well, the [Japanese] release date for the 12th movie has been announced: April 12th, 2008.

sadly, I really can't read Japanese, so I can't translate the summary for you.
what I can make out, however, is that it's at an opera, there are explosions, Shinichi appears, and there's a battle over a Stradivarius violin? seriously, there was enough trouble in that one chapter...

if anyone can fully translate the summary, it'd be much appreciated.

I feel like with each movie the emphasis on Shin'ichi and Ran gets smaller and smaller. I hope they bring some of that back, instead of just having flashbacks if when they were little.

Ugh, this really makes me want to watch the Stradivirus episodes. I stopped since my eyes would've literally started to bleed if I watched more DC in one day. eek
