I ask that here, you post any roleplaying tips you may possess. I know that none of us are perfect in the literate art of roleplaying, this is why I'm creating this thread. Just post whatever you feel would be helpful for others.

Yes, well... that's all!

Tip #1 -

Read your post aloud to yourself! When you hear yourself saying the words you've typed up it is much easier to catch your mistakes. Also, it helps you determine if certain lines sound too cheesy as if they were out of a movie.

Tip #2 -

Don't point out the obvious all the time. Just kind of allude to it, you know? Beat around the bush. It makes it more fun for the readers and quite possibly yourself. xd

Tip #3 -

Don't be afraid to use your moderators! We're here to help and quite frankly get bored a lot and yeah I wont babble too much I promise. We help with grammar and plot things quite often and we love love love to answer questions!

Tip #4 -

Spontaneity is your friend. You don't always have to know exactly what you're going to post before you post it. Just try to give yourself a general idea of what's going on in that scene and start typing. It may just come to you! Sometimes the best posts in history weren't thought out at all.

Tip #5 -

Go with the flow. If someone changed the direction of the scene, don't get mad because you were hoping to do a certain something, just GO with it. It makes it more fun, and a lot more creative ideas tend to pop out that way smile

Tip #6 -

Don't fret about spelling and grammatical errors so much that you are unable to even finish typing your post. Just put your mind at ease, finish typing your thoughts and then Preview it. In the Preview go over it and correct and mistakes. Although we would like you to make sure your posts are grammatically correct, you still have time to edit after you post to fix any mistakes you may have missed. Take it easy, yes? Otherwise those creative thoughts will lock up inside your mind and might even be forgotten because you were too caught up in having a perfect paragraph.
