I'm going to get them t have the Star Wars vs. Star Trek panel this year. It was kind of forgotten.

I like to see Star Trek as if it were Star Wars form the Empire's point of view. Or maybe the Republic's pov.....The Republic in Star Wars had to have some kind of military infrastructure to help regulate things. They couldn't just rely on the Jedi all the time. *starts looking things up in Wookiepedia*

Oh yeah...Why isn't there an official Star Trek wiki? There's a portal off of Wikipedia and lots of detail oriented websites. Plus it's an older series with novels, comics (and manga), movies, and several TV series, and lots of back story to be organized. I mean Wookiepedia has just blown me out of the water with all the info eek ! It's kind of a shame the same thing can't be done for Star Trek.

I'll never forgive them for marrying off Luke Skywalker gonk . Even if it was Mara Jade (my favorite character).

Are those supposed to be Episodes 7,8, & 9? I've heard of them a long time ago when the Thrawn Trilogy came out and that they were supposed to be based on that trilogy. But then I've also heard they weren't making them anymore. Then that they were, but only set many, many years into the future. I'm wondering if the live action TV series set in the Clone Wars was an idea for Ep.s 7-9.

I thought Mark Hamill was supposed to it into one of the prequel films, or Ep.s 7-9 as an old Jedi?

From all that I've heard, Lucas has given up on the 9-film epic he was hoping for. He originally planned for 9-12 movies but then shortened the number to 9. After completing the first three, he went on hiatus due to personal issues (divorce, raising children, ect...) Then came the prequel trilogy that we all know and love (or hate, depending on your viewpoint). If George Lucas were to try and make the last three movies he originally planned on, he would probably have to pass on the directorship to someone else because of his age. Nothing against our elders, but he would probably be dead by the time he finished 7-9.

I love SW episode 1,4,5,6 2 and 3 are like fillers...and really badly done

the best part about SW for me is the expanded universe, not from the originals, but from a few games and from the 'Jedi apprentice' series and the 'Clone Wars' series, wich actually would have fit in the story quite well

I've wanted to play a Star Wars game for a while, but either lack the funds to buy either the system or the game, or I don't have the time to invest in it. Is there a SW for the DS? I'm thinking of picking one of those up, since I'm not really that serious of a gamer, but I'm still curious about gaming.

*glances up at the Death Star figure hanging from the ceiling, then to the Clone Trooper helmet on the wall* > >;
My favorite Stars Wars has to be the original 3. My school found it a good idea to show us a SW movie every Thrusday, so I've seen them all almost too many times. ^ ^;
The games are pretty decent and fun, especially The Force Unleashed. Great fun throwing people off cliffs!~

I started Force Unleashed for PSP, but never finished it. My co-workers were pretty jealous to learn that I could do Force Lightning right away, while they had to unlock it for xbox360.

I have always been into my OWN expanded universe 3nodding , I have imagined that, since the main imperial forces are more like cops (and Stormtroopers, just like Hitlers SS, are basic thugs with titles to make them seem fearsome and confident) and the REAL soldiers (including most clones) are in the Outside and unknown parts of the universe fighting barbarians, invaders and what not. They would be the universes best soldiers (since, in every thing starwars related which included movies and games, a rebel can take on ten stormtroopers easy) and, being far away from home, they would get little new supplies, upgrades, and news of the empire turning New Republic, and they would return outnumbered and outgunned by the then flourishing New Republic;ic and kick its a** ^.^...god I love the imperials too much.

P.S. the Hitler comment is true. you RARELy see alines in the Emperial army (racism) and Hitler named his police like thugs the name of SS so they can feel special, since the Waffen SS are an Elite part of the Army (which caused the deaths and unjust prosecutions of many Waffen SS soldiers in prisons) Most troopers were just called 'Troopers', and storm troopers (also existed in Germany) were an Elite Soldier Type, so im guessing, in order to strike fear into Imperial Citizens, all soldiers were then refered to as StormTroopers.
