[why must i be punished by] Faerlie?[The name is] Severus || Tobias || Snape[Just call me] Professor Snape. Sir. [Do not call me] anything else.[Whatever; you say:] petty, vindictive, and able to bear grudges for enormous lengths of time, universally disliked (except by Slytherin students of course) mainly due to the fact that he's so fundamentally dislikeable. [i know the truth] "he was quite a brilliant wizard and potion maker, an accomplished Occlumens and Legilimens, and a man who was (rightfully) totally and unquestioningly trusted by Albus Dumbledore."[obviously a] male [and very much for the] no one.[Professor of] potions[birthday] 9th January, 1960 [to the sign] capricorn [aged] 30[years at hogwarts] 7 (( based on his biography))[parents] Eileen Prince and Tobias Snape [bloodline] Half-and-half[my wand] 8.75 [inches long, made of] Oak [wood, with a core of] kappa heartstring[patronus] doe.[pet] no. [named] nothing.[on the outside] Snape has a shallow carved face, with some wrinkles showing years of wear and tear that no normal human being should have had to face alone. His nose is hooked and crooked, possibly from it being broken many times when he failed to do the deed asked of him by the dark lord. His hair is oily and lays on his head. He doesn't brush it, he can't bear to look in the mirror to see the monster he became while under the dark lord's rule. His skin is pale and scarred as a result of long sleeves and devious work. The lack of sun. Dark cirlces sometimes creep under his eyes from another sleepless night.
On his left forearm is the permanent reminder of what he used to be. The symbol of a death eater tattooed for all the world to see, hidden by dark, long sleeves worn in the cool dungeons of his potions classroom. His clothing is sophisticated, dark and mysterious, tailored to fit, to be comfortable, to show that he is indeed a human being. His teeth are crooked and yellowed from years of being away from proper dental care. [my history is mine] "Severus Snape was, at face value, a very unpleasant man. He delighted in using his position as a senior teacher at Hogwarts to continually bully students whom he disliked and blatantly favour his own house. He was petty, vindictive, and able to bear grudges for enormous lengths of time. Snape was universally disliked (except by Slytherin students of course) mainly due to the fact that he was so fundamentally dislikeable. Yet on the other hand, he was quite a brilliant wizard and potion maker, an accomplished Occlumens and Legilimens, and a man who was (rightfully) totally and unquestioningly trusted by Albus Dumbledore. Let us not forget, he was the only man ever to have successfully defected from the ranks of the Death Eaters.
Snape, like Sirius Black, came from a very unhappy home. His father was domineering and possibly violent towards his wife Eileen Prince. Snape witnessed their arguments as a child and grew up in a house where he undoubtedly felt insecure and on edge, making the young Severus miserable, lonely, and socially inept. It was probably for this reason that he chose to spy on the young Lily Evans (who lived near to Spinner's End, where he lived) instead of attempting to make friends with her in a conventional way. He, of course, knew he was a wizard and had been told all about the magical world, so after watching this girl whose sister wanted to quash the abilities she did not truly understand herself, he could not resist but reveal himself and inform her of the reason for them. Not understanding the connotations of what he meant, she was affronted by being called a "witch" and took it as an insult, glaring at him as she walked off.
Evidently, she eventually listened to him in the end, and accepted his friendship, as they began to spend time together, and he told her what he knew about the magical world. One day, he was telling her about Dementors and the consequences of breaking wizarding law, when it emerged that Petunia had been listening from behind a tree. She insulted Snape, asking him whether he was wearing his mother's blouse, and in his rage, Snape (possibly unwittingly) caused a branch from the tree overhead to almost fall on her. Lily was angry that Snape could nearly have harmed her sister, and once again left in anger.
Snape may have exacerbated the already-worsening relationship between Lily and her sister. Whether sneaking in Petunia's room or not is unknown, but one day he caught sight of an envelope bearing the Hogwarts crest, and curiosity got the better of him. He and Lily read the letter, which was a request from Petunia to attend Hogwarts, together, and it became further fuel for an argument when Lily was leaving for her first journey on the Hogwarts Express. Snape, not overly concerned with the siblings' fight, encouraged her to look forward to Hogwarts, and expressed a confidence that she would join Slytherin. This provoked a hostile reaction from James Potter, thus laying the foundations for what would become an increasingly bitter feud.
By the time he entered Hogwarts, he already knew more curses than most seventh-years, testimony not only to his unhappy upbringing but also to his genius. While a student at Hogwarts, Snape dubbed himself "The Half-Blood Prince", a play on words involving both his heritage and his mother's maiden name.
When Snape started at Hogwarts he was easy prey for the much older Lucius Malfoy, who took him under his wing from the moment he was Sorted and introduced him into his circle of friends, almost all of whom became Death Eaters. Snape also found himself a target for the equally talented but obnoxious James Potter and Sirius Black, who picked on him mercilessly. Snape's escape from his unhappy family situation into Hogwarts brought him no relief - he went from one wretched life to another. His only respite came from Lily, his fascination with the Dark Arts and his association with people like Lucius.
Snape followed the only people who had ever given him any sense of belonging - his group of Dark Arts-obsessed Slytherin friends - far further into the realms of Dark magic than sense should have allowed. Other than them, Lily and Snape remained friends for many years at Hogwarts, but she showed particular disapproval to his Slytherin friends. She considered the actions of Mulciber and Avery (later to become Death Eaters) to be evil, and tried to dissuade Snape from the use of Dark Magic. However, her discourses did not work and Snape continued to affiliate himself with these people. In this situation, Snape found himself impossibly torn. With a presumably terrible home life, he had to seek what comfort he could at Hogwarts. Friendships with the fellow Slytherins were easy, as he had always had a tendency towards believing that pure-bloods were superior, and a fascination with powerful magic (such as the Dark Arts). However, he was fast growing to love Lily Evans, although she was not aware of the strength of his feelings at the time.
After his Defence Against the Dark Arts O.W.L., Snape was rounded on by James and Sirius, and though a duel sparked up between them, Snape quickly lost his wand. Lily, on seeing them humiliating Snape in front of a crowd, leapt to his defence, but he shouted that he did not need the help of a "Mudblood". The usage of this word marked the end of their friendship and this, in turn, helped lead to one of the worst choices that Snape could possibly have made. He became a Death Eater.
It was this new role as one of Lord Voldemort's followers that led him to an unexpected place shortly after he left Hogwarts - the Hog's Head Inn. Snape was at the Hog's Head on that fateful night in 1980 when Dumbledore interviewed Sybill Trelawney for the post of Divination teacher. In fact, Snape was lurking just outside the door to Trelawney's room, eavesdropping, when the Seer made her infamous prophecy concerning the downfall of Lord Voldemort. Unfortunately for him, Snape only heard the first half of the prophecy before he was discovered and ousted from the Inn by the bartender, Aberforth Dumbledore. Snape took the information back to the Dark Lord, who deduced that the boy who posed him danger was Harry Potter, the son of his beloved Lily. Desperate and frantic, Snape pleaded with Voldemort to spare Lily's life, who evidently said that he could do this. Not entirely reassured by his words, however, Snape secretly spoke with Albus Dumbledore (who showed considerable contempt for the young man), warning him of the attack and begging him to save her. Despite their attempts, the Potters were betrayed by Peter Pettigrew, and from this came the murders of James and Lily Potter, the failed attack on Harry, and the downfall of Lord Voldemort.
Consumed by grief, Snape returned to Dumbledore, having pledged that he would do "anything" for the protection of Lily Potter, and allowed himself to be drawn into protecting her son, Harry. Despite showing considerable distaste at simultaneously having to protect the son of James Potter, his love superseded this emotion and he committed himself to this task. His one condition was that his feelings for Lily should never be discovered, and although Dumbledore showed dismay at having to conceal the "best" of Snape, he agreed. Albus trusted him unwaveringly from that point on. Snape apparently used his Occlumency skills to hide his true intentions from his former master and spied for the Order of the Phoenix. Ironically, certain others - including Harry - remained suspicious of Snape's true intentions and loyalties.
Around the same time as Snape approached Dumbledore about Lily, he asked Dumbledore for a teaching position at Hogwarts. Snape wished to draw on his expertise and first-hand experiences and teach Defence Against the Dark Arts (DADA). While Dumbledore was moved to offer Snape both a second chance and a teaching position, he both knew the Cursed nature of the job and feared the DADA position would bring out the worst of Snape's personality, so instead offered him the position of Potions Master. Grudgingly, Snape accepted the position, but he made no secret of his desire to teach DADA and reapplied for the position every year (as Hogwarts goes through DADA teachers quite rapidly). Dumbledore inexplicably denied Snape, even when the only alternative was to have the Ministry of Magic force its own choice of teacher upon Hogwarts. As such, Snape remained in the post of Potions Master for some [odd] years."* [what emanates] "Snape is generally depicted as having a dour and intense personality. He is cold, calculating, precise, sarcastic, bitter, and displays a strong dislike of Harry and often insults him by insulting his father, James Potter. As the series progresses, it is revealed that his treatment of Harry stems from Snape's bitter rivalry with James when they were in school together. In particular, James and Sirius Black bullied Snape, which according to Alan Rickman caused the already lone boy to further "shut himself in". Rowling further described the young Snape as insecure and vulnerable: "Given his time over again [Snape] would not have become a Death Eater, but like many insecure, vulnerable people he craved membership of something big and powerful, something impressive. He was so blinded by his attraction to the dark side he thought Lily would find him impressive if he became a real Death Eater."
The adult Snape, on the other hand, is shown very self-assured and confident of his abilities to a degree that Rickman described as ”full of himself.” Director David Yates said Snape is a character with gravitas, authority and power. Snape typically displays a very calm and collected demeanour and is in control, rarely at a loss for words or taken off guard. However his temper is sometimes short where Harry is concerned and positively flares dealing with his erstwhile tormentor Sirius and when accused of cowardice. His otherwise impassive and aloof attitude seems to stem from his belief that people who can't control their emotions are weak.
Like some other prominent members of Slytherin house, Snape is shown a clever and cunning wizard. He is intelligent and has a keen analytical mind. Rowling in an interview adds that Snape is immensely brave, and when asked if she considers Snape a hero, replied: "Yes, I do; though a very flawed hero. An anti-hero, perhaps. He is not a particularly likeable man in many ways. He remains rather cruel, a bully, riddled with bitterness and insecurity — and yet he loved, and showed loyalty to that love and, ultimately, laid down his life because of it. That's pretty heroic!"&[likes] * Lily [still] * Dark Arts * Books * Playing favorites * Slytherins[dislikes] * Any and All Gryffindors * The Marauders. * Dumb Questions. * His father. * Start of term feast. a lot. * THE DARK LORD.[other/misc.] Nothing as of now.

[Every Breath You Take] AislinnSelene [You Shall Address Me As . . . ] Minerva Adaira McGonagall [I wont answer to anything but] Minerva, Professor, or any variant of the two[First Impression] a no nonsense woman who love torturing children with her swift reinforcement of rules and no sense of humor in the least. [A Deeper Look] A strong woman, who cares deeply for the particularly for the students in her house, who just wants things to run as smoothly as possible. [Hmph! I most certainly am a] Girl [What catches my eye happens to be] boys [I am the] Deputy Headmistress/Transfigurations Teacher [I was born on] October 4, 1925 [Under the sign] Libra [If you must know, I am] 65 [Its been] 34 years since I came to Hogwarts [Those I owe life to] Aurelia and Maon McGonagall [bloodline] Pureblood [wand] 10 inches [inches/centimeters long, made of] Virola [wood, with a core of] Chimera hair [patronus] tabby cat (with spectacle marks) [Sure looks good to me]
Quote: Professor McGonagall has dark hair which she pulls into a bun, wears glasses, and is frequently dressed in tartan plaids. [Lesson Learned] past and present, at least three paragraphs [I should tell you]
Quote: McGonagall has a stern exterior, keeping her classes strictly controlled and following the rules closely, yet has a warm heart and cares deeply for her friends and students. Known for teaching challenging classes. She did not break rules or tolerate misbehavior. She also refused to favor her own house however, McGonagall cares deeply about Gryffindor’s success. She's a tough woman. Underneath her stern exterior, it was always clear that McGonagall cared deeply for her students. Her first instinct is to protect them at all times, and she could become quite emotional when they were hurt. Even at Voldemort’s first defeat she did not celebrate, but instead mourned at the passing of James and Lily. McGonagall had little patience for less competent colleagues. A sarcastic wit came out, for instance, in talking with Lockhart or Trelawney; though she was willing to defend even Trelawney. McGonagall had a great admiration and trust for Albus Dumbledore , passionately defending him and being more than willing to fight on his behalf. Minerva McGongall is an Animagus, able to turn into a cat with markings around the eyes, similar to her square spectacles. Her Patronus is also a cat. She traditionally performs the Sorting ceremony at the Welcoming Feast. [[UNDER CONSTRUCTION]]* All "quotes" from HP Lexicon. ;D
