This past weekend a student at my school got shot and killed at McDonalds due some gang related problems with the Bloods and Crips. We had a moment of silence, and I'm expecting a little bit of media tomorrow or Wednesday. This has really desturbed me, because I may not have known the guy, but think: What are his parents going through, the rest of his family, his friends, his teachers, even those who don't know him? It's always a tragedy when a life is lost, but the life of a High Schooler due to gangs? Ludacrous. This is horrible and I am deeply upset by this. What is wrong with the world today....

Sorry that he got killed. It is such a freaking shame that an innocent life was lost. I hate how so many people have no disregard for the lives of others.

I think they should have medal detectors. It's a sad reality that things are getting worse. Now so many people have to live in fear of someone doing something to them. It's so horrible.

i have to make a comment to your "what is wrong with the world today..."
a week and a half ago (December 6th), an 18-19 year old boy went into the Von Maur store in my home town with a rifle, and started shooting people. just randomly. he wasn't after anyone in particular... 9 people were killed. 3 more were injured. afterwards he killed himself.... they said it was because he was depressed and had a lot of bad s**t happening in his life, but you know...
it's almost the same as your story. innocent lives were lost, and for no real reason. the world has truly become a ******** up place to live

Pai, I heard about that. It's just crazy how things are going. No matter how depressed he was I do not see why he had to take out others, too. Sorry to sound like a b***h, but why didn't he just off himself in his freaking room and leave those others alone? I am sorry that he was a tormented soul and yet part of me doesn't because he killed innocent people.
In my hometown a few weeks ago some guys argued in a mall, then one of them took out a gun and shot the other. It's wild how some people don't care about other person's life. Thank goodness the man was only shot in the leg and not some where else. He will be fine. They said that people in the mall were running every where and stores were closing their gates to keep the gunman out.
I really do wish we lived in a better world. A world where people did not have to resort to this type of violence.

That was very sad and disappointing...I'm disappointed in so many people who kill just for the heck of it.
