Jensen was grazing a bit away from the rest of the herd. The young corps member proudly lifted his new head of antlers and gazed around, his ears flicking as he listened for anything new. He stamped his feet, spotting a stag he'd never seen before. He threw back his head and pranced over to the other male. "Hello! My name's Jensen!" He greeted warmly, staring at the Althan's large antlers.
He couldn't wait to have antlers like that. He stayed in the shade to keep his skin from sunburning too bad which he found was a constant problem.

"Welcome." The deer anwsered, looking at the young one. He moved his head to have a better sight at him, wondering why did the white deer bother talking to him... But whatever the reason is, politeness is the way to go. "I go by the name of Althan. Or Alth, if you wish. Both are fine."

Jensen wagged his tail. "How did you get antlers like that? My dad had really big ones too! Mine aren't so big..." He pulled them through the dirt and frowned. "I just got excepted into the corps!" He boasted puffing out his chest again. "Alth? That's a cool name!" It seemed the young deer had a nasty case of A.D.D.

The older deer kicked the ground gently. Great, another hyperactive kid. But what could he do? "..they come with age, I guess." He tilted his head a little, catching the sun shine on one of his antlers. Well, he WAS kinda proud of it. You have time to grow yours. And congratulations." And a newbie, too... Just great. What a wonderful day.

"Do you want to uh... knock antlers?" He lowered his and dug his hoof into the dirt. "I want to try them... I saw the other deer doing it while I was a calf... Do you think my antlers are big enough for a harem?" He positioned himself as nature had taught him and shook his head. "My brother won't play with me anymore."
