How long have you been a fan: I've been a true fan for the past two years, but I've heard their music from my Dad my whole life.
What is your favorite song/album: To be honest, it changes. But I would have to say "Tom Sawyer" because it was the first song I ever heard from Rush. My favorite album. This is a tough one because there are so many good ones. "Moving Pictures" is my favorite. It's so well put together. The others aren't too far behind.
Which band member would you like to meet and why: Another tough one. All of them. But if I have to chose one, it would be Alex. Very under rated. (For all you under raters, see the beginning of "La Villa Strangiato") I recall reading in an interview that he writes all the guitar parts on an acoustic guitar. I would love to chat about how he comes up with the music.
Do you play any instruments or sing: Yes, I do sing. I also play acoustic and electric guitar, 12 and 6 string, mandolin, synthesiser/keyboard, and some bass.
Do you compose music or lyrics: Yes. Currently, I am in an acoustic duo with my Dad. We're called "The Vinnys". My Dad plays lead guitar and I play rythm guitar. I am the lead singer and he does background. We have two videos on Youtube. Type the vinnys in the seach box. We play covers as well as original music. The songs we cover from Rush are "Different Strings", "The Trees", "The Spirit of Radio", and a cool rendition of "Tom Sawyer" where I play the guitar and keyboard. When we put it up on Youtube, I'll post the link if you want to see.

Hello River. I went to youtube and found one video of you and your dad playing Love Alive, but that was the only one I saw. Is that the one you were speaking of? It's nice to know that people of my generation are turning their kids on to our music. We're seeing more and more young folks coming to our concerts and it's refreshing. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more of your playing on youtube in the future.
