Ryuga began to leave the castle after eliminating a ninja who had gotten in the way of the Yoinokuchi. Knowing about Ryuga's hatred for the Kazekage, the leaders often gave him the Sunagakure-related work. He made sure to button the top of his high neckband and put on his hat so nobody could see his face. The last thing he needed was to be identified and placed in Suna's "Bingo Book".
As he turned a corner, he was met by ten Sunagakure Shinobi, all in Anbu masks. They obviously worked directly under Sabaku no Gaara. From the shadow his hat casted, a devious smile could be made out. Ryuga unbuttoned the bottom of his cloak and pulled out three scrolls, gripping each between two of his fingers. He threw all three into the air and lept up with them. He muttered under his breath, "Puppet Master Jutsu!" Each scroll shot a large cloud of smoke from the writing on their surfaces. When the smoke cleared, Ryuga stood atop a giant spider-like puppet.
The men before him were not so much scared of this puppet, but more so of the one standing at its side. It looked almost exactly like a comrade of theirs from years ago, Sabakuda, Ameikiru. From Ryuga's fingers ran Chakra threads that connected to each of his puppets. He made a couple quick movements of his fingers and the puppet resembling his older brother darted at the men. The sound of cracking bones echoed off the walls of the castle courtyard as one man was pinned against the back wall, a giant sword through his mid-section. The puppet, Nii-san retrieved the sword and turned to face the other nine men.
While their focus was on their fallen man, the spider puppet, Gumo, raised three of its eight legs and hacked through three of the ninja at once. Its blades, now drenched in blood, glimmered with an ominous glow in the moonlight. By the time the remaining six soldiers managed to realize what Gumo had done, Nii-san grabbed hold of the third puppet, a large shield with a mouth called Shouheki. The shield launched several wires that dug into one of the men's skin. The man then lit up as he was electricuted and burned to death.
Gumo lifted another leg and brought it down through another's shoulder and out through his waist. Nii-san had both swords in hand now, and flew like a bolt into the remaining four Anbu ninja. He re-appeared on the opposite side and three of them shreded to pieces seconds later. Ryuga laughed as the men were slaughtered one by one at the hands of his puppets. He jumped off Gumo's back and walked slowly toward the final man, who attempted to run, and got backed into a corner.
Approaching the trapped shinobi, he drew a long kunai knife from his sleeve. The man tried to back up, but felt only the weight of the wall behind him. The color left his face as Ryuga removed his hat. "That was fun. I didn't expect to get to play with more of the Kazekage's dogs today." The Anbu recognized the boy as Sabakuda, Ameikiru's little brother, and his eyes began to water. "Why?" he muttered. "Revenge, plain and simple" Ryuga said back just before he thrusted the knife into the man's heart.
Before leaving, he put his hat back on and walked around to each shinobi to make sure they were dead. Call him sadistic, but to do this, he stabbed each multiple times with the knife and after he saw they didn't scream or resist, he knew. The puppets returned to their respective scrolls and he left the castle to meet up with his leader, Uchiha, Saya.
