Toushiro sighed softly as he tried to walk away from the hectic life of this 'Lily' girl's house. There were mice EVERYWHERE. He wondered how she lived... At least he got his own room and stuff because everyone was a little... afraid of his blade... He wandered down the stairs and out the front mouse door. He speed walked in case someone saw him...
He walked until he reached a small river. it was partly frozen but not safe for a human to walk on. maybe a really light weight mouse but that's it. He put his hands inside his black sleeves and went to explore the small ravine that was created between a steep hill and a clearing...

A small black and white figuer sat by the riverside quietly. She had pale gray eyes that stared ahead blankly as her ivory pigtails fell loosely over her shoulders. The ghostly little mouse seemed to be staring at her icy reflection, but no one never really knew what she was looking at.
Izuzu let out a quiet sigh as she smoothed out her black kimono and stood up. It was somewhat sunny today and oh how she hated warm, sunny weather. She glided smoothly over to a tree by the riverside and hid in its shadow.

Toushiro could hear movement in the forest. He even saw a blur before his eye. His ears twitched as his paw moved slowly to grab for his zanpakuto. He couldn't firgure out where it was coming from but might as well be safe than sorry. He thought it was safe so he released his paw's grip on the handle of his blade.
He made his way along the riverbank as he watched the river flow, not breaking the ice that lay safely along the edge of the river. He tried to figure out what he saw. Was it that dragon trying to get him back home just so they could 'play' again? He wondered as a bit of soft mud gave way and toushiro would slip to his demise...

Izuzu shifted slightly and turned to look at the sound of someone else walking not too far away from her shadow. As she shifted, her small cresent shaped blade, that was hooked into the sash around her tiny waist, made a small noise as the chain clanked together gently.
She watched the other mouse with interest, he too had snow white hair like her. In almost every way, he reminded her of herself, well, pyshically at least. Maybe he...maybe he knew where it is was. Maybe he would know what she was looking for...
Izuzu cocked her head to one side as she watched him walk along. She opened her mouth to speak, but closed it once more, a confused look washing over her face.
Suddenly, a quiet lilting voice escaped, "It's dangerous...you'll...fall."

Toushiro heard this small feminine voice as he fell. It was new to him... He couldn't pinpoint where exactly it was. As he slipped down he twisted his body and tried to grip onto the mulch wall of the river bank. but to his luck, he got a steady grip. he moved his feet on some steady ground and leaped back up onto the riverbank trail. Since, what kind of shinigami would he be if he let some little slip cause him to be injured?
"Who's out there?" he said almost in an angry tone. but whoever knew him, it was considered 'normal'...

Izuzu stood up and revealed herself quietly as she stepped out of the shadow. His tone seemed to be slightly tinted with anger and it caused a pained look in her normally blank gray eyes. she was surprised that the other mouse had amanaged to...not fall. he was certainly not...'normal'.
Her hands knotted together infront of her in a nervous way, it was Izuzu's sign of 'I'm in insecure. I'm scared. I don't know what to do.' She stared down at the pale green grass blankly, not even bothering to look at the other mouse.

Toushiro turned to look at this nervous girl. she was dressed in the black kimono that most shinigami wore back at soul society. He examined her structure and body language. He just crossed his hands in his sleeves as he walked up to this female mouse.
"Hello." He said to her still in his weird way of a normal tone. He noticed that her kimono looked slightly different than most. it had white flames on the sleeves.

Izuzu's eyes searched the ground aimlessly as she remained silent. She took in a sharp breath as the wind began to blow in an erratic manner. Her loose ivory pigtails blew about, loose hairs framing her small face, forlorn face. She bit her lower lip slightly before responding with a slightly eerie, "Hello."
A small gray cloud floated around and blocked out the sun in the silence after Izuzu's quiet greeting. The wind continued to blow in an awkward and erratic manner, kicking up her kimono slightly. Her long, white flamed sleeves whirled around.
"Be still."
Alsomost instantly, the wind died down, but it still remained dark as more gray clouds began to form.

Toushiro felt cold winds as he tucked his hands together. His snowy white hair shifted a bit but not ruining the spiky look of it. He could hear her small 'hello'. To him it sounded polite and calm. He could hear her small voice say 'be still'. He stood his ground prepared for anything but not moving either, obeying her orders.

Her breath suddenly became panicked as a look of horror washed over her face. A single drop of rain fell from the sky as Izuzu let out a small cry. She searched the ground for a few seconds before whirling around and running off.
The wind suddenly started up again and blew violently as a sob escaped Izuzu's mouth. She continued to run along as fast as she could, her blank eyes searching for a place. A place to escape from the rain. Anywhere.
She silently ducked into an old barnas the rain began to come down.

Toushiro ran after her. He didn't stop her during the run but he did stay incredibly close. He covered his face throughout the chase, to protect himself from being pushed to the ground by the winds. He followed her to a barn. It seemed like she knew where she was going.
He went into the barn, trying to find the girl again. "Hey, where are you?" He called out. It was no more than a small squeak to a human but it would echo to the heavens of mice. he looked around trying to focus of crying in the barn.

Izuzu had run to a dark corner in the barn, far far away from the entrance or any other kind of opening in the old building. She was huddled up in the corner, a sqaure of cloth-to a mouse, it was like a blanket- raped over her head. Her small frame shivered as she let out a small whimper, not responding to the loud voice that was apparently looking for her.
Why did he follow her? Why was he here? Why did he care?
The ghostly mouse sniffled and cried in the corner, attempting to muffle her cries with the piece of cloth.

His ears twitched softly and his tail moved from side to side. He tucked his hands in his sleeves and began to wander around trying to pick up small clues to see where she went off to. He wandered for minutes to try find her. He could hear soft muffled noises but they were always covered up by the rain pattering on the barn's wall.
he moved here and there trying to find her. He even tried to smell her out in the barn, but the rain kept covering it up. He began to feel frustrated as he didn't find her. He decided to just sit down for a while near some wall. he moved himself to the nearest wall, near a corner to rest. He sat leaning against the barn wall as he pulled his collar towards his neck to keep warm.

Izuzu continued to sob, her cries full of sorrow. She pulled the piece of cloth closer to her face so that so that she looked like a crying, shivering, brown lump in the corner of some old, creaky barn.
The rain continued to pour down on Earth as the gray skies shed their tears of perpetual sorrow. The wind beat at the old barn mercilessly as Izuzu continued to cry.
"Make it stop. Please. Make it stop."

He could hear soft words made out. he leaped to his feet softly not to make a slight vibration so that she could hear him. He followed the clear words to a brown lump of cloth. he sighed softly as he sat down and wrapped his arm around the lump of brown cloth. He said nothing for he knew fi he opened his mouth to say something, he'd make it worse.
He patted the lump's 'shoulder' softly and pushed it closer to him. he hoped it was actually the girl and not just a lump of brown cloth.
