So, I started playing KoL a few days ago and I'm kinda confused..

I LOVE the game. So I want to know a few things.

1) What can I drink/eat/whatever to maximize adventures/stats? I find the few adventures I get is way too little.

2) What's the easiest way to get high level quickly?

3) What are the best weapons and equip stoof for a Pastamancer? Currently, I am level 6.

4) What's all the ascension business about?

5) Best familiar?

6) Anything else a newbie should know? Especially stuff that will help me get further in the game quicker..

I will pay tips in gold for any good info. heart

So, I started playing KoL a few days ago and I'm kinda confused..

I LOVE the game. So I want to know a few things.

1) What can I drink/eat/whatever to maximize adventures/stats? I find the few adventures I get is way too little.

The only really worthwhile items that give you adventures are food and booze. Anything else is really rare and really only gets you one adventure.

The really good food and booze can be found during special events, or by combining ingredients via cooking or cocktail crafting. Also, look out for the, I think it was called, dead man's pocketwatch that you can get from gave robers in the misspelled cemetery. Also, try making a meat-maid. To make one, meat past together these ingredients as follows:
cog + sprocket = cog and sprocket assembly
cog and sprocket assembly + spring = whatever the heck that was
empty meat tank + meat stack = full meat tank
whatever the heck that was + full meat tank = meat engine
meat engine + frilly skirt = meat maid body
smart skull + disembodied brain = brainy skull
brainy skull + maiden's wig = meat maid head
meat maid head + meat maid body = meat maid

Use the meat maid in your inventory and it will be added to your campsite. Having it there will grant you four extra adventures a day.

Try hunting down some chrome equipment too. Those tend to give you three extra adventures a day when equipped.

And also, if your clan has a calendar in it, that's another four adventures a day right there.

2) What's the easiest way to get high level quickly?
Try adventuring in the spooky forest with wooden stakes. Kill a bunch of vampires and then trade them in for vampire blood when the adventure shows up in the woods. Drinking a bunch of blood really buffs up your stats at lower levels.

Another thing you can do is join a clan with stat boosting machines. Use up some adventures and up go your stats!

Be sure to check your class's guild. If you manage to get inside Fernswarthy's Tower, adventure around until you get a book. You can read it once a day in your quest items area and it will boost your primary stat a bit.

Other than that, work hard, eat food, and drink-drink-drink!

3) What are the best weapons and equip stoof for a Pastamancer? Currently, I am level 6.
That's entirely based off of what you can find, afford, and so forth. A lot is personal preference. Do you mind doing lots of damage with bad side-effects? Or would you prefer something weak and useful? Just adventure around and get some 10 leaf clovers and go adventuring around sometimes. You're bound to get stuff if you just experiment and stick with it. Also, a baby gravy fairy familiar may help. Just combine fairy gravy with a knoll mushroom (I think) and you'll have one!

4) What's all the ascension business about?
That, sweetie, is something you'll just have to find out. There's a reason newbies don't know.

5) Best familiar?
Again. Entirely personal preference. I tend to stick with either the Leprechaun, baby gravy fairy, or cocoabo. Get the leprechaun by adventuring in the spooky forest with a clover. Eat the cereal you'll get there and MAYBE there'll be a leprechaun at the bottom. No guarantees. And to get the cocoabo, keep combining cocoa eggshell fragments until you get a cocoa egg. You get the fragments at a later level though. Sourry. Also, you have to cook the fragments.

If you REALLY feel sadistic, try adventuring in spooky-raven manor's conservatory. You'll get little dusty piles of bones that when you use, you get some random bones, if any. There are 100 to get, and it's VERY tedious. And annoying. Once you have all 100 pieces, combine the cranium and jaw, and then use the resulting head. You'll get a really creepy, and really powerful familiar that does extremely large amount of spooky damage.

6) Anything else a newbie should know? Especially stuff that will help me get further in the game quicker..
Best tip? Take it slow, be thorough. Enjoy your first run-through because... well, you'll probably find out. Anyways, check the mall for awesome items every now and then, check the flea market too. Sell items in either of those places to make quick meat. Adventure EVERYWHERE! If you aren't strong enough to handle it, come back a level or two later. Also, just enjoy it. It's witty and lots of fun.

I will pay tips in gold for any good info. heart

Keep in mind, you're level six on your first run-through, so things are supposed to move slow. That's expected.

Answers in bold. wink
