He was quite a bit heavier than he had been, more hair over his body, and oh yes- no longer human. When he cried out, it was hardly fitting of his body. While he was in the body of a grown stag, his voice was that of his true self- that of a twelve year old child. He threw himself upwards in another attempt to stand himself up, hooves catching the bark of a tree. His knees knocked together as he pulled himself upwards, leaning against the trunk to get himself back to his hind legs. The ground was so much farther away, he observed, blinking his eyes to adjust to the new range of sight. rather than a forward-set pair of eyes, his eyes were farther apart, he had a wider range. His hearing was sharper, and scents came rushing at him, translating themselves in his mind. Everything all at once sent his head spinning and his knees weaker. With another cry he fell back to the ground, leaving the stag on his back with a weak whimper.
How could this happen!? He'd been happy enough. Working on his skills as a young hunter under an older man of the village. This was just insane...he'd become just what he sought to hunt.
