This was the anime that turned me into a hardcore anime fan. I had bought movies before, like Project A-ko, and seen TV series, like Ronin Warriors. But with Sailor Moon, I felt I had to get the merchandise along with watching the anime. It was the first anime I bought a bootleg VHS tape for, and then later I bought bootleg DVD's of the final unaired series "Sailor Stars." My favorite senshi was Mecury. I've always loved the idea of female warriors, and I continue to cheer on female fighters in other shows like Tenjou Tenge and Claymore. I've kind of out grown the magical girl genre, though.

AH yes, Sailor Moon was my fist Anime as well, my favorite scout was Jupiter.

Sailor Moon actually turned out to be my first anime and manga. I liked it. mrgreen I actually used to play pretend Sailor Moon at elementary school. ninja

i liked sailormoon...even though many now ridicule it i liked it as it was among my first animes and my first anime crushes were among sailor moon and the scouts.... redface

I really wouldn't mind seeing the musicals, myself. Although it might be a mistake. I saw parts of the Revolutionary Utena and Bleach musicals, and that was interesting.....

That was the very second anime series that I saw( the first that I saw was Dragonball) I like that series and still do. One of the things I don't like is Serena's personality as a whiny wimpy cry-baby, another thing that I didn't care much for was Rei( she was always in a pissy mood or just plain pissy), Darien( he always breaks up with Serena whether it's amnesia or a recurring nightmare, than he's all like "I don't love you anymore), and of course Rini( I mean she acts like a spoiled brat throughout the season and her behavior gets praised and is pretty much encouraged). My favorite episodes are Little Miss Manners, Diamond in the Rough, and Legend of the Negamoon. My favorite characters are Serena and Prince Diamond( personally I think that they make a great couple way better than Serena and Darien do).

I loved mars and Mercury. I loved the entire show as a matter of fact, until I learned of the horrible edits and the non-translated last season. Then I got kinda ticked off.

it was the first anime i saw as a little kid. still pretty good i think, or at least until the plot starts repeating heavily around the 3rd or 4th season.

it was one of my major animes, back before i ralized what i was watching wasn't just a cartoon, i believe it was the time when it suddenly became dubbed japanamation.
i mean samurai pizza cats was more important but i didn't realize that was anime till way after pokemon and digimon

I still watch episodes of Sailor Moon on YT but that's mainly because I don't have any of the episodes on DVD.

I want to get the DVD's that came out a while back which featured the original episodes in Japanese with English subtitles. Apparently these sets have a few episodes which weren't shown on TV.
