Oukami walked down one of the main streets of the city, glancing left and right for a food store, or at least one with something wolves would eat. Every single shop he went to and asked the clerk "Do you have anything I can give to wolves?" they looked at him like he had two heads. Finally, he came across a outdoor market that sold raw meat and fish. Oukami dug his hand into his pocket, checking how much money he had with him.
"700 Ryo" he said to himself. Both a pound of meat, and a whole fish went for 30 Ryo each, and Hanaan and Mugen had eight others in their pack. He could get ten pounds of meat and ten fish for 600 Ryo, that way each wolf could get one of each. This would also leave him with 100 left to get something for himself. He walked up to the carts, and got what he needed, carefully putting it into bags. Oukami had never been to fond of handling raw meat, not after he heard what salmanella poisoning can do to a person.
While walking away from the market, he saw a fruit stand just a few feet away. These were imported from other countries, where it was actually warm enough to grow crops. Oukami used the rest of his money on fruits and proceeded out of the city.
As soon as he was beyond the main gate, he closed it, and turned around to see Mugen sitting there wagging his tail. Hanaan typically sent Mugen after Oukami to make sure he got what he was supposed to. After an incident when Oukami was a boy when he forgot to pick up the food, Hanaan always sent Mugen after him. "And here I thought the old girl could trust me by now" he said to Mugen. The wolf came closer to Oukami, and took a couple of the bags from his arms, gripping them in his teeth. He took off back u the mountain and Oukami rushed up after him.
