Mine would have to be the Epideme virus. Who wouldn't love to have a wise cracking virus in their system? Ok, so it kills you but while you're infected you could have an amusing conversation with it lol.

sadly, i am slightly biased in this regard, as my vote goes to Don Warrington's hologram character in the episode of season 5 in which Rimmer finds an entirely holographic ship. Don Warrington is an actor i adored in Rising Damp, and that carried over to when i saw him in RD.
