Happy Holidays one and all!

What is your happiest memory associated with the holidays or your worst?

Thank you MsRose! Happy Hanukah, Christmas or whatever to everyone! 3nodding

I think x-mas is more about giving than anything else. That's why I set aside most of my gold for some presents. I've already got gifts for two of my Gaia pals but I still don't know what to do for my other friends, as I don't have much gold right now. Maybe I should wait and see how much G I can accumulate these days.

Oh and, I do have a cool memory I want to share with you. I can't remember the exact date but I think it must have been an x-mas in the 80's. Point is, I was so excited to get a present in particular. As I opened it, I found not just one superhero action figure, but two of them! They were Spiderman & the Hulk. But that wasn't all, as in the same package came a car, can you believe that!? It was Spidey's car! Talk about unbelievable... I don't know why but it seemed to me that I spent the whole night opening presents (I can't seem to remember the rest of them). It was by far, the coolest night of my young life (I must have been about 10 or less years old). I think it was very special cuz my grandmother was still alive and she past away on 1987; wow, I can't believe it's been 20 years now...
I really can't recall a lousy x-mas though... But I suppose none of the x-mas after that one could live up to it. I kept getting less and less presents; heck! I'm lucky to get 2 at the most, he-he. sweatdrop I'm sure that's only natural right? After all, Christmas is mostly for the kids. 3nodding

i like to give even if it not christmas.

my worst memory is on christmas eve we were freezing during the blizzard of 94. our windows were broken and loose and our landlord refused to fix them so i was freezing. then all we had to watch was the honey mooner marathon. we had to turn off the lights on the tree cause my mom said she couldnt sleep with them on. that and i got socks for christmas while my brother got three new games and a whole lot more stuff. i was depressed.

my best memory is spending christmas with my boyfriend and his family/our friends came over for a gaming day while the old people sang and danced in the kitchen.

I know what you mean, I do give when I can, not just on special occasions.

So when you say yer bro got games, do you mean video games?

That x-mas with yer BF sounds great Chippy! How long ago was that?

Ha-ha! Yeah, and no amount of brain training can change that, right?

Hey! I just thought of this joke:

It's the season for "forgetting" about your troubles and for "forgiving" all who harmed you. lol

I have many wonderful Christmas memories. Most of them involve family and food, two of my favorite things. I remember getting presents to. For me the joy wasn't just getting presents, but watching everyone open what they got. Christmases when I was a kid were like family reunions - and with so many people at out house for Christmas gifts seemed to pour out from under the tree like an avalanche. Since everybody wanted to see what everybody else got, opening the presensts seemed to take all day. And of course Christmas food is the best food of all. My favorites were deviled eggs, cheese and cracker plates, and most of all the traditional Christmas Eve dinner where we hade prime rib and Yorkshire pudding.

I voted for getting not because I like getting more than giving, but just because it usually works out that way. I can't afford to get all my family the same quantity or types of gifts they give me, but I still try to give a little something to everyone who gives me something, just to let them know I am thinking about them. I am lucky that my kids are still young enough that they don't care about expensive gifts like video games. Coloring books and toy dinosaurs make them happy.
