OOC: This is basically the plot line that I've been doing with Angel, though different. We have our own version of it over PM and this one will be different. Not the same plot twists and what not. Information below.

Plot: Basic plot line is that there’s a war going on. The two ‘key’ players in the war are on opposite sides; the leaders of the Sorcerer’s Alliance and what has come to be known as the Demon Hordes. The Demon Hordes are the aggressors of the war. The war has been taking place for a very long time, and few know the reasons for the start of the war. It was started because of this one being’s lust for chaos and blood. That one being was trapped within a sword a long time ago; however, one bloodline was set as the Guardians of that being, and now Eleniel (the being) inhabits the minds of the male members, or Wielders, of that lineage. She can only inhabit one of them at a time, and essentially, she controls them. As for the two sides. The Sorcerer’s Alliance is made up of elves, dwarves, other races, and the magic wielders. Basically whatever. However, those classified as ‘demons’, and even a quantity of humans, are a part of the Demon Hordes. The Sorcerer’s Alliance is led by a Council (feel free to have your characters be council members, but note that Angel already has claim over one).

My Intro:
It’s time. Hearing the whisper of words in his mind, he stood up and walked towards the table. His ‘Advisors’ were crowded around it, looking at a series of maps. Upon reaching the table he reached out and pointed to one section of the map. It was a small town near the mountains which made up the border between the Eastern demon lands and the dwarves. “Send the men here,” he told them, his voice taking on the cold tone that they were used to. He paused in his speech. I want their blood to flow upon the mountains. Stain the rocks red. “Tell them to show no mercy. Burn everything, let no one escape. I don’t care if it’s a squalling babe in his mother’s arms. Kill them all.”

“But that will surely enrage the Alliance. Look at the response the many raids have created. What strategic advantage will it bring us? It’s an out of the way town,” one of the men protested. Rikui turned his blue eyes onto the man. He was one of those who were averse to needless killing. There really was no need to burn it to the ground.

“Kill them all,” Rikui repeated, turning away from them. He walked past the men and outside of the command tent, moving towards where Lightning was tethered. He kept the black stallion close, in case he ever needed him. He had asked one of the camp servants to prepare Lightning earlier. He was not going to stay in the camp. Off to the side where she had been standing, a woman looking about the same age and extremely similar to him stood up.

“Wherever it is you’re going this time, you aren’t going alone,” she told him. Rikui didn’t even look at his sister. He had known that she would be there; she was far too predictable. Not to mention loyal. She would never turn her back on her twin brother. He didn’t say a word, merely mounted up onto the stallion.

*******
In a little clearing nestled in trees, a small fire burned. It was sufficient for the amount of people using it. The trees surrounding the clearing made a dense covering of brush. The only opening was the path which led out of the clearing. From there passerby’s would be able to see the fire, but not the man sitting by it nor the stallion chomping on the fresh green grass.

The man sitting by the side of the fire gazed straight into it. For once, the being that inhabited his mind was silent. Normally Eleniel plagued him with constant demands and constant reminders. She also loved showing him past memories, particularly the ones she knew would hurt him. His blue eyes held not the cold look he normally displayed among the demons; instead they held a darker, brooding look. It almost betrayed the constant depression he was in.

His eyes were the windows of his moods. His black hair, so like the stallion Lightning, was currently hooded under the hood of his cloak. It was a chilly night. In daytime, the hood would cast shadows over his eyes, making the features of his face unseen. Perfect for traveling among enemies. The sword Eleniel, the artifact he always carried with him, remained hidden at his right hip underneath his cloak. The sword was named for the being it imprisoned, and whom now resided within his skull. It also served as a clear cut reminder of who he was.

The entire world knew of the existence of the sword, and would know him immediately because of it. There were many who would also be able to name him without seeing it. One of those was his older twin. Ryena was currently within the nearby village, procuring supplies for the rest of the journey north. The seat of the Sorcerer’s Alliance’s Council, the citadel of their power, was not that far away now. He would reach them within two days. Once again, he was glad for Eleniel’s absence in his mind. That absence meant that he could think on his plans freely. She could not punish him for a plan she did not know of.

~A world of chaos, of destruction, darkness and fear. This was the world Teresa Arwin was born into. The one where she would grow up and live in for as long as the Emilance boy lived. Or would she?~

Hidden deep within spells and enchantments, between snow capped mountains, lay the great stronghold of the Alliance. The sorcerers of great power and wisdom dwelt within its walls and kept as much order as possible in the midst of war. There were many gifted and talented men and women elves, fairies and a few of mixed blood, dedicated to serve and protect the outside world from the threats of the demons and their followers. Here was a sense of peace and security among them and their offspring were cared for and guarded with zeal. One would think these children would grow up spoiled or think themselves invincible but it was a rare fault. Most seemed to know their limits and where they stood among each other.

Any place where there is power, there is greed and desire for more. Not many are content with what they have and strive to attain more. Some by studying and working hard with the talents they posses, others by deceit and usurping the weaker races. The last thing the Alliance needed was division and discord amongst their own so the council was selected. A group of five, strong sorcerers from the five main families which helped to create the Alliance many years before. These five houses were represented by five legendary creatures. The Dragon, the Leviathan, the Phoenix, the Griffon and the Unicorn. This group of five highly-gifted sorcerers guides the others in harmony. Their objective was to remind every person who the real threat was and to work together to put an end to him and his minions.

Over the years these five houses were led by the first born male of each family. It was unheard of for a woman to lead her clan but times had changed and fewer males were being born into the Leviathan and Unicorn representative houses. And so it happened that two young maidens, one of eighteen and the other of sixteen, took the council seats when their prior occupants departed this world. They joined the three young men already in procession of their rightful seats. Seth, Clare, Jacques, Xane and Teressa. Each one different in his or her own way, with one similarity. They wanted to put an end to the Emilance heir and this war he had caused. These five mage born young people grew up with a fierce dislike for the Emilance boy. All of them save for the youngest. She had her own thoughts and plans for him. Her grandfather had often told her stories of this boy, now a man. Stories he had heard from a good friend who had visited the family often. From these stories this young girl vowed to save the boy at any cost. She would not let an innocent suffer the fate her elders and now her fellow counsel members had in mind for him.

OCC: I have control over Teresa but the other four are up for the taking if anyone wishes to join the cousel.

Ryena walked her young mare towards the clearing, following the mental call of her brother. She would be able to find him anywhere as long as he kept his mind open to her. She remembered a time long ago when that was not so. She had spent several months unable to feel her twin. She had decided back then that such a thing would never happen again. She would not let him slip into the void.

Upon reaching the clearing she dismounted off of the mare, quietly walking towards the figure of the man sitting before the fire. She reached out to touch him on the shoulder. “Ry, did you send the message?” Rikui asked her without taking his eyes away from the fire.

“Yes. Gareck should receive it just before we reach that village. I told him where he will be able to find us,” Ryena told her younger twin. In one fluid motion Rikui stood up, grabbing the bucket filled with spring water as he did so. With a flick of his wrists he doused the fire with the water. “I also brought what we will need. Your dye is in one of the packs on my mare.” Rikui finally turned around to face his sister, the same blue eyes that she had peering at her. He took notice of the hair color change. Her own dye had worked well for her it seemed.

*****
In the stronghold, the man referred to as Gareck sat at the table within his room. He was sipping his tea like he did nearly every morning, his dark green eyes peering across the table at the little boy sitting there. Placing the cup back onto the table he reached up with one hand to fix a stray lock of his brown hair behind tipped ears. From the other side of the door to his rooms the sound of four knocks upon the door reverberated around the chamber.

The little boy stood up and ran over to the door, opening it up. “Hello, young one. Is Gareck Dremain within? I have a letter for him. It’s from a young girl with blond hair,” the messenger.

“He’s inside. I’ll give the letter to him,” the little boy replied. The messenger nodded and handed the letter over to him. Taking it he closed the door again and headed back to the table, placing the letter there. “A man brought this for you.”

“Thank you, Liel,” Gareck told the little five year old, smiling up at him. His features reminded him of another boy he knew, long ago. Before that boy grew older and his eyes changed. Little Liel still had the innocent, curious gaze in his eyes. Gareck picked up the letter, opened it, and then began to read. He remained silent for a long moment before standing up. “Come, Liel.”

*****
The man and the five year old boy stood before another door, and the man reached over to knock loudly. He held the little boy’s hand with his other, and the little boy clutched the letter close. That was Liel’s task for the moment. “Teresa, my dear? It’s me, Gareck. May I speak with you for a moment?” Gareck called out.

~Fadding sunlight shone through the stain-glass window in a array of colores on the cherrywood desk highlighting the gold and silver inlaid leaves around the table edges. There was, at one side of the small table was crystal statue of a unicorn with a pure white gold spirral horn, poised in an elegant stance. This was her prize possesion and the symbol of her family's blood line. Seated on a hight backm blue velvet coved chair made of the same wood as the small table, sat Teresa, hard at work on a trascript she was translating from an old spell book that belonged to her late grandfather. A light knock broke the girl's consentration and made her set her ink pen down by her manuscript. She rose to her feet with quiet grace, reaching her bedroom door in a few quiet strides. Since her rooms were in the outer quarters of the council tower she was able to recive visitors and mesengers with having o notify or alert the other four members. Upon opening her door she smiled at the elven man before her, not yet noticing the child. "What a pleasent surprise master Gerack. It has been a long time since you visited me....since my grandfather...." Her words were cut short as she ushered him inside and saw the child with him. "I see you brought a companion with you." She smiled at the little boy and knelt to meet his eye level, "Good evening young man. How do you do? My name is Teresa." She held out her hand to him in greeting.~

"Yes, it has. I've been busy. There's a new little charge now, and there are certain places which would not be safe for him. Not to mention there are those whom do not agree with me coming here," gareck replied, smiling as he walked into the room. He let go of Liel's hand. Now that they were at their destination, there wasn't a need for him to make sure the boy did not wander off. "This is Liel. I've been watching over him since a few months after he was born."

"Who are you? I've never seen you before. Are you the person I'm supposed to give this letter to? Mr. Gareck said that we were going to see someone, and he told me to hold the letter and not let anyone see it except for one person," Liel said, looking at Teresa. The letter was held in his left hand in order to keep it from being crushed.

~"Well, regardless of the reason, I am glad you came today." She lowered her voice, "The council is restless. They are sending scouts to search for the Emilance Heir." She smiled at the little boy, "I do not know. Is there a Unicorn seal on the back? If there is, the the letter is for me." She was on her feet again and walked over to her desk and picked up a very small, very well made, pure crystal figuring. "Likke this. This a little statue of a unicorn. See how it looks like a horse? But if you look closer you will see the little spiral horn on its forhead. That is my family's sign. Can you tell me if there is an image like it on the paper you are holding?"~

The little boy ran over to Teresa in order to get a better look at the unicorn figure she held. His blue eyed gaze took in it, noting how it did look like a horse, just like she said it did, except for that horn. He reached out to touch it with the fingertips of his right hand before looking down at the letter, turning it over. He looked for a seal like the unicorn, and after a moment he looked up at her. "There's an image that looks like a horse on it."

"That's because the person who wrote the letter doesn't have anything to make a unicorn seal with him. That letter is for you, my dear, and after I read it I think you will understand why. It must not be shown to the rest of the Council. To do so would point out that boy's location to the scouts you say the Council have sent out," Gareck commented from where he stood, his arms crossed in front of him.

~I see." She took the letter from the child's hand and handed him the little figuring. "If you promise to take good care of this little statue, you may keep it." She smiled at him warmly as she was quite fond of children. "Would you like to look at my colection of figurings Liel?" She gesterared with her hand, palm up, to a low shelf on one side of her study. The shelf was made of deep red cherry wood and on it were several little figurings, no two were alike. There was an array of known animals and some never seen before, including one for each house, save the unicorn which she was offering to the little boy.

While she sent him over to look at her colection, Teresa asked Gareck to sit at her desk with her as she opend the letter. "So what exactly do you wish of me master Gareck? You know I am against the concil in their plans to destroy the Emilance Heir but one against four is not easy. I do not know how much longer they will take notice of my standing. As I already said, they have gone ahead and sent a few scouts." As she spoke she broke the seal on the envelope and unfolded the letter that she withdrew from within it. She began to read it carefuly...~

Liel immediately went over to the shelf holding the other figurines, holding the one of the unicorn in his hand. He was being very careful not to drop it and break it. He didn't want to make the nice lady mad. His eyes roamed over all of the pretty animals, and he tried to decide which one he liked best. There were so many to choose from, he couldn't decide right away.

Gareck joined her at the table, sitting down gracefully despite his aging years. "I believe you'll know once you read that letter. I received one as well, from the same person, with similiar and yet...different, I would presume, information inside of it. He's never met you personally after all," he commented.

*****

Greetings. I realize we're never met before, but Gareck Dremain has mentioned you to me in the past. According to him, you're the voice of reason in the Sorceror Council. I'm sending this message to you for two reasons. The first is that in around nine days after you read this letter, there will be a raid on the village lieing directly on the mountainous border between Eastern demonlands and the Dwarves. The raid serves no purpose, instead only serving as mindless killing. The men have orders to burn the village down and kill every living being in sight. Do not let them. Warn your Council. Send sufficient men there to stop it. The innocents there should not suffer meaninglessly. My second request cannot adequately be put into a letter. Not to mention there isn't enough time. Within one day, I will be at the village a few hours ride South from your home, at a discreet little house in the back alleys. That's one of Gareck's "safehouses", or so he calls them. Meet me there, and be careful; you'll find my sister is not very accepting of women she does not know. She'll be the one trying to stab you with those tiny daggers of hers. Oh, two other things...bring the boy Liel with you. I'd like to see how he's turned out since the last time I saw him. Lastly, sorry for not mentioning my name earlier. It's not that important. You'll know me as Rikui Emenalce.

~Teresa glanced at the boy as she read the letter. It hit her like a bolt of lightning after reading the letter and knowing whom had written it. "I understand now. The boy is his, is he not?" She smiled warmly and folding the leter dhe tucked it in folds of her gown. "Rest awhile master Gareck. I want to speak a little while with Liel." She walked over to the child and knelt beside him. "Do you like them sweetie? Would like to keep one?" She reached out to stroke his baby soft hair, "Liel...would you like to see my mare? She is very beautiful and very tame. I would like to take you for a horseback ride tomarrow." She stood once more, "Think about it and I wll be right back." She then smiled at Garck, "I will speak to the council at once. I belive I would start with Xane and Jacques. I trust them more than the other two." She added, "Rest here for awhile." She took her staff and left her chambers making sure no one could enter her private rooms where her guests were.

Hurring down the corridor she made a few quick notes in her mind and going over the letter she had recived from her grandfather's childhood friend. Upon enering the council room she made a quick curtsy to her felow concil memberes. Upon straighting up she was disapointed to find them all there. Each was seated in his or her place with a small table infront of them. Therewas a map and think blank witing scrolls before them. Another meeting I was not included in... This was not the first time she had been excluded from a gathering but it did not bother her. Thanks to her grandfather and his teachingd, she knew al that went on in theese secions but never let on about it. "Forgive my inturuption bit I have recived news from one of my personal scouts." Each member of the council had a gruop of various servents that were loyal to an idividual House. Each had trusted alies among their own. Once she was permited to speak she assended to her place and laid out the letter that Gareck had brought her. Before revealing its context she moved her fingers quickly to hide the part addressed to her alone and the name of the one who wrote it. She replaced it with the name and signiture of her scout master -whom she trusted with her life and who would anything for her family- before handing it Xane.

He read it and passed it on to each member before it was given back to Teresa. "Shall I do as the letter says or is it a matter that has to be discussed?" It was dificult to tell what their answer would be. It took no more than half a minute for them to give her the permision to send scouts and a small group of armed men to see if this is trure. If you select wisely you might have the protection needed before this suposed attack comes. We, the council leave it in your hands."

Teresa stood once more, replaced the leter into the fold of her gown and took her leave. 'I was sure they would grant me this request. A faint smile was on her lips and she returned to her apartments and secured the door behind her. "Master garck? I have this assingment to myself." She sat beside him, "When I entered they were going over somethng. Something they wish for me not to know about." She spoke as if she expected it. "I willfind out soon enough. But I have their aprovle and will send my own men to defend the village. My men are skiled in magic and sword -play. Unlike the other memberes, I belive a warrior should have both skills." She glanced at Liel and then back to elven mage beside her, "I know his father but...what of his mother? Why is she not careing for him with you? He is very young and I think he still needs maternal care" She added quickly, "Not that you are not a wonderful parent and guadian." ~

"Yes he is. Rikui hasn't seen him in quite a few years. He may no longer recognize him. The little one has grown up a lot in the last four years," Gareck said, inclining his head to show her guess was correct. He watched as she spoke to the little boy, smiling, thinking on how she seemed to know just what to say to make Liel comfortable. He didn't seem anxious about being around her at all. Sometimes, Liel would hide between Gareck's legs when he was first introduced to a stranger. Later, once he had become used to the new person, he didn't seem to care that he hadn't known them an hour earlier. It almost seemed that to Liel, they were just new people to play with. "Thank you my dear" he added just before she left.

While she was gone, Liel continued to look at all of the figurines, occasionally trying to reach up to look at one of them better before putting it back. He tried putting it in the exact spot it had been in before. While he did this, Gareck sat there watching him, letting the young one enjoy his time with looking at the pretty things. Upon her returning, he looked over at her. "Welcome back my dear," he greeted her, his gaze flickering over towards the boy. "She's dead, for very much the same reasons as his grandmother, though under different circumstances. Don't mention it directly in front of him; he does not know exactly what happened. If you want to discuss it with anyone, you can discuss it with his father. Right now Liel is just my charge. My job is to keep him safe," he said in a whisper so that the little one could not overhear.

After a minute Liel seemed to realize she had come back, and he ran over to her with his bright eyes shining. "I want to go on a horseback ride with you! It sounds like fun, and he never lets me go for a ride. I don't know which one of the animals I like best. They're all so different and pretty, it's too hard to choose," he told her in an excited tone.

~"I understand master Gareck." She replied in the exact same tone he used. Her smile returned in full when the child ran to her. Without asking him or Gareck she picked him up and sat him in her lap. "Well then, ..." she lowered her voice as if Gareck could not hear her words, "..we will not tell him. " She looked over at her shelf of figurings and in a normal tone of voice asked, "Did you like my colection? Did you choose one to keep?" She stroked his hair as she held him wondering if would be able to see him more. "Now, how would like to visit the stables?" She stood up but kept the little boy in her arms, "Master Gareck? Will you join us for a breif visit?" ~

"Yes, I liked them. They're very pretty and each one's different. I couldn't pick one. I think they look better up on that shelf all together. That way they can all be friends and none of them will ever get lonely," Liel replied, smiling happily up at her. He was still holding the unicorn figurine in his hand; that one he wouldn't let go. "Let's go! What was in the letter? "

"Of course, my dear. You know how to treat small children. Liel seems to have liked you from the very beginning," Gareck commented as he stood up, smiling at the two of them. He was glad the little boy was taking to her so well. It would make things so much easier for later, when he went on that trip with her.

~A smile touched the young scorses' lips as the chils answered and yet held the little figuring of the unicon. "That is very nice of you to think of the others and the unicon's happines. But you know what? I think, if you kept the unicon it would be very happy and it's friends would be glad it has a new friend to care for it." She shifted the little boy slightly to get a better hold on him. To Gareck she said, "I love children. Their innocence makes it a joy to teach them about the Mythical relm and how to use their powers wisely. They have a natural sence of good and bad. They do not want to gain power, just have fun and learn." She left her rooms with the child and the older mage.

Half way down the corridor she stoped a mesenger and asked the youth to call the comander of her House troops/guard. The man she had known since childhood and who was now her most trusted friend and ally. Once the boy was gone she informed Gareck, "I will speak to my camander while visiting the stables. We can tell him of our plans. I trust him with my life and he has never failed me before."~

"Do you think the unicorn will miss his other friends? Will you miss it?" Liel asked, tilting his head to the side in that curious way of hers. His bright eyes looked all around at everyone they passed as well as their surroundings. He had never been to this part before. It was all new and exciting. "I can always bring the unicorn back to visit. I think the unicorn would like to see his friends again, and I would like to come by and look at the others again too. I'll take very good care of the unicorn and make sure no one tries to take him from me, I promise. If anyone tries to take the unicorn away, I'll bite them and make them go away."

"Then there are those children whom have difficulty learning, and rebel against whatever an older person is trying to teach them. Luckily, little Liel here is not like that. He likes to visit new places and see new things. He finds joy in seeing things he has never seen before," Gareck added, smiling. He nodded once towards the messenger and Teresa's comment. "Alright. You're absolutely sure he's entirely trustworthy?" he asked her.
