So, I've just recently watched Day of Black Sun with my dad...and he thinks that Zuko's whole speech to his dad is a political metaphor for the U.S.'s war in Iraq.
I know that most likely, not everyone in this guild is American, but Zuko's speech goes something along the lines of "Growing up, we were taught that ours was the best country on earth - and this war was a way of sharing our greatness. We're wrong. People are afraid of us - we've created a reign of terror.
I'm not completely against the government or anything, but just say Mike and Brian are anti-war...
