Of what I watched so far, the anime dealt more with magic and Nina's background from the kingdom. With the manga, there was more relationships between the characters. There is still an element of romance in the anime. I believe its 26 episodes? Uh, there are certain parts from the manga in the anime.

It's similar to many magic girl series...the anime. Mainly a transformation sequence every episode XD
hah.
But I liked it. Didnt follow the manga much at all, but alot of the same outfits and new cooky characters were there so it was a good anime.
