He walked 'round the ship's port, that lanky chum
Looking to see if there was any sign of life
He had seen the booze was gone, there was no more rum
It seems the pirates have left this world to find more strife

The man bowed his head and uttered a short prayer
He looked around and stroked his beard now hoary
The ship, he imagined, had ascended into the air
To sail the seas of the heavens, to gain more glory

The sound that filled the air, was one of a solemn sigh
He left the port, and continued upon his travels
One day, he hopes, to see the ship return from on high
To have the mystery of their disappearance unraveled

To sail the seas of this mortal earth
To once again fill it with mirth.
