I watched it this past Thursday with a couple of older Catholic ladies. They received a newsletter from the Bishop here giving it a bad review, which only heightened their curiosity about the movie and books. Now they want to go out and read the books more than ever, even though they didn't really like the movie. They were confused by the plot and couldn't tell if the animals were real or not. I thought it was pretty good and throwing a lot of plot elements out there kept me interested in what this alternate universe was all about. I think I'll also check out the books at Half Price.

well more or less i liked it but i was bad when compared to the books...and not becuase they changed to muchbut they shartened it,,the movie was an hour and a half long...the shortest movie ive seen in years....so they sped everything up and the really didnt have to.....also they made it far to happy....way to happy...there his dark chronicles for a reason

It did seem really choppy to me. They kept throwing a lot of plot elements at you really fast. I'm surprised they didn't make it longer, like the LOTR movies, or a lot of other epic films these days.
