The underground system that is Meikyuu Caves has two entrances. One is in the vast wasteland that leads to Iwagakure, the other in Abunai Canyon to the north. The caves were once used as the invasion route and hiding place of many enemy ninja, until the residents of Iwa were made aware. Rule number one; never use an enemy's well-known home as a hiding place or you will die. Incidentally, the caves have reopened and are now used as tourist attractions. Tickets for the cave tour are available at the stand located at both entrances.
