Why did his father want to do something bad to Zuko?
I thought that his mother took his place, but I'm not sure.
And if she did, would she still be alive? What man would kill or order to kill his own wife?

I believe that when fire lord azulon ordered ozai to kill zuko that ursa proposed a plan to ozai to let zuko live if she killed azulon. Since ozai wanted the throne, and as a trusted woman she could easily get close enough to him to stab him fatially.
I'm guessing that he died, she was banished, and is chillaxin in the earth kingdom. I really hope she just didnt up and go to the western air temple like people speculate.

I really hope she just didnt up and go to the western air temple like people speculate. I think so too, but when I do, one question still bothers me though: Is murder being punished by banishment? I thought they were much more severe than that. My alter-ego thinks Ozai "as being the new pimped up Firelord" was directly in charge that moment, sent poor Ursa away, as he could not kill the mother of his two children. (Well he could if he would, I mean this guy kills his own dad in order to get that throne, such a bad boy! mad ) It's really complicated.

I dont know, there was just a lot of rumors that they would find ursa at the western air temple.
I think thats all just blah! She should be in the earth kingdom!

And to be more specific, she should be in one of those little villages, cuz BSS or Omashu are just too big, she could get recognised.

True...But Ba sing Se is TOO big! Anyone could hide there just by living a normal life. I really hope she gets reintroduced into the plot.

I am almost certain she will be reintroduced into the plot. I mean, why would they bring her (metaphorically) back to life? If they aren't going to bring her into the plot, why not just leave her dead?
I think she has joined the White Lotus group thing. Her and Iroh probably saw each other at the meating they had a while ago.
For that matter, I think Iroh has finally joined back up with the White Lotus. (I think) they had planned on Iroh getting put in jail so he could help Zuko. Notice, the second Zuzu goes good, Iroh dissapears.
Wow, I ramble alot.

I believe that death would be the punishment for most for murder. However, Ursa was the Fire Lady. Killing her would be Regicide. So, she had to be banished.
Ursa is Roku's granddaughter.
Roku and Sozin
Azulon and somebody else
Ozai and Ursa
The somebvody else would be in aang and Bumi's generation.

Iroh told Zuko his mother was avatar Rokus daughter in that one episode then got banished awhile after his father became the fire lord

He was told he needed to find out about his Great-Grandfather's demise. Hence why he thought it reffered to Sozin. But Roku is his Great-Grandfather. Not his Grandfather. Thus, Ursa is Roku's Granddaughter.
