All of us experience stress or pressure at some or the other time. I use food as a emotional crutch, when I'm under stress. Unknowingly I binge on food which worsens the situation. Especially during exams or in some crunch time. How do you cope up with it??? What do you suggest??

The best thing anyone can do under stress is to simply choose not to stress out. Unfortunately that's also the hardest. I tend to eat junk food, which is really bad.
If I can get 10 minutes or so to just sit down and pay attention to everything I feel, how my toes feel, how my hands feel, what kind of posture I'm sitting in, the sounds I hear, etc, I'm usually OK. If I have time after that I try to do pushups or something.

i usually am VERY good at ignoring stress. when it comes to a situation where it´s getting stressful, i sometimes don´t do anything in the hope it will solve by itself. if this doesn´t work (usually before tests) my chest gets really tight and my heart beats really heavy (i think that´s what you call panik), so i either do something about it or fall asleep sweatdrop

Music is good, coz it's distracting and allows you not to think about anything but the music. In the long run I am pretty bad at dealing with stress... I just procrastinate doing anything about my problem until I can't ignore it or it blows over which is stupid coz it takes much less time to go into it straight away but you keep thinking it's gonna be worse than it is you know? But yea, music is a good way to not think too hard.

I already know what work stress is like. I wonder what school stress will be like.
I think if I make sure to do my assignments as they come in instead of procrastinating on them, I'll avoid most of it.
There's a good way to avoid stress right there. Don't procrastinate. :]

i'm always so stressed out that i don't even notice anymore. mainly from my dad or school or things going on in my life. eventually you learn to put up with the stress... once it numbs over, you really don't notice it anymore. but, because of this, i have trouble sleeping at night. i usually wake up about 5-7 times a night. either because i just can't sleep or i have nightmares. they don't bother me though, because most of the time they're really cool! XD lol. and sometimes they're really weird XD rofl!
so yeah, my best way to cope with stress is to live with it. it's done good for me for a long time. i find that if i'm stressed out i think better, draw better, and actually pay attention to things a lot more. ^_^ so being stressed out isn't all bad XD then again, you should see what i look like in the morinings *shivers* scary XD

The fact that you have live like that scares me a little bit.
I don't think you're as stressed out as you think you are. Maybe before you were stressed but just didn't notice it. The fact that you're aware of it now probably lessens the stress.

The fact that you're aware of it now probably lessens the stress. yeah, it's actually dimmed down a lot from last year. for some reason, after joining this guild i started getting a lot less stressed out. i'm finally getting all A's and B's in my classes ^_^ i've become very cheery and energetic at school and i've had a pretty good life so far ^_^ there're still problems at home though with my dad but i'm able to shake it off. i don't allow myself to break down anymore, i've become a lot stronger. and for that i'm very proud and thankful to everyone here. ^_^ and as a result, things have gotten a lot better! yays! *jumps up and down*

When I get stressed out, which is kind of rare for me, I just don't go on a nice long walk or play video games. Since I work out so much, I really don't get stressed about anything. Also I have discovered it is mad to bottle up your stress and/or emotions. People tend to snap after awhile.
