  Mentha stared down at the balls of fluff nestled around her. She still couldn't quite grasp the fact that these four little bundles of life had come from her. Being a mother was still so new to her, but she merely had to look at them to feel her heart swell in pride. One boy and three girls, one of those a winged like her. Life was, to put it simply, amazing.

Bowie paddle into the den with a large limp trout hanging from his mouth. The large green bear with the eyes of the forest and sky smiled down to they cubs and Mentha. He placed the fish infront of her and looked up into her pink hues. "We did good." It wasn't the classest, or smartest thing he could have said but it was the truth. He loved the cubs, as unexpected as they where.

Mentha nodded at him "I think so." She watched fondly as the little boy stumbled towards his father comically. He's legs seemed to be everywhere but he was slowly getting there. Her stomach grumbled at her as the light odor of the trout hit her nostrils and her nose flared as she inhaled the tantilizing scent. The one downside to having the cubs was that she couldn't just go running out of the den whenever to get a snack or to exercise. Her eyes were locked on the fish now but she tried to hold back "have you eaten yet?"

"When I was at the river. I knew you'd be hungry so this is all yours." Bowie smiled and looked down to the little boy that was making his way over to him. "Have you named them yet?"
((The girl I gave my pick to....well she's not muck of an rper so I just well just cut her out. What about your's?))

Mentha tore into the fish with as much grace as her grumbling stomach would allow. She looked up after eating a bite "Well I think we should name that little one Spicata. The cub was doing good but as she watched he lost his balance and fell. She winced. Please don't let him cry...I can't take much more...
((She's been really busy lately so I dont think I'll ask...we'll just use our cubs I guess))

"That sounds like a good strong name... and how about the girl?" Bowie looked to Mentha, she was in bad shape. "Hey do you want to take off for a bit. I'll take care of the trouble makers." He bent down and picked Spicata up by the scurf of the neck.

Mentha had never felt such feelings of adoration before. Happily she got up, "I think I'll take you up on that, maybe while I'm gone you can think of a name for the little girl." She grabbed the remains of the fish in her jaws and left, stretching her legs and her wings fully in the firt time in what seemed like ages.

Bowie smiled through the fur he held in his mouth and said in a muffled voice. "I will and take all the time you need."After all how hard can they be. He thought the last part knowing how bad a ladies scorn can be. He walked over to the little girl and put her brother down beside her.
The cub opened her eyes and looked to the ball of fuzz that plopped down beside her.

Mentha finished off her fish and then decided to go out for a nice long walk for some sorely needed exercise. Besides, Bowie can certainly take care of those two for a little while
Spicata peered about as he landed on the floor. There was the big one who had just held him, and a little one like himself. And that one was the most familiar. He wandered towards the little one and tripped again, half-falling on his sister.

She let out a yelp as he fell on her. Her small wing fluttered abit and she wiggled throwing him off of her. She sat up and looked around, mum was gone and there was a big green bear with them instead. She didn't like it at all. She let out a wine and started to cry.
Bowie sigh and cooed "It's ok little one. Mommy will be back soon." He said and nuzzled her trying to make he feel better.

Fresh air. Blessed fresh air. Mentha stood, basking in the sunlight. This is what she'd been missing. She felt calm now, but by no means ready to go back.
At the sound of the other furball crying Spicata set up a wail of his own. If one of them wasn't at peace neither of them would be at peace.

Bowie rolled his two toned eyes and sighed. "Right then." He plopped down beside them and pulled them in close, right up next to him so that they could feel him breathing. He hoped this steady rhythm would put them at easy or if nothing else, at least entertain them for more then a minute.
Tala eyes widened. Why was his tummy moving so much?

Spicata was startled out of his wail as he was pulled close to his father. What was this warm creature next to him? But his sister had stopped crying and so he did too. In search of entertainment he poked his father's belly.

"Ouff." Bowie chuckled as he was poked by his son.
Tala looked for one to the other. She smiled wide as she became happy which made her wings flutter. She hopped up on he hine legs so she could push the big ones belly with both paws but she ended up tipping over on her side and landed on her brother.

Spicata found himself on the floor of the cave with his sister squishing him and his mom nowhere to be found. Determined to let the world know his problems he began whimpering, working himself up to the big finale.
Mentha caught a strange smell on a passing breeze, there was a bear in her territory. She got up and began following the scent, there was no way she would let this go unchecked.
