So I just got back from seeing Sweeney Todd, and while I'm not the pickiest person in the world... I loved it.
From the vocals to the aesthetics to the plot (which I liked before the movie anyway), I really enjoyed this movie! My favorite gory movie of all time, I say!
Now, for those of you who might really critique a movie... I will say that much of it is very predictable. On the other hand, some parts had me think that they were predictable, when they would turn out otherwise. The ending was somewhat unfulfilling -- generally speaking, that is -- but I was satisfied none the less.
Gore, humor, music, dramatic makeup, and a Victorian-era backdrop?
I may be cutting this review short (no pun intended), but I may as well simply say: if you like Tim Burton films, even more so if you enjoy Johnny Depp and especially Helena Bonham Carter as much as I do, go see this!
Sweeney Todd is smokin'! :]
(I would swoon if he approached me so closely, meat-cleaver in hand or not!)

Might I just add how this movie has struck me with quite an odd thought.. considering I never really realized just how attractive I find a man in blood is.
I think I might be the slightest bit disturbed!
I can imagine few others who would watch him stab Alan Rickman's throat out and be biting their lip all the while!
