Ok, here's the idea, based on a book I'm writing:::


Sometime in the near future, say around 2067 or so, Vampires, having long laid dormant in the underbelly of human society, rise up against the weaker species and take over the world. By simultaneously launching every nuclear missile and destroying every nuclear reactor on the face of the earth, they send a cloud of fallout particles that (aided by the Vampire's own dark magic) blots out the sun and plunges humanity into a neverending night. The story I want to play out here is that of humans fighting for survival after this holocaust begins. The types of characters I think would work best here are mainly humans, probably not any kind of big-city or military types (unless you can come up with a good reason for them to be there). The other side is obviously evil and definitely the antagonists in this scenario, but again if you can come up with a good reason for them to be on the side of "our heroes" then I'm willing to work with you. Other than that there's not really a limit on what type of character you play. The only other thing I need (besides your basic character description and whatnot) is a specific description of exactly what the person had on them at the time of the Darkening (what humanity later calls the moment the sun disappeared.)

Character name: Damitria (Tia) Towne
Character age: 19
Character appearance:

Bio of Character: With her father being an Army officer, he was stationed on one of the bases that was first to be blown. Her mother was a secretary, and they both died on that day. Tia was at school at the time, and found that her family died untill she saw the blasts. She survived due to the 'bomb' shelter that her family had under the house. She stayed there for weeks untill the food ran out. She then found what the situation was. She was attacked by a lone vampire and escaped. She was able to escape by basicaly beating up the vampire as best as she could (not doing much vampire damage of course), but she was scratched by his fangs across her neck. She now has two parallel line scars on the right side of her neck. This event only caused her to remain in her house (which she locked and boarded every door and window) for about two more weeks, eating nothing, only trying her best to remember all the defence lessons she had ever learned.
Character Personality: Quite and timid, but when she has to protect something important to her, she doesn't hold back.
Other: She has no weapons yet, but she did kickboxing and other self defence training while in middle school and highschool. She can hold her own, but remains hidden in the bomb shelter, wandering out and about to get food and water... searching for survivors.
What possessions she had at the time of the attack: She had her back pack (holding her flute and some sheet music, notebooks she'd use as venting journals, pens and pencils that she'd use as a sort of dart to wound the vampires and escape) and the food and water that were stored in her basment. She had tools from her fathers work shop that she could use to turn other furnature in the house to weapons, her cloths, her parents cloths, lots of random trinkets that could be found in her almost presserved house. And other house hold trinkets like silverwear and plates and such.

Character name: Odette Platts
Character age: 18
Character appearance:
Bio of Character: Odette was once a loved girl who talked to much, then the attack happened, she happened to be trapped in the mini mart three blocks away from Tia's house. On the way to get more supplies, Tia finds Odette in the arms of a vampire who bit her and had started feeding on her. Tia ripped her away and battles with the vampire. Odette quickly wakes from the anasthetic the vampire put her under and goes mad.
Character Personality: After the attack she is terribly secluded. She speaks to no one, frightened of everything that moves, she is saved from a vampire by Tia, who soon takes her in. She doesn't warm up to Tia untill Tia gives her food and shelter for about a week and promises to protect her (only if she 'behaves')
What possessions she had at the time of the attack: She only has the cloths on her back and a charm bracelet that she is constantly playing with. She has a hissy when some one tries to take her attention from the charms or tries to look at them.
