Cert coming..... Muddy brown legs trotted inbetween the dense trees. Silver ears pined against her skull, Erris explored her herd land. She always was wandering around, never in the same place twice. Or at least she thought it was never. Her white tail flicked.
There was a noise to her right. Her green eyes went wide and her mouth opened and closed without muttering a word. The scent of whatever was in the tree disturbed her. It smelled sharply of danger. Her body quivered in slight fear as whatever was hiding in the bushes came closer. Finally her body responded to her brain as she shot off like lighting in the forest. She ran and ran calling for an Outrider or anyone with antlers. Her heart beat like a drum as she ran. Fox, she huffed silently, it smelled feintly of fox.

"Hmm...humm...la la la," a melodic voice lightly tasted the air as the producer of the song stepped through the snow lined brush. The golden hooves drove through the snow, hardly feeling the cool material against his feet while his breath puffed into the frosty air with each sound. The cream flag of a tail swayed as he pranced, giving his youthful exterior a gentle expression.
Green eyes shot out through the foliage, staring above to a pair of birds twittering to one another discussing various trivial comments before one, obviously excited, took to flight igniting the other to follow after it with little wings.
"Hmm...lovely," the stag commented before starting forward once more. A song settled on his maw, but as he was about to start into the melody a voice echoed in the distance. Stressed, that's how he would describe the breath. Glancing around erratically he searched for the source become sober with each step.
"Hello?"

Erris crashed into the male speaker with such a force, she knocked them both to the ground in a tangle of legs, hooves, and ears. "I'm so sorry," she panted, "I didn't see you. I smelt fox. Fox. Over there." She pointed with her muzzle. Her ears went back again.
She remembered that they were tangled. Squeaking, she tried to untangle herself from the dusk brown male. It hurt, a lot. Not the smartest move she has ever made.

The large deer gave a sharp yelp, coiling on the ground tangled infinitely it seemed with the female who so hastily collided with him. His entire body ached causing him to groan uncomfortably. Even as she spoke of the danger he seemed uncaring, pulling back his ears as his muzzle lay on the ground with his sea green eyes closed tight.
"Umm...ermm..." he muttered, pulling his front legs forward. Each spindle leg balanced before he slowly hoisted himself up, carefully pulling himself from the hind as to not injury her more than the few bruises that lined them both. A fall was a fatal thing for a deer...lucky for them they landed just the right way as to not break anything important. Looking up, however, the male would find one of his tines snapped clear off.
"Fox you say?" he said, lifting his muzzle to confirm the smell. She was right, the scent was not too far off, however, a fox was not something neither he nor the female had to fear, after all, on closer observation he noted that the girl was fully grown. Foxes were notorious dangers to young deer; however, they couldn't kill a healthy fully grown hind or stag. Wolves, on the other hand, were something to fear.
"You'll be alright, Ma'am," he said politely, finally pulling a shy skittish smile on his face, feeling uncomfortable around the stranger. He was built for speed and flight was his favorite way of dealing with problems. "I don't think the fox can hurt you. But I'll protect you if it shows up."

Erris was still on the ground when the male stood. She stared up at him with defient green eyes. "You tripped me!" she whined. She knew it wasn't true, but she didn't want the blame to be pointed at herself. Pulling herself back up, she shook out her fur and glared at the male. The scent of fox drifted back, reminding her of her goal.
"You don't look like much of an Outrider," she pouted as she moved to stand behind him. She could run if the fox decided to attack. What she didn't know is the fox had a small feild mouse to munch on. It didn't give a care for the deer.

He pulled his head back in surprise when she accused him of the incident, when it was clearly the female who bounded blindly through the woods and collided with him. He wouldn't address this aloud though, too timid and polite to blame the girl and allowed her to believe what she wished. His large ears pulled back like an omega wolf who had just suffered a scolding from his alpha. Even so, his sparkling sea foam green eyes vibrantly showed his true gentle but shy disposition.
"Oh, well, I'm not an Outrider exactly," he answered her truthfully, feeling is tail sway back and forth behind him, "I'm a speaker. If the fox decides to come up I'll just persuade 'im to leave. I don't think it will be any danger to us, though. You look strong enough to handle a little ol' fox, Ma'am." But maybe not. A fully grown hind afraid of a little fox perhaps had reasons for her fear.

Erris blinked once. Then twice. Three times in confusion. "How do you know?" she snapped. Her ears went back in hostility. Her tail flipped upwards. "How do you know if I can take a fox or a wolf or a human? You don't!" she huffed with a stomp of her black forehoof.
What the stranger didn't know was that she grew up as a rogue and had a deep fear and hatred for canine predators and most large stags. She shuddered at the thought of her past. The malice in her actions vaporized suddenly and her ears drouped.
"I'm sorry," she muttered quietly. She turned her back to the brown male who had been nothing but nice to her. He didn't deserve what she had dished out to him. "I'm Erris," she offered in consolation.

Pinning his large ears back, his already wide eyes stared at the female unsure of how to respond to her sudden violent outburst of criticism and sharp question. It was almost as if she was challenging his intelligence causing him to frown in his utter shock. The stag even backed up a step or two.
He knew nothing of her past nor did he understand at the time that her rage was brought up because of her memories. But not knowing made him eager to argue. Sure she probably couldn't take on a human with their superior throwing fangs or maybe even a wolf, but surely the large hind could take on a little old fox. Even though he had this want he remained quiet, unable to do much more.
Once she gave her name...Draven calmed down. Her stature became less defensive (or offensive some would say) causing his own to become less uptight and careful. "I-I'm Draven, Miss Erris...and...it's alright I suppose," he replied politely.
