So what games does everyone here like to play? I'd say my favorite card game is Munchkin. I don't really play video games or MMO's (until Gaia gets its battle system up), so I don't have an opinion on those. Does anyone here play RPG's? How about LARPing or LAN? Any table top players?

Table top RPGs are one of my big hobbies. I'm mainly a D&D and BESM girl, though I'm pretty familiar (though rather out of date) with White Wolf as well.
As for MMOs, I've just recently gotten hooked on Anarchy Online where I have one of their free accounts. I can be found there under the name Hastika.

I like Munchkin and the Warlord CCG. Pretty much games where you totally screw over your opponent. Except I'm usually the one who loses in those games. I've always wanted to learn how to play D&D. LARPing would be fun, too.
I think we're going to have a lot of RPG/CCG demos and D&D noob tables at '08. If only we had more GM's....

Quite simply, Persona 3. It's one of the best RPGs I've ever played, and if you consider yourself a JRPG fan and DIDN'T play this game, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Go punish yourselves by brutally whipping yourself with something metal on the end of a cord- like a toaster.
If you DID play this game, then disregard the self mutilation thing.
Persona 3 is one of the most thought provoking games I've ever played, but I've come to expect that from anything with Shin Megami Tensei in the title. This game shines in every aspect: story, gameplay, graphics, and even music (which originally I thought was going to be annoying, but it fits the game perfectly). What truly amazed me is how it took aspects that had become old and generally stale and mixed them all together in such a way that it's actually quite refreshing. You control every aspect of your character's life- so it's a SIM. Normally, timed games are annoying, but this game gives you a full year to complete it, so you don't have to worry about being strapped for time. Not to mention the battles are fresh, allowing a lot of fun customization for your gameplay style which is made even better by the fact that the AI that controls your other characters isn't blatantly retarded.
What makes this even better is the fact that FES, which is like an expansion, was announced for America and SHOULD be released 4/23/08 for only $30 (including the game) that not only allows more gameplay value for the ORIGINAL game, it also gives you thirty more hours to tak onto the 90 hours projected for your first playthrough- and since that promise of 90 hours of gameplay has been more than delivered, I can only expect the same from FES.
In essence, if you consider yourself a hardcore gamer (in the RPG sense) then you must be STUPID. Don't miss your second chance to grab it, because anything Shin Megami Tensei becomes rare inevitably.

though rpg wise i have a strange selection though my favorite rpg of all time is chrono trigger, the gameplay and story are simply extravagant for their time and the 12 different endings keep you busy along with the new game plus option allowing you to continue where you left off level and equipment wise to finish the game moreover again and again till youve leveled and acheaved max level and gotten all the endings, it is an snes (super nintento) game and was re-released unchanged for ps1 wth added anime movie scenes and extra features for unlocking different endings, overall a good solid rpg if you consider yourself a true rpg fan and never played this i suggest picking up a copy, though i reccomend picking up a copy of the ps1 rerelease as it is not nearly as rare or sought after as chrono trigger for snes, not to be confused with chrono cross which is a sequel on the ps1 as well...a copy of the original snes version of chrono trigger can be found at used gamestores sometimes well over a hundred dollars...one of the rarest games of all time... also among my list of rpg's i like are pokemon which continues to bring forth nearly unlimited hours of gameplay as it may seem simple but in a broader perspective is in fact very complex when it gets down to the gritty details, final fantasy 7 one of the greatest rpg classics of all time and a less known tactics rpg known as kartia for ps1 which makes for a very interesting gameplay system and nice graphics for the time. also going for realism is elder scrolls games for pc or console, i play IV Oblivion on ps3 and it has shown great promise as did III morrowind on the original xbox...
