The forest sighed as small summer winds flowed through the branches. A lone girl around her late teens strode the forest paths with only a sword to accompany her.

Leaning against a tree, a tall man, bare-chested and well muscled, snapped his head in the direction of approaching footsteps. His eyes were long since gone, a bandage wrapped around his head, but his ears more than made up for their absense.

The footsteps grew nearer until they were right behind the tree the man was leaning against. They stopped suddenly. The next movement heard was one on insecurity almost uncertain of what lied ahead.

The man smirked, his mind sizing up the one behind the tree. His smile broadened as his keen sense of smell informed him the approacher was female.

The girl looked around. A feeling had stopped her and she knew that the feelings she got were rarely wrong. She didn't want to move on as though she expected something to attack. She backed away some, dead leaves underneath crunching under her.

The man sighed inwardly and pushed off from the tree, he stepped around to face the girl, holding both hands face up to show his lack of weapon.

She seemed surprised but not so much. Seeing he was un armed she relaxed a bit. "...erm...hello?" She began.

Her tongue was foreign to him, though not one he hadn't studied. "Hello..." His voice was thick with a far-northern accent. He lowered his hands to his sides and inclined his head slightly in her direction.

The man grinned, showing off even albeit pointed teeth. "That, is entirely dependant on who you are." He crossed his arms over his chest and waited for her reply.

Her eyes widened greatly seeing the warning. "I....I...." She seemed lost for words "....I am the almighty Shika" Her voice was laced with fake courage

He bit the inside of his cheek to keep from laughing, "Littling. I doubt that." He unfolded his arms and tapped his head with a forefinger. "I'd say you're young. But old enough to have children by now... " He tilted his head to the side. "There's something... noble... and something--" He sniffed at the air, "Scared? Littling?" He snickered.
