra shooting out of Ra once she hit him flat out the face. She stood on the branch that he was flung out of and laughed at his pain. Then squinted. "You're in pain, right?" She had a hard time seeing. What she wouldn't give to see him doubled over in pain she inflicked right now. She grinned. "If not, I could always hit you again! And I will!"

Of all the people to wake up to, Koumori Kouru. Kagegakure's resident shrew stood in the tree, her mocking laughter raining down on Kurotsume. How the academy saw fit to place them in the same squad was completely beyond him. Still, she had power, and he knew it. The last thing he wanted was another hit from Ra, so he tried to be polite.
"How's it going Kaoru?" he said trying to hold back his urge to fire back a sarcastic comment at his teammate. "Can't a guy take a nap in this village? Heh heh..." He had a double take and suddenly was slowly trying to back away from the tree. Knowing Kaoru as long as he had, she'd find a way to take that the wrong way and probably hit him again. While getting away from the tree, he tried to get far away from the cliff as well.

- - - - - -Kaoru snorted. "Not when that guy is you." She rolled her eyes and swang Ra so it was resting on her shoulder. From the way she was standing on the branch, Kuro had a perfect eyeful of Kaoru's panties. She had done this on purpose. If he called her on it, she could hit him. Then call him a pervert. She set him up like this all the time. She even wore her frilly pair. Plus her skirt was made to show off her body to distract perverted enemies.

One would think that after all these years, Kurotsume and his strategic mind would catch on to what she was doing. But, he was a guy after all, and as such of course his eyes subconsiously looked up into the tree. "All this time...and you're still as indecent in the mind as ever. How do you sleep at night?"
As a shocking after thought, he realized just what Kaoru was trying to do. Naturally, he wouldn't want to get hit again. He quickly made his way to the tree's shadow and hastily performed hand signs. "Shadow Gate Jutsu..." he muttered. The shadow darkened and Kurotsume began to sink into it. Hopefully he would be able to leave before Kaoru even got the chance to locate him.

- - - - - -Kaoru smirked when she heard his words. And the fuzzy blob that was Kuro started to panic. She could see him preforming some kind of Jutsu. "NOT. SO. FAST. PERV."
She jumped from the branch and, in mid-air, swung Ra. "Mighty Hammer Slap!" She took out almost half the trees in the area. Sending them all shooting off the cliff. Unless by miracle, Kuro was sure following the falling trees.
The girl in red flapped about to find the remains of the boy she surely killed. "No. He can't die. He's like an annoying cockroach." She laughed to herself. That only meant one thing. She could hit him again. Giving up on her seach, she landed on the cliff edge. Resting Ra on her shoulder.
Now she was bored.

The sadistic little "princess" got her wish. Kurotsume was on his way to the bottom of the valley with all the trees Kaoru just drove from the ground. His head hurt like hell. Using a tecnique that packs that much chakra behind it was a little much, even for her. Ignoring the throbbing in his skull, he brought his hands in front of him and performed the "Tora" hand sign.
He muttered a couple of words under his breath and instantly, darkness ran from all the shadows on his clothes and anywhere else on him. It materialized in the palm of his hand and exploded into the form of a scythe. The blade shot forth and Kurotsume wasted no time in jamming it into the side of the cliff. He hung there for about half a minute, just dangling. Needless to say, he was pissed. He slashed sideways and made a small crevase just big enough to stand on. He then brought the scythe to his shoulder much like Kaoru had done with her hammer.
"Triple Hellflame Fissure!" he said as he swung the massive blade towards the cliffside. Upon impact, three columns of flames ran up the cliff and rupsured everything until the top. Kurotsume leapt up and landed right near where Kaoru stood. Without a second thought, he raised the pointed tip of his scythe up to Kaoru's throat. "Now THAT was just plain rude!"

- - - - - -Kaoru rolled her eyes and looked Kuro straight in the face. Unfazed by the large weapon dangling at her throat. "I'm the rude one? Who's the one pointing a sharp object at a defenceless girl?" Alright. Defenceless was pushing it. She could kick Kuro's a** in a second.
But now wasn't the time for fighting. It was time to break the other's ego. "So Pansy. What the hell were you doing sleeping in a tree? A bed doesn't suit your deligate back?" She smirked as she smacked away the Scythe out of her way then wondered over to a tree she hadn't destroyed. "Not that I care, but you'll give yourself a backache." She thought about it some then added, "Actually, I could abuse that."

Why Kaoru enjoyed these little squables so much was unknown to him, but he always wound up getting caught in the moment whether he tried not to or not. "I happen to enjoy the peace and quiet of this place. It's the best place to get away from any orders our leader might want to bark at me! The air here in pretty moist too. It should work wonders for your complection if YOU came more often."
He made a motion almost as if crushing his scythe handle in his grip and it dispersed into darkness and faded into the air. He found a good place to sit on a rock that Kaoru blew the top off of, making it almost like a chair. "How about you? What's a shrew like you doing here? If you came just to bug me, you need to get a life."

She yawned as she untied her hair. Frick'in hair ties were pulling at her brains. "So where is Sensei Kuro-purin?" She asked cheerfully. She had added a girl's nickname to his name. Knowing he would flip sh!t.

"P-Purin!?" Kurotsume was about ready to bring out his scythe again. Before he even had the chance, he stopped short, taking Kaoru's question into consideration. "Where's Sensei? That a trick question? Unless you went grave-robbing for rare jewelry again, I'd assume he's still under the Heros' Memorial Shrine. Why? You need his body for something?"

She stood up and pretended to aim low. "Hmm. It's easy to miss, considering the size..." She joked about his manhood. Then flipped the hair from her eyes with a shake of her head. "Kuro-purin~" She mocked.

"Oh, you're not getting to me Kaoru..." he said as he ignored the manhood jokes and tried and failed miserably to free his arms from the cards. Physical strength was never his strong point; hacking things to pieces was. As he grew more and more agitated with pulling his arms free, he couldn't help but notice Kaoru's mocking laughter. "What the hell do you make these cards out of!? Forget it." he muttered as he struck a hand sign with his hand before his sadistic teammate could toss another card. "Bunshin no Jutsu."
Two clones appeared and each grabbed a card. After a few hard tugs, they came out and Kurotsume was irritated, having two holes in his jacket. He blew it off within a few seconds. He was just as bored as she was; far too bored even to start an argument with her. He sat there, in silence for what seemed like minutes before smirking and making a suggestion. "Considering we're both technically on standby, what's say we go to another village? You do enjoy having fun at others' expense, and I hear Suna is nice this time of year."

From the horizon, a faint black figure sped up past the clouds. To those with a good sense of sight, one could see a girl with giant raven wings flying across the sky, presumably Chikarasu since they were really the ONLY ones who had wings besides the Koumori.
Suddenly, Yuzuki dived down from her altitude and spearheaded onto the cliffs below her. She was just about a few feet from crashing into the cliffs when she suddenly outstretched her wings which stopped her rapid descent down to a gentle glide but that didn't stop her momentum as the wind that she had gathered behind her when she flew rushed past her and blew onto the ground, scattering rocks and other debris everywhere.
"Now that was a rush." Yuzuki muttered as a slight grin came to her face. Hopefully, no one from her clan saw what she just did for using her wings for leisure purposes like that would be a direct slap against the vow of secrecy that every Chikarasu member had to take. This is the main reason as to why Yuzuki prefers to have her aerial escapades near the Twilight cliffs. It was high, it was secluded, and nobody was around most of the time.
After a few minutes of gliding, she finally reached the ground. She retracted her wings as they were slowly absorbed into the Chikarasu girl's body, through the use of a hidden seal tatoo engraved on Yuzuki's back, and put on her chestplate afterwards so as to secure the seal. Afterwards, she lay down on the grass near the cliffs as she gazed into the clouds high above her head. Kaze, her scout raven who had just arrived, slowly perched itself up on a tree near its master and looked up to the sky as well as if trying to mimic the Chikarasu girl.
