So, with Christmas coming up, and after my recent Epiphone purchase, an actual guitar is probably out of the question
but recently, I've been listening to a lot of Hendrix and Tom Morello(from Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave)
and while trying to figure out songs like Killing in the Name and Bulls On Parade(Yeah I know, both Guitar Hero songs), I found out, ho s**t, there's more to that huh?

Long story short
can anyone provide certain pedals in particular to help out
And not just Rage or Hendrix, anything, mostly distortion and wah-wah pedals
Brands, names, whatever

dont make the mistakes of many guitarists. GET A GOOD AMP! dont rely souly on pedals because pedals let you down, the're nifty little tools to perfect tone. that and because by the time you bought a vox tonelab, a digitech rp 90, boss overdrive, etc. then you already spent as much money as an amp that could put out more power and get all that preciouse pedal tone that you wish you could have on your 15 watt combo.

I would recomend the weeping demon wah pedal, but I didn't know amps were so important. What should u look for in an amp? And what does the whammy 'pedal' do?
