Are there any game consoles you can't stand??? Discuss...... w/o offending the people in this guild who might play these consoles.
Anyway, I can't stand the wii. So many people say the technology is revolutionary, but I think it is technology where it is not needed. Video gaming is about hitting buttons on your controller, not motion of the controller, and not crappy games like Pokemon: Battle Revolution. Most wii users will even admit that they play their wii for a week, and then it just sits there. Did I mention it's graphics suck???

I didn't really like the Nintendo Gamecube....there were about only 2 dozen good games for it (honorable mentions: Metroid Prime series, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes). Other than those and select others, the Gamecube got the short end of the stick as far as good quality games. The Gamecube didn't put as much online capabilities as it could/should have. The graphics were on par when you put them up to the original X-box and Playstation 2, but for some reason, there was just no flare to it.
On a side note: Nintendo purposly made the Wii with graphics average. There were two reasons for doing this (although sometimes they are stupid even to me). One is that older gamers don't want to get overwhelmed by the graphics, isn't that why they didn't buy the 360 or the PlayStation3? Two is that higher graphic capabilities would equal higher prices on the Wii, something Nintendo didn't intend to do. The Wii has some decent games so far, such as Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Super Mario Galaxy. Though I have to agree that sometimes my Wii just sits there days on end rofl

Theres not really any gaming console that I don't like. What I don't like are the fanboys. The annoying ones. As long as a fanboy can make good statements I enjoy having some, mostly friendly, discussions with them. wink
But yeah, I have my downs with some consoles as well. Like the WII I have at home. I think its awesome and fun to use, but it really ticks me off that the games get out in japan, half of those games get to USA and then Europe get nothing... Just the big titles like Mario Galaxy, Umbrella Chronicles and Metroid. And thats although there is a shitload of games in Japan. Yes I know Japan is very patriotic with their games and they many families have small houses, so small consoles work better for them, but really, I'd like to see Nintendo do just a little bit more for their customers in the rest of the world because really, they have the exact same problem with Gamecube and NDS.

I also hate the wii...so i'm agreeing with you blood (i'm calling you blood okay?) ...they say "oooh, we're nintendo, we make everything new revolutionary, nyegh nyegh nyegh" ....I love nintendo, but the last revolutionary thing they did was the DS IMO. Like everyone said, graphics are bad compared to the 360 and PS3, games tend to be fun at first, but get lame very fast... and isn't video games supposed to be about relaxing, not wasting your energy on whacking the remote in every direction with a chance of hurting yourself?

I never liked the original Xbox much even though I bought it.
The reason is, well, I'm a very patriotic Madden player and I play it for several hours on-end, a few times for at least two days in a row(I like Madden!) and the Xbox scratched up the disc and I couldn't play it no more. It had these white looking rings in the disc that made it unplayable.
Then there is that whole "Paying for online" that I can't stand anywhere. And my first Xbox was too 'over-played' and its harddrive burned up.
Thus, I went from Microsoft to Sony where my gaming needs were met with games like MGS and free online play with games like Madden.

"I heard when home comes out sony is going to charge for playstation network," - No, I know you'd like ps3 to join in with the fun of charging it's users to play online, but sony dosn't do that. "I'd rather play the awesome gameplay of xbox live than the mediocre gameplay of playstation network," -Online play is online play you retard, you'd just like yours to be better because you pay $50 more a year than I do... "Xbox is better because it plays the games better." - ....once again, nothing to say to you
