People are old enough to vote when they are old enough to suffer the consquences of how the election turns out.
Many argue that "you're not mature enough to understand about it until you're [insert random number here]", but that is just bullocks. I know 10 year olds who are more mature, and know more about the political system, than some 30 year olds.
If we're to determine it through maturity we have to run psychological tests before allowing people to vote and that is just not going to happen anytime soon.
I like 18 as a guide line. If you're old enough to marry and sign contracts you should be old enough to vote...
