So to begin, the armed forces are great. They know how to be proficient, efficient, effective and swift. They protect our freedoms and rights.
Now I raise the question, when is it when they have gone too far? You will see all the time tv ads about how they will change your son/daughter in to a better person. Here's what they don't tell ya. Boot camp is hell. In talking with them, you will get them to say "They break you down to build you up" Build us up to what, a lean mean mindless killing machine? You see they don't break you down to the essence of you, they break your spirit. They squash creativity among the lower ranks.
Then what you don't see is the de-tox process in which they have to go through. It is several weeks of intense consueling. No one like counsueling. And most of the time when you get back from de-tox, you still are programmed to kill. I don't understand how the armed forces can stand to live with themselves knowing that when the are done with you, they have left out in socieity a person who has to register as a lethal weapon, carrys a knife at all times and in all places, and has to have a concealed weapons license for thier hands. ans speaking of a leathal weapon, you have to jump through more hoops and do more paper work than a sex offender has to do when they move.
Another question of mine, the returned soldiers, how is it that they can stand to be in normal society and have the knowledge to kill in at least six different ways. Or in six differnt ways with six different and random objects.
And what about the families of the wounded soldeirs. Their wives/family have to look or deal with the physical, emotional, and spiritual scars for which war inflicts. They have deal with looking at it everyday and know that their wive, husband, father, mother, brother, sister ect was wounded out in duty because nations could not get along.
And the families of the dead sildiers, what do they get? Money and a flag. They get a set amount of money in pension from the goverment for only a set amount of time. And at the funeral, the family who hasn't seen their loved one from anywhere from a week to six months or more gets to see only a corpse who is still programmed to kill everything on site. And the corpse will be dressed in military regalia. There have been instances where LDS men were buried in their uniforms, rather than the clothing that LDS men should be buried in. And the families only get to walk away with 1 item, a sign from the goverment of seeking forgiveness. A flag. an american flag. Yes it is a symbol of freedom and rights. But it is also a symbol of death. Isn't it amazing of how a good symbol can also have negative meaning?
So this brings me to my conclusion, You either go in and never come back, or don't go in at all.
