((I guess this r/p would be affiliated with my character Aenea in the other threads. Anyone can join, the more the merrier. Just abide by the guild's rules.))

The winter had been a harsh one to the land. It stole the crops, the cattle, the people. Hundreds of the weak fell by the snowy white hand of death, causing grief to swamp the people. Most did not have the strength to continue. What good would it be if another winter would come and take what they had worked for? were their thoughts. The spring's crops were in poor quality as more graves were dug for those who died now from diesease or starvation. It was something that the nobles turned their eyes away from for they themselves did not have anything to care for. Their own gold had been taken to buy more seeds which molded and became unusable. The only thing keeping them in their fortresses were their ancient blood that no one dared to challenge.

Until a certain mage came to the villages.

No one knew of the mage's true identity nonetheless the mage's name. They knew not of the face that hid under a heavy dark cloak and turned their eyes when they caught a glimpse of cracked lips, a pale chin, a lock of hair. They knew that once this mage left, the nobles were more willing to help give more encouragement to work, leaving their silks and working alongside their people. Some called it a miracle, some a curse. What person could have enough power to pursaude nobles who had been fed with a golden spoon to work in the fields?

*~*~*

Aenea was spread out on her thick black cloak in the middle of some meadow. She had not seen a single person for miles nor a village, town or peasant. She was surrounded by a sea of blossoming wild flowers in every color. White moths flirted around her face before dancing in the warm breeze of the coming spring. It was still chilly, but only enough to shiver once in awhile.

The mage closed her silver eyes, kissing a lock of silver hair with her lush red lips. It was a lazy day. The azure sky had wisps of cloud floating on the wind as an occasional bird called out to its flock. Another breeze went through the meadow, causing a wave of petals and stems to brush against her billowing robes. She had long discarded her boots some distance away, letting her feet be free of their leathery holds. She sighed, reopening her eyes.

She had been searching for something, yet she did not know what. She had seen centuries with her still young eyes, learned things that masters died of old age trying to learn, mastered the arts of her magic, yet... something was still missing. A piece of herself was gone, unfilled by her knowledge. She had spent years trying to find what it was, yet no master could answer her questions, no anicent books could give her any clues. She sighed again, watching as two birds frockled with one another and then disappear into the surrounding woods. "Maybe it is something," she said to the nothingness around her in a husky voice, "I can not learn, but must experience...?" Aenea sat up stiffly, running a slim hand through her waist length hair. She bit her lower lip, thinking. "There must be a stream of some sorts nearby... I need to scrub my hair...." The mage continued to stroke the locks. She had nothing with her except her magic and that did no good to hair had that had been magiked many times before.

Aenea stood up, pulling the robe around her neck expertly. She wished she had some kind of companion yet knew that would do her no good. She had not been with a person, intimately or normally, since she could remember. A growl of unhappiness escaped her lips. She hated being alone yet craved it at the same time. The breeze blew past more violently, bringing the scent of rain, blowing her hair all around her like a veil of silver magic.

Werlis is bathing in a stream not far into the woods. It's close to the meadow. Closer to the open space than he truly likes, but getting clean seems more important at the moment. He wants the blood, the gore, off of his skin. Out of his hair. The blood and gore he can be rid of and it will give him some small measure of comfort. It wont take away what has happened or the screams that echo in his mind.

His clothes are discarded on the bank and hanging on a bush. He's stripped down to nothing, having washed his articles of clothing and his weapons before moving onto his own body.

He's already scrubbed clean up to his torso. His pants and boots had kept most of the blood off him and all the gore, but some blood had managed to soak through to his skin. It had been aggravating to feel the drops slide down his legs where he could not reach them to wipe them away. To feel the blood slide into his boots and down along his feet. It had been maddening. Almost enough to send the berserker into another rage, but there had been no threat and nothing to fight.

The dark haired, dark eyed demon slips under the water for a moment. He stands upright once more, the blood looking fresh upon his flesh once more. The water trailing away from him is stained red and pink. The blood starts slipping down his muscled chest, onto his toned stomach, and into the water. He runs a hand through that shoulder length dark hair of his, coming away with more blood and gore. A sigh escapes his lips as he goes about trying to clean up the rest of himself.

The mage's ears perked and her sense grew wild as she heard the splash of the water, the smell of blood in the wind. Something must have happened before, a fight of some sorts. She pulled the hood over her hair as she started towards the feeling. What was this pounding in her heart? Was it the guilt she felt for not being able to stop this fight or to feel it in her blood? She shrugged, coming to the woods. The sound of water reached her ears and she slowly followed the sound, making sure her small steps made no sound. Aenea came upon the bushes with the man's clothing and a light blush crossed her pale face. She searched for whoever was bathing so openly. Her breath caught as she saw the man and her heart skipped a beat.

Werlis picked this particular part of the stream for its deepness. Even at seven feet tall, the water comes up to his abs. He manages to clean up his torso before giving his full attention to his hair. He pauses for moment, thinking he feels eyes upon himself. Shrugging off the feeling as a passing animal, his hands go back to their work. He sinks down lower to the water to make his job easier, but there is little hope on getting the dark hair clean on his own. A growl of frustration escapes him. The more he scrubs at his hair the dirtier it seems to be.

Aenea bit her index finger. She could help and be discovered, or watch and hope her prescence wouldn't be figured out. The wind shoved her and her robe billowed forward, sending her falling into the stream. She stood, dripping wet, eyes wide as she stared at the man. Nothing she could do could bring her eyes away from his form. "Ah...."

Werlis blinks down at Aenea with his black eyes. He's been interrupted. By a woman. It's been a while since he's stopped to appreciate the sight of a woman, but he takes a moment to do so now. She's wet and her clothing clings to her because of it. She's lovely to look upon and doesn't seem to be a threat. "You know, you should really undress before you bathe. It saves time since you wouldn't have to wait for your clothes to dry." His voice is deep and smooth with a somewhat soothing quality laced into it.

She shivered, feeling his voice weave through her body like a hot cup of tea. It warmed every part of her. Her face burned brightly as she moved her eyes to the water. It was no use, she could still see his reflection. "I... wasn't intending to bathe," she lied, pushing away her clinging hood. She prayed that he wouldn't see through her sad lie knowing that she could not decieve very well. "There was movement and I came to inspect it...." The mage hid a hand behind her back, readying a spell in case there was danger.

Werlis simply raises an eyebrow at her words. Obvious lies. Very obvious. He doesn't call her on them though. He doesn't see what good would come of it if he did. He gives her a small shrug and runs a hand through his wet hair. The hand comes away with blood and dirt. Disgusting. Wont it ever come out? He quickly rinses the hand off in the stream. "Well, now you'll have to dry your clothes. Wouldn't want to be catching a cold out here."

Aenea's body, before her mind could react, went over to him and brushed her own hand through his hair. It came away clean, sparkling with her magic. "I... can help," she whispered, literally looking up at his stunning features. She knew how to rid of such filth for her own locks would sometimes gather the most undesirable blood and mud from her little adventures.

Werlis shivers slightly at the feel of magic coming into contact with him. He reaches up and runs the fingers of his right hand through his hair. He takes his black eyes off the woman to look down at his hand. Clean. He quickly looks back at her. Is she a warlock perhaps? If so, he might very well be stepping into trouble. A small smile does manage to curve his lips though. "Thank you. I probably would have spent all day scrubbing at it."

The mage stepped back with a nervous smile. She takes a piece of her own hair and twirls it around a finger nervously. The blush was returning as she tried to calm her beating heart. "I've found... certain magic that helps hair... through my travels. It comes in handy after a battle or stay at a questionable inn." Aenea giggled a bit but choked on the sound. What in the hells was she doing? She covered her lips and started towards the shore. "I... must leave..." She tripped on her trustworthy (now deemed to burn at this point) and landed face first into the water.

The berserker scoops her up in his arms. "You should be more careful..." His voice is softer now. He realizes that lifting her into his arms, bringing her so close to himself, was a mistake. He hasn't been so close to a woman in a long time. Without even thinking on it or the consequences of his impending actions, he leans his head down to her and captures her lips with his own.

Her thoughts of hoping the water would have taken her life disappeared as she felt this new sensation drowned her mind. Was this a kiss? She found herself closing her eyes and embracing his head closer, kissing back as if she had done this all her long life. Blood pounded through her body, sending feelings she had never felt before throughout herself. This couldn't be magic or else she would have felt it before it engulfed her.

A soft growl escapes the demon's control, entering the woman's mouth. Not even the instinctual part of him had thought she would respond so to his kiss. It's surprising and more enjoyable than he could have thought. He had almost forgotten what it was like to hold someone like this. He deepens the kiss, holding the woman closer to him. He wouldn't have been able to do this if she wasn't in his arms. He's just too tall for such things.

Aenea shivered, feeling the growl vibrating her senses to craziness. She ran her fingers through his now clean hair. She now blessed her annoying cloak for bringing her into such contact with such a man. There were all sorts of flags and bells and whistles going off in her head, but she pushed by them. She liked this new feeling and she wanted to savor it till the end.
