Chance stands watch in the Crystal Tower. "They say this crystal maybe responsible for the field around Safe Haven. If that is so why can myself and the other mage guardians draw power from it? It makes no sense." Chance began to feel hungry, after all he has been up there all day. "I know I shouldn't leave but I'm sure nothing will happen if I go out for a quick bite."

Rabbit and Coyote enter through the window in the tower. "Excuse me, but I couldn't help but hear you mention food. I'm hungry! Do you have anything to eat?" mrgreen
Rabbit brushes past Coyote and addresses Chance. "You must have a pretty good view from up here. Would you by any chance have seen a demon - the one they call Soren?" stare

Chance was startled by Coyote and Rabbit. "Who are you and how did you get in here? Wait you must be the new guys they sent to releave me from tower duty. Well then, If you don't mind waiting ten minutes I could grab you something from the market." He responded to coyote. "Demons, I see Demons, Angels and fellow Humans all day. I am mostly in this tower so I don't catch many name, speaking of which what are yours?" He replied to rabbit.

"Well, I suppose I could wait about ten minutes for food...so long as it's good food." Coyote settles down in the most comfortable chair he can find. wink
Rabbit looks up at Chance. "I'm Rabbit, and he's Coyote. We were pursuing someone, but Coyote got hungry and decided to stop in some place to look for something to eat...and that place happened to be here. What's your name, and what is this place?" rolleyes

Chance smiled and looked at rabbit. "My name is Alex but most people call me Chance. I don't know why but they do. This place it the almighty Tower of Safe Haven. It contains a crystal that seems to power the force field that surrounds the city. In fact, the others when to the gate to investigate a disturbance. My be they saw your demon. But make sure no one comes in and I'll bring you something good." replied Chance to rabbit and Coyote.

Coyote salutes. "Right-o! You can trust us to hold down the fort while you're gone." He settles deeper into the comfortable chair and grins at Chance. biggrin
Rabbit chooses a high perch that enables him to keep a good look-out. "Thanks. And let us know if you find out anything about that disturbance." smile

Chance returns ten minutes later with a bag of food. "Hey I'm back and the towers in one piece. Thanks I y'all one." Chance joined them on the meal of whatever Coyote didn't take while Chance was talking.

Coyote notices Chance still somehow got food to eat. "Drat, I missed some," he thinks to himself. Out loud he says, "So, did you find anything of interest while you were out and about and taking so long to get food that I thought I was going to starve to death?" xp
Rabbit has his ears turned toward their conversation, but his eyes are still keeping a lookout. ninja

"Well there was some kind of demon threatening the tower and the crystal it protects. Appearently they gave up and left. The other wizards are on their way back so you guy might have to leave, they're very strict about strangers in the tower." Chance look at his hand and noticed Coyote had swiped it. "Hey I'm leaving too when they get here, I'm leaving Safe Haven to find the 'Treasure of Life'. It's said to have a gem in it called the Stone of Life which is worth millions! When the war ends I'll be rich. Wanna come?"

Coyote is sad that there is no more food. He laments, "Why is the food always gone?" gonk
Rabbit perks up his ears at what Chance said. "What exactly does this Stone of Life do? Do you think it could stop the war? We were going to tail Soren, but this might be more interesting." surprised

"Well, some people say it is the protector of all living creature, including humans. Kinda like this crystal does for Safe Haven. But I don't beleive any of that bolonga. All I know is that anyone that gets a hold of it and sells it can become filthy rich." Chance packed up his things and was ready to go. "You two coming? Just think, never-ending piles of food, or carrots or whatever."

Coyote springs out of the comfy chair and bounds over to Chance. "Lead the way, O Fearless Leader!" mrgreen

"You two are wierd." Chance said as he lead his new freinds toward the gates. "Before we go we need supplies. There is a war going on and we don't want to be stuck in it, nor to we want to be casualties of it. We need food, tents, weapons or sheilds, and more food. All of it won't be in Safe Haven so we can at least get some food until we hit the next city." Chance led them to the market to buy food.
