I know quite a few people don't believe in aliens and it is only recently that I have actually decided that there could be life outside of Earth. I think Earth and the human race is a small piece of something much larger than the known universe. I think that Aliens are out there but they haven't come to this planet yet as the universe is so vast. I also think that if Aliens did come to this planet the government would try and hide it, so how would we know if they actually did come here?
I would like to know other people's views on this.

Have you ever heard of th Raelian religion?

It is based on the existence of Elohim.. or higher beings who are responsible for the creation of the human race. Intellectually advanced persons whose life cycle is closer to 800 years.

It's very interesting and actually has quite a following

I think the keyword is belief; we have no knowledge they exist or don't exist as we know of. But I believe in them just because it seems common sense. There galaxies upon galaxies and to think we are the only ones seems rather elitist to me. Our planet is not special, but one of an infinite number of potentials.

Ah, philosophy and coffee mix well smile

We are discovering that the stars we see at night may contain their own solar system very much like ours. If this is true, the possibility is that each solar system will have their beginning and advancement stages due to the star stages ends (big bang theory if you will.) So, there are stars all over the universe big and small containing their own Solar System inside. Which means that where our Star (the Sun) stage is red dwarf ,I believe, is becoming more advanced by the minute. Look at where we are in development, I'm certain that beings from other solar systems have been able to travel through space with their UFO advancements. It would be too narrow minded to think that we are the only intelligence out there.
We can exit the earths layers.

due to the sheer vastness of he universe i it is unreasonable to think earth is the only planet graced with life. my question is how mankind will react to it.

" humans cannot accept what is different than itself so it denies it's existance, or possibly shun it."(dunno if this is a quote)

how will humans react to aliens? how will they feel to see possibly vast technologies that could destroy them easily? if we invent intergalactic travel technology ourselves, what will we do to when we find creatures far different than ourselves?

I've always belived that others lived in the universe aside from people on Earth. There was a person who came up with the idea that every story written and every dream ever dreamed is true somewhere- just not nescesarily in this universe( as in, thre's multiple universes). They thought that because of that, we might just be someones dream. If that's true, the being that dreamed of us must be either very violent or very bored...
