I just read "Terry Pratchett: Guilty of Literature" and in it they talk about the differences between the original "The Carpet People" that Pratchett wrote when he was 17 and had published in 1971 and the re-written CP published in 1992. I have seen the artwork from the 1971 version, but have yet to find a copy to read. Has anyone here read the 1971 version? Was it a lot different? Feel free to PM me.

I have only been able to find one copy of the Carpet People, and it is the rewritten edition. I have never seen another copy since.
