Contrary to its name, this is not a religious place. It is actually where Kage shinobi come to sign contracts with their summoned supporters. In the back of the temple is a training facility in which one is locked for five days. They are expected to defeat any and all chalenges that await them here and come back alive. Naturally, this facility is restricted to anyone under the rank of Chuunin. The ninja who serves as the Yamikage's Eyes, named "Envy" holds he record here, having defeated over a thousand trials in his five day training session.
